Surf Inn Boutique Backpackers - Surfers Paradise

This is in fact a party hostel! No kitchen so be aware. If you’re looking to party every night this is the hostel for you. There was someone who threw up in my room and the nights before people had also been partying hardcore. I’d rather they woulr be honest and share that this is a party hostel, so those of us who don’t want to stay in those don’t end up going there. Also, the room I was in (7) shared the en-suite with another room. Really weird. Good things were the location and staff.

I had a disappointing experience at Surf Inn. There is no proper kitchen or even a fridge available, which is very inconvenient, especially for longer stays. The beds were uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the rooms were quite hot due to poor ventilation. Overall, I would not recommend this place. There are definitely better options for the same price.

Très cher pour ce que c’est. Il n’y a pas de cuisine ce qui vous oblige à leur acheter leur repas. Pas très friendly.

the only reason they have good reviews is because guests get a free coffee if they leave one. Horrible vibes, all the staff are unhappy & its because the owner is blatantly disrespectful and rude to them. There is no kitchen & the food they sell is awful and overpriced. save your money and dont stay here

No fridge, no macrowave and no kettle. The common area closes at 22pm because they go out partying. You go out with them or go to your room. Or like they proposed that there is a park further down the road with some benches? Food looked good but personally didn't want to spend that kind of money every night. Staff was friendly and nice! I don't understand why this hostel has such good reviews. But then at check-out they asked me to leave a review for a free drink

Felt some staff were unfriendly and a lot of new rules like not being allowed to bring your own alcohol and no kitchen. The free breakfast is just two slices of bread with an egg and everything extra on the menu is expensive. A corona for example is $7. Seems like the entire place is trying to make money rather than operate like a traditional chill hostel. They also give you a free drink if you give them 5 stars which is shady. It is clean but at the expense of feeling friendly.

Bad I haven’t been able to sleep a single night.

I’ve been traveling around the world for 3 months and this is one of, if not the least of my favorite stays. There was mold in the AC unit that was only set at 24c (I have photos), there’s NO KITCHEN & they kick you out after 10pm of the common areas. Would not recommend nor stay again. Staff was super friendly though. No shade to them.

Swarming with bed bugs & it was reported two weeks before I reported it, none of the proper procedures were carried out like isolating the room as they told us to take all our stuff out & then they just vacuumed and sprayed it & we were all back in within 4 hours! If I could post photos I would. Also the reason there are good reviews is cos they ask you there and then to leave one and you get a free coffee. Only good thing about this place is the other guests and the rep Jack is a vibe.

Auberge bien placé dans le centre de surfer paradise mais très jeunes selon moi. Plutôt des soirées organisées pour les 18-20 ans qui veulent faire des jeux d’alcool. Il n’y a pas de cuisine et frigo pour les guest, la nourriture est pas mauvaise mais ça manque de plus de choix healthy.

Social clean hostel!!

This is such an amazing hostel. It is super social, prime location, and the staff facilitate super fun activities/going out in the evenings. Was my first hostel experience and now having been to others it still remains my favorite. Could not recommend more.

Amazing hostel with very friendly staff!

In my opinion this property can’t be termed as a “Hostel” due to following reasons; 1. Reception Desk operates from 0800-2100 Hours. 2. Rooms are very basic and there is no privacy curtains / private light with dorms. 3. After 10 PM everything’s closed. Even outside chairs/ benches are not available/ allowed. Rest it’s almost 10 mins walk from Tram Station and free breakfast remained a mystery (no one briefed or told about that in my 3 days stay).

Super friendly staff!!! The room and ensuite was very nice, and the place was very close to the beach and shops!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in and comfiest bed! Although there isn’t a kitchen, the food you can order is really nice and cheap!

My friend and I loved our stay! Super social atmosphere with a cool pool area. Only downside is no kitchen but it is nice they give you a pretty decent free breakfast and also really cheap food options. Cheap drinks at bar too. Would stay again.
