Yosemite International Hostel

Diese Unterkunft ist ihren Preis absolut nicht wert. Schon beim Betreten merkt man, dass es sich um eine heruntergekommene Bude handelt. In den Räumen findet man Staub und Spinnweben, die Einrichtung wirkt sehr lieblos und zusammengewürfelt. Besonders störend war das extrem laute Klimagerät, das sich direkt neben dem Kopf befand und an erholsamen Schlaf nicht denken ließ. Gezahlt werden konnte nur in bar, Quittung gab es keine. Alles in allem absolut nicht empfehlenswert!

For a dormitory with 16 beds( !!!) plus two private rooms: ONE toilet/ bathroom. No AC, no ventlator, directly to the street, no chair on the terrace, which hasnt been cleaned for months NO living room, NO dining room for the whole facility Not a soark of love, enthusiasm in the whole place. No breakfast, no lockers but over 40$ rent/night. This was the worst value/ price relation that I encountered within a 2 weeks travel through California

not worth the effort. better staying in a campground in the park if possible. the beds were so noisy and of low quality.

no electric power, no wifi, no hot water for two days. they only accept cash, no receipt.

overall it was okay for an overnight stay..spacious private room and clean bathrooms.. and well equipped kitchen, , wifi wasnt great. however i did not like the fact that first he said "cash only, we dont have a machine" and then he said itll be 5% extra charge for credit card. its a fixed rate via our booking so it should have been that only.

Établissement beaucoup trop cher ! Nous avons payé 260 dollars pour 2 nuits dans des chambres très vétuste, avec une chaleur écrasante dans les chambres et nous n avions quasiment aucun ustensiles de cuisine pour cuisiner ce qui semble être la base pour des auberges de jeunesse ! Très déçu. Je ne recommande pas ce logement !

Ik ben bedreigd door een willekeurige man. Ik zat achter in de tuin, toen er een man met een honkbalknuppel er aan kwam. De man kon zonder enige moeite het erg op lopen en heeft daarna mij bedreigt, zonder enige aanleiding. (Ik ben donker van huidskleur, hoop dat dit er niet mee te maken heeft). Het was te makkelijk om binnen in de tuin te komen, wat ten koste gaat van de veiligheid van de bezoekers.

la unica ventaja es el precio comparado con lo que hay alrededor. La cocina es muy pequeña y no hay comedor en el interior. Solo unas pocas mesas fuera. En la casa que estuvimos habían 10 camas en una habitación compartida y 2 habitaciones privadas. Y solo había un aseo para todos. Cuando fuimos nosotros éramos muy pocos, pero si se llena la casa... se queda muy pequeña para todos.

We were staying in the white house and it was incredibly hot in there. Our AC was not working properly so our room was really uncomfortable. The staff there were really nice and helpful. The other travellers were friendly as well. The kitchen was well equipped.

Die Bettengestelle sind aus Metall und das Bett knatscht bei jeder Bewegungen nachts. Unser privates Zimmer hat sehr gemüffelt. Es war eine Mischung aus Motoröl (?) und Schweiß. Das private Zimmer war mit Teppich ausgelegt, was einen unhygienischen Eindruck gemacht hat.

My partner and I stayed for one night. We arrived around 20.45 and had to wait for a while to be let in. There were noone in the reception? The staff was nice though! The dorm was ok. The bathroom favilities were nice. We had to rent the towel, an exstremely small one, for five bucks. The beds were INCREDIBLY noisy. We both woke up multiple times - every time you turned around, everyone would wake up. Would probably not stay again.

Staff was helpful. Food was next door.

Bestes Hostel welches ich je besucht hatte. Super Location, mega Mitarbeiter und ein sehr ordentliches Haus mit Frühstück von 7 - 13.

I was so well served and the place was clean and well organized!! It was one of the best nights of sleep on my trip.

The hostel is beautiful and well located (walking distance of almost everything!!). The free breakfast was really enjoyable. The staff was nice and helpful. The only negative thing is that I saw a couple of ants in the dorm and in the bathrooms.

Pretty good hostel overall, just had a big issue of only one toilet/shower between potentially 15 people. Fortunately the rooms were never completely full but there were still some issues with timings.

I really enjoyed this hostel, very clean, staff were super Friendly. The only things I would change are there’s no boxes or lockers to keep your things at night however you can easily put them in your car and there are no curtains to cover your bed while sleeping , other than those two things I loved this hostel and I would definitely come back!

The private suites lack double beds. There’s only one shared shower/bathroom for 8 people (4 double rooms). The bathtub needs to be sealed and we had to find a plunger to unclog the bathtub whilst showering. The staff: one was friendly and helpful, the other was quiet and mysterious. They only accept cash, which is super dodgy (tax avoidance). Most people visiting Yosemite are foreigners and people hardly carry cash these days.

The Hostel is very good ! People that work there are very nice and you can easily meet international people also.

Bit of a rundown hostel but we didn't need much more. A bit far from the valley, maybe an hour 15 to the middle of the valley, but if you're only spending 1 night in Yosemite its perfect. Probably wouldn't want to stay here much longer and have to drive into the valley everyday.

Only one bathroom (with shower and toilet in same room) for the entire 10-bed dorm. Luckily I was the only person in the dorm but I can't see how this would work smoothly on a busy night/morning.

Cheap hostel to stay for Yosemite Hikes. Not the best furniture but for 2-3 nights it's fine.

Very, very clean. The buildings are old and funky, but that's some of the charm of hostels. A little far from Yosemite (Google's estimate of 75 minutes was accurate), but a great value. There were 2 issues with our reservation (the first from the booking website, the second was my mistake). It took a bit, but the staff figured out the first and were gracious about helping fix my mistake. We will probably be back. :-)

If you plan to cook bring your own oils and spices, they have none available.

Great jumping off point for Yosemite. The main gate for the Valley is 45 minutes away. Very friendly, informative owner. Good vibe!

Overpriced for what it is

I stayed in an old farmhouse. It was the funnest place to stay with old stoves and wooden heaters. It was like staying in a museum. The staff was very helpful and kind.
