Suzhou Blue Gate Hostel

The lady working at the reception was cold, unsympathetic and unpleasant. Hotel untidy, common space cluttered and grimy.

Was a nice place close to everything, owner was lovely, good English

Nice hostel! The stuff speak English and is very careful and friendly. The dorm and the bathroom were clean. The hostel it is near the subway and near the river, the location is excellent! Recommend!

Very clean and comfortable stays. The receptionist is very supportive whenever you need to ask for direction/attractions. I will come back in the future.

The hostel beds and living space was kept okay but the shared restrooms were in dismay. There was no toilet paper and the toilets weren’t clean. I immediately left.

Claire was absolutely fabulous. She saved my ass more than once. She made my trip wonderful

Ich war sehr zufrieden, die Besitzerin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Konnte auch sehr gut Englisch sprechen. Die Lage ist Top! Sehr viele gute Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wenn ich in Suzhou bin werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten.

Very nice and clean. 5 mins walk from metro and some eateries just on the same street. The ground floor comming area has lots of English books and games, which can make the area very sociable. There's also a chubby dog which adds to the fun!

Good Hostel in general! Best things are the location and the staff. Claire from reception was very helpful. Breakfast were awesome! Rooms are ok; but very cold in winter.

Einfach nur eklig das Hostel ist zu vermeiden!

Auberge pour Chinois, lesquels n’ont pas de notion d’hygiène ni de propreté (sauf pour la classe émergeante occidentalisée mais ce n’est pas ici qu’elle se trouve). Douche très bof, machine à laver chaotique, chambre surpeuplée et accueil aux horaires réduits. Pas fait pour les voyageurs.

The staff was very polite. They gave good tips for tourism. Place next to subway. Meals available at request at the reception. The only pitfall is the noise from the street, if you need complete silence to sleep you will have difficulties.

L’emplacement est bon. Les douches communes sont sales, nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude à certains moments. Il n’y a pas de poubelle dans les dortoirs. L’odeur de l’hôtel est nauséabonde, je pense à cause du chien à l’accueil qui n’est pas lavé. Nous avons donc pris une chambre privatif, les conduits d’aération de la salle de bain laissait un odeur d’égout dans toute la chambre. La Clim faisait tomber des goûtes d’eau sur mon lit.
