Omnia Hostel

Takes reservations but wasn't open when I arrived. Check before you book.

The hostel was quite quiet but very clean, lovely interior and polite staff. We booked this for the “cafe” aspect, I do understand it’s the off season but it didn’t seem to ever be operating at any point across the days we stayed there? The ice bath is also currently empty as it’s the off season so don’t expect that if you choose to stay here.

Unfortunately, the staff was not very welcoming. The rooms are small for the price and there is no secure space to store personal belongings. The bathroom is shared and quite small for the number of guests, with limited lighting. At night, the bathroom is very dark.

Great hostel, good location near to town and really friendly and helpful staff. It’s quite a new hostel but they’re really putting in the effort to make it a good place to stay. Bit expensive though

Rally nice and social, not directly at the beach but it’s okay. Activities everyday and good places to chill. Just a little lite at the bed would be perfect for reading in the evening

Omnia is really a nice hostel. I had a private room so I don’t know about the dorms. But the room very cleans and nice! Staff really kind and quite allot of social things such as a family diner. Great pooltable aswell and the location is great! Definitely recommend!

Had a fab stay here, it was really social and there was a lovely vibe. The family dinners make it really easy to meet others, especially great if you’re travelling alone. Love the free yoga and activities organised by the hostel. I loved the silver jewellery workshop (made my own ring). Staff were great! It’s even better if you hire a scooter (you can easily rent them from the hostel) as Ahangama is best enjoyed with a scooter. Small downside - the beds are a bit wobbly. Overall a gre...

Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere at the hostel. Very easy to get to know new people and lots of nice events throughout the week! Would absolutely recommend :)

Would highly recommend this hostel! Incredibly friendly staff (shoutout to Avi and Akil) who were so helpful and kind. The atmosphere was social and friendly, really easy to meet people and there were lots of activities on offer. Defintely stay for family dinner which was absolutely delicious.

Die Räume waren insgesamt sehr sauber und die Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert. Das Personal war sehr nett zu uns. Einzig die Toiletten könnten häufiger geputzt werden und es war sehr hellhörig. Ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

I booked for two nights and ended up staying almost two weeks. Super friendly staff with a great sense of humor, good morning yoga, clean rooms, and excellent showers. A fantastic hostel—I would always come back!

Nice hostel. A short walk from the main road. Staff are lovely and guests are welcoming. There are activities, some of them happen and some don’t or are hosted by another hostel which is a bit confusing. Daily yoga is great. Food is tasty. The family dinners are really nice. They are very helpful. Good surfing community if that’s your thing

This was one of the best hostels we stayed out. The staff made us feel like part of the family. I could have honestly stayed here for months. The family meal was so good and the social activities were so fun!

We had a great stay at Omnia! The staff was really friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice and tidy, great location with just a few minutes walk down to town/beach. Great activities and great vibe, would recommend!

Loved Ominia. Great for solo travellers looking to make friends. The restaurant serves lovely breakfast and dinner (often do family dinners) so most people join which is great for making friends. The host are great and super welcoming. Bedrooms are clean and have good AC. Exactly what you’d expect from a decent dorm room. Clean bathrooms.

Wij hebben hier een hele fijne tijd gehad! Het personeel was heel vriendelijk, het eten was heerlijk en de faciliteiten waren goed! Super fijne plek.

Great staff, friendly and humorous, the food is delicious, and it's very well-maintained and clean. The shower is perfect. Highly recommended.

This hostel is amazing. Dorms comfortable and clean, showers very powerful flow! Cleaning lady is there all day to make sure everything and everywhere is clean! Restaurant is super good! Hostel grounds clean and welcoming. Staff super friendly. Social vibes. Proximity ro main road about 8 min walk to shops bars cafes beach etc…. Perfect! I recommend 100%

Een van de leukste hostels waar ik ooit verbleven heb. Alle mensen die er werken doen enorm hun best om alles naar wens te maken en je thuis te laten voelen. Zelfs na het uitchecken heb ik merendeel van mijn reis hier nog gespendeerd. Super sociaal en leuk om als solo reiziger mensen te leren kennen! Bedankt voor alles!

Best hostel I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Super clean, very social with many activities to join like family dinner and beach days. Unlimited free water. Attentive staff that would do anything to make you feel at home. Would come back any time!
