Hotel Malik Residency

+ its a v bad hotel at a very good location.

- The mid level staff has absolutely no idea what hospitality is. our non smoking room was reeking of cigarettes which triggered an asthma attack for my wife. broken lift, had to scale 2 floors everyday.

+ Spacious rooms with large bed, very welcoming on arrival with a traditional cup of tea. In most parts staff were polite and helpful

- Several times I requested more toilet roll and was told it would be brought to my room but never arrived. On one evening the restaurant staff were extremely rude and ignored us for 20 minutes without taking out order so we left to find food elsewhere.

+ Room was comfortable in general, nothing special but enough for my needs, bed good,tv good and bathroom ok. Didn't have balcony but the view was ok with mountain on the distance. Bellboys were nice and helpful they help me to set up the tv and were polite in general terms They were flexible with the payment taking USD when card didn't work In dining was ok. To spicy maybe but ok.

- Breakfast was terrible, very poor options. Wether is included or not. The staff mostly was not helpful at all, l ask for help to hire a guide, still waiting for an answer. Employees at the breakfast were not very nice when explaining the options of cold and cooked breakfast, not helpful at all . The mornings after having dinner in my room the trays with food leftovers outside were there until midday, so was the trash, making the appearance from the lobby dirty and not take care off. I had to ask for water 2 times in 3 days. Last day they charged me the wrong amount and they asked me to come back to pay the right amount left from in dinning when l was already on my way to the airport. That was unprofessional and ridiculous.

- Limited Food options. Staff not very warm or engaging or ready to go beyond basics

- Staff could have been more courteous. Very rehearsed answers and reading from Manual standard responses to any queries or requests - without being very accommodating. Lacked warmth. Very little food options. Being only veg, they should really re look at their menu for the from rent prices that charge. Quite disappointing. Even breakfast buffet was below average.

+ The breakfast spread was healthy and good. We had good assortment of mixed vegetables,fruits , eggs, live dosa options. The room had all the ameneties and the bathroom had good toileteries. We were welcomed with a nice cold welcome drink and tibetian scarf which is a norm here in Leh hotels. The bed was comfortable and there is a option to have buffet dinner at the property but it is all veg. I got a good deal so am overall happy but I would stay here if I get non street facing room. The folks are nice and are in Ladakhi attire which is unique to this hotel and restuarant is spacious.⁸

- After reaching the hotel tired after whole day of driving we called the restuarant for milk coffee at 6p but they said they cannot do it as they are preparing for dinner. Later we saw there was just 1 single group of 10 people having dinner. They donot have capuccino machine also Also if u get street facing room ask for a different one as windows are not sound proof. In the smoking area people hang out and play music till 2am. Also cars from their parking move out during 12am to 1am so you can sleep after 2am

+ Liked the location - it’s a couple of minutes from the city center, design and cleanness of the rooms, the breakfast was great. The check in went smoothly.

- While the staff were smiley, the communication wasn’t efficient. No responding to messages, no taking dishes after a request, the checkout experience was abrupt and I felt the staff didn’t care less about us. It was a huge difference to Stone Hedge, where we also stayed.

- There could have been room for some air inside as if it was slightly suffocating.

+ Rooms are nice and clean, peaceful environment. Fews minute walk to main bazar. Breakfast is good, staffs are attentive. Good interior design.

- Nothing, only too short to stay here.

+ Location was amazing as it's really close to the market, 5-10 min walk, yet tucked away on a street where it's quiet. Staff were friendly, food at the restaurant was really good, and the room is clean and of decent size.

- Wifi didn't work, the bath area is not separate from the toilet and when you do take a shower, the entire bathroom gets wet.

+ Super localisation , vue depuis les chambres+, petit dej , hôtel très agréable Propre , personnel accueillant et aidant

- Assurer une maintenance régulière des équipements pour éviter une dégradation rapide de l expérience client, à ce prix ce sont des détails qui font la différence ( prises inutilisables , lumières, salle de bain … )

- Lift was out of order. Not best idea in that part of the world when you have just got off a plane from sea level.

+ Beneto and Chadlo were amazing 👏 Very courteous staff! LOCATION is really good, it's 2 mins from the main market. Very clean and crisp interiors

- Shower area should be separate, bathroom gets wet

+ Very nice hotel, clean and confortable room. The food was good and the staff very nice.
