A3A Oastel Co-living

The hostel was in an excellent location and had really good facilities, we had access to a kitchen and they had free tea and water. The room looked clean and the bed was comfy. Damp smell probably coming from the bathroom that didn't have an extractor fan but only a window so it stayed wet for ages. My hoody and bag picked up the damp smell so I had to wash them after my stay which is not ideal. We booked a tour through the hostel which we really enjoyed. Overall good except for the damp.

Was okay for a couple nights but wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer. Bathroom wasn’t great and building was quite strange.

Pros: Beautiful green view from the living room. Convenient shortcut to the city center and nearby shops. The private room is clean. Cons: I left my newly bought umbrella in the kitchen, and it disappeared the next day — not a good sign for safety. During my stay, there was constant construction noise throughout the day, so if you’re looking for a quiet place, this isn’t ideal. It feels more like an Airbnb than a hostel, with zero social atmosphere.

This hostel is a good base in Cameroon Highlands but lacks any sort of social atmosphere. Rooms could also benefit from a bug net on windows as we walked in to our rooms with the window wide open and lots of bugs. During our stay the rooms got very damp but we couldn't open the window incase more mosquitos got in

The hostel is hard to find, but once there I had a comfortable stay. I booked a private room which was one of 3 rooms in a shared apartments and wasn’t social. But the Staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were good.

Not entirely sure why this place is on HOSTELworld It’s an apartment share, not a hostel. The apartments are nice & modern, very clean and comfortable but there was no atmosphere whatsoever. It’s a nice place if you want to recharge & enjoy a quiet nights sleep.

L’hôtel était sympa. La salle commune est super, avec des jeux de société et un billard. Il y avait de l’eau chaude et froide dans un distributeur, un micro-ondes, de la vaisselle et du thé. Ils proposent des excursion d'une demi journée (50RM) pour voir les plantation de thé, ou toute la journée pour visiter toute la ville (100RM). Le personnel était agréable et les chambres étaient correctes. Pour les points négatifs : il faisait très froid dans les chambres, les fenêtres ...

I never do reviews but I have to purely for the Indonesian guy that works there he is the best guy on the planet and literally helps you with speed and you don’t even need to ask. I’m really bad with names but he made my stay very comfortable and I thank him!

水とお湯と紅茶が無料で好きなだけフロントで頂けます。アパートには入り口にガードマンがおり、エレベーターはキーの部屋にしか止まりませんので非常に安全です。コーヒーカップやコップや皿やスプーンやフォークなどやレンジやポットトーストまでありますので便利です。

Best value hostel I’ve been to, was really clean and staff at reception were friendly and helpful with information on hiking trails and for booking tours. Location was great with cut through straight into the centre of Tanah Rata, and lots of other backpackers to meet. You stay in effectively an apartment with two other rooms, a shared bathroom, kitchen + living area, which was great for us as the other people were friendly and clean, but may not be for everyone

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful , location was perfect , clean rooms and easy to book tours through hostel , definitely recommend if staying in Cameron highlands

Very very clean. Very convenient with the shortcut to town, close to bike rental, cold fresh water, towel and everything you need. Great to have a private room

Das Hostel ist sehr gut, allerdings nicht für Leute geeignet die eher ein soziales Hostel suchen.

Greta place for the Cameron Highlands, not your typical hostel, private rooms are a bedroom within an apartment shared with two other bedrooms, great to have a shared kitchen and seating area but it took away from any social atmosphere! Bathroom smelt like damp but rest of the place was very clean. Great tours through the hostel too.

Really big space to ourselves, great service and staff. Can’t complain. Central as well

The location is great ( due to the shortcut ) and the Land Rover tour is fab. The room itself was okay, basic but not bad. The bad thing was it smelled of damp, even the pillows and bed had this unpleasant smell and the shower curtain was covered in mould.

Loved the apartment feel, only shared with 1 other couple so didn’t feel too crowded. So nice to hang out on a couch! We were charged more than was listed as the balance due “including taxes”
