Lost Inn Lisbon

beware of bed bugs!!!! found a large one crawling up our wall next to my bed earlier today. thankfully reception was understanding and said they would either switch our rooms or give us a refund (if we emailed their manager, so haven’t received one yet), but we changed hostels immediately.

Unfriendly staff, very rude and not welcoming. Electricity wasn’t working for around 48 hours and no apologies or solutions provided. Bathrooms were dirty. No social atmosphere. Note that you also have to pay an additional city tax in cash which they don’t tell you before booking. I would not recommend staying here at all.

Lovely area if you are into gang violence, rape and stabbings, the cultural enrichment community offered me a fair price of 400 euros to keep my life right next to this place. Great memories, highly recommanded for adrenaline addicts.

While i was showering as a female a man came into the bathroom to clean the area. Without any consent he entered the bathroom. I dont care he is gay. I think it’s very low respect for female’s and i felt absolutely uncomfortable. There are females cleaning the area’s too so why did it had to be a man? He could’ve asked or announced that he would enter the bathroom which he did not. Absolutely disgusting

Nearly 50 Euros for a shared room is shockingly bad value for money. Also, you would imagine that this would at least include a towel, but no, they still try and charge you like the avaracious parasites they are. The worst part though is they insist on taking cash payments for the insidiously high city tax. I did my research and discovered that under EU law, there is no legal oglibation to pay by cash. However, this didn't stop the moronic girl on reception trying to block my exit as I left.

I don't know how this place has such high ratings on Hostelworld - it's completely misleading. The rooms were absolutely disgusting, with filth and grime on the walls, bogers smeared in plain sight, and bathrooms that didn't even function. The shower doors were broken, toilets were literally covered with cardboard, black stuff hanging from the ceilings that looked like mold... BEWARE!! It was so bad I requested a refund - which they agreed to - but it never arrived, and they ignored all my follo...

I would have given a 5-star review as the place was great, up until checkout. The girl on the desk wouldn’t give me back my 5 euro deposit for my towel as whoever gave me the towel and took the money didn’t add it to the system. She then started quizzing me about what day and time I was given it so can search cctv. After 10minutes I couldn’t wait any longer and just told them to keep it and buy a drink. Lost Inn in its “property policies” strictly prohibits older people from staying in its hostels in Lisbon and Porto. It recently enforced its ageist policy against me. Bed bugs friendly... When I arrived in this hostel on 22nd October, I asked the woman at the front desk if there were bed bugs in the bedrooms as I had just read recent reviews mentioning them. She answered there weren't any. 5 days later : I have been bitten at least fifteen times and those bites do look like bed bugs bites. The more I had, the less I slept. Located really close to pink street! Location is on a hill so walking to other areas is a little annoying but still has a good central location. Beds had curtains and doors locked with a key card. Bathrooms were clean. Sangria hour was fun and they also gave us soup! Great way to meet people

Had an amazing stay in a private room! The building is very clean including the bathrooms and is a very neat building. The staff were very friendly and approachable. I also left an item by accident my last day in Portugal and Ricardo was so helpful and able to ship it to me in a different country. I am so appreciative of it and it speaks volumes to their customer service!

Could not be happier with our stay at Lost Inn!! Clean, and safe. A great atmosphere with fantastic free sangria every night. Rodrigo and Pedro were especially great staff and made us feel very welcomed!

Great stay here! Easy to make friends, clean beds and bathrooms. Bring clips or pegs for the bed curtains that don't close properly. Lots of stairs!

Easy to socialize, clean, and comfortable. As it’s very close to Pink Street it can get loud at night but it wasn’t horrible. When I went unfortunately they weren’t doing the Sintra tour but having free sangria every night was a great perk

Great location near the city centre. Staff were very welcoming. Bed was very comfortable with curtains for privacy. Bathroom was clean and tidy. I would stay here again if I come back to Lisbon in the future.

Loved loved loved this place! Everyone was so friendly, beds were clean with curtains and a great place to find community with the free sangria every night! An amazing hostel to stay in if you’re solo travelling :)

I think this is a pretty decent hostel! I wouldn’t say it’s great but it’s not bad at all. Strong choice. I liked how our beds had curtains. The nightly free sangria is pretty awesome and a really good way to meet people. The location is great, very close to everything. Felt safe! Nothing really wow’d me, but a good spot to rest.

Ich war sehr zufrieden mit dem Hostel. Ein sehr soziales Umfeld und es war immer etwas los. Das Personal super freundlich, geräumige Waschräume/ Toiletten auf dem Gang. Die Küche hatte alles, was man braucht und war sehr sauber! Die Lage war super. Wenn ich etwas wünschen würde dann wäre das eine Chill-Area draussen (Terrasse, Rooftop,…).

Property is located on pink street so it’s gets busy at nights, especially weekends. Can be a little hard to sleep. Stops at around 1-2. The hostel is in a 10/10 location. Easy access to events & shot walk from the metro. You can walk to any location comfortably and it’s decently safe at night. The area tends to be busy so you don’t have to be worried about being isolated. Lighting is decent, but safest is getting back earlier and enjoying the stay with other visitors.
