Cheerful Hoi An Hostel

Couldn’t recommend this hostel enough🌟Hien is a wonderful host creating a friendly, comfortable stay and has so many amazing local reccs for things around Hoi An. Brilliant location (walking distance to rice paddy fields or Old Town), use of bikes, street food tour and tasty breakfast, make it such a great place to stay. I stayed in the private room which was spotless and had a lovely balcony. This hostel is the perfect mix of relaxation and social at the same time :) thank you Hien❤️

If you are looking for authenticity and memorable experiences, this hostel is the right place. You will get a real taste of vietnam

The best hostal I’ve stayed at I don’t know how I’m going to go to another one😂 I loved it here❤️ mama was the best she made me feel at home❤️ I extended my stay because I was so comfortable here I didn’t want to leave! 10/10 would recommend to anyone! Definitely coming back

I’d give it 10 stars if I could. This was the best stay I’ve ever had. It felt like family. I ended up staying 6 days instead of 4. Hien (the owner) is the best. She takes care of everything, has the best tips, and makes sure everyone feels comfortable and gets to know the others quickly. You make friends super fast. The rooms are spacious, clean and yes, the beds don’t have curtains, but you don’t need them at this hostel anyway (the lower beds in the 8 dorm have curtains). It’s a qui...

I had a lovely stay! As everyone says the owner Hien is so friendly and caring. She helps you to organize everything with better prices. She took us on a free Street food tour to cheap and delicious local places and has a good connection to an amazing cooking class and made sure, everyone in the hostel connected. I was in the three bedroom dorm, which was huge with comfy beds. Even got a banh mi for the night bus :)) It is located a bit outside of the center, but you can get a cheap bike there.

10/10. Würde jedes Mal zurück kommen. Fühlte mich sehr sehr wohl, vor allem wegen der Inhaberin, total nett und ehrlich. Sie hat die besten Touren und Empfehlungen in Hoi an! Räume werden außerdem jeden Tag gesäubert!

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Hien is very welcoming to everyone and has the best tips and tours in Hoi An. It was very clean and the breakfast was delicious! Also the vibes in the hostel were the best. It’s so easy to socialize. If I’m in hoi an again I will definitely come back

I stayed here 5 nights and loved it. The breakfast here is the best I’ve had at any hostel and the rooms were very clean. Mama had a lot of insight she was very eager to share and her food tour is incredible.

This was the best hostel I have stayed in in Vietnam. I arrived at 7 am and received a very warm welcome from Hien. She gives honest advice on what to do in Hoi An. We had a delicious breakfast every morning. The rooms were also super clean. So overall, the best hostel for in Hoi An!

Amazing hostel, the owner is so so so sweet and good at what she does! When you stay here she will take care of everything you need, she knows the best cooking course and tours and places and taylors and even does a street food tour herself which I highly highly recommend. Whatever you need, just ask her and she will arrange it for you and you won’t have to worry about anything! If you want an amazing wholesome experience stay here!! 🥰🥰🥰

I loved staying at Cheerful Hoi An Hostel!!! The Owner is the sweetest person ever and made the place feel like home! She would solve any problem you had and care for you no matter what🫶 Besides that, the rooms are clean and spacious, you can rent bikes for free, the breakfast was delicious and the surrounding was quite and peaceful!! Nevertheless, a very social place 🥰 I would come back every time!!

I had the best time in Hoi An all thanks to Hien❤️ she really makes you feel right at home. The hostel itself is very nice to stay in and it’s easy to meet other people if you’re a solo traveller. Hien gave me the best recommendations for things to do, rented me a bike, organised a street food tour with other people in the hostel and even made me a banh mi for my flight🥹 I will be back here again!

It was my first hostel in Vietnam, and I must say I’m not sure I Will be at another hostel with such warm and welcoming host, and such social vibe. Hien the host Will take you on street food tour and cooking class for Cheaper and better than what you find on GetYourGuide. The social vibe was perfect for me - not a party hostel but still social and easy going. went out with other solotravellers every night there (4 nights). Would love to come back Again. Had such a wonderful stay here. The atmosphere created in this hostel is so wholesome and friendly. Mama is so kind and will help with anything you need. Found it very easy to meet people and had an amazing time.

Its all been said before... lovely owner, she has a good sense of humor. I enjoyed my stay here.

Honestly my favorite hostel ever! Mama is actually incredible and helped me so much! Felt like a family! Made Hoi A feel magical! Free street food tour as well which was so fun!

The stay at the cheerful hostel was so amazing and that was mainly because of our host Hien, because she is the best and almost feels like a second mother that helps with everything. The foodtour she did with basically the entire hostel was a 10/10 experience. If we are ever again in hoi an we definitely stay here again

Amazing hospitality!!! I was skeptical because the reviews seemed a bit too good but this place really is great. The host aka our new mom was incredibly welcoming and helps you plan your stay in Hoi An right at check in. She remembers everyones name and builds a great community. Would highly recommend anyone stay here. You will not regret it!! She also makes you a banh mi on the way out
