Shanghai Lemon Hotel Huaihai Road

The entrance is on the left side of the coffee shop, there is a set of stairs going up which is the entrance to an escalator to the hotel. The rooms are capsule like, very clean but can hear noise coming from the other rooms. Very close to the metro :)

Pro: Very Clean. Since this is China the staff live on site so they are always cleaning. Location is next to subway exit but may be a little harder to find since you need to take an elevator to the 18th floor. Each room has its own temp control so you can make it nice and cold if you want or if you enjoy 26+ C it can be that hot as well. Cons: Can’t control the temperature yourself. Need to ask staff to do it for you. Bedding is polyester so if you sleep hot, it gets really sweaty.

I don't know why it appears on Hostelworld. Is not a hostel. Is a capsule hotel. Frankly speaking is really small room, but confortable and well located. Do not expect any social live or meeting other travelers.

The hostel provided a simple, well kept place to explore the rest of Shanghai. It was right next to the subway so that helped as well. Keep in mind that to get here you have to enter from Boaqing road. There is a little side hallway before the businesses that you should go into.

This isnt a hostel, it's cheap accommodation full of hot coffin boxes, no ventilation or windows (at least in my coffin box), it can be difficult to location, and the location is a bit out of the way. Staff speak a little English, there is no atmosphere and it isn't a place for backpackers.

I really really love the hotel, great location in the middle of the French Concessionaire, very quiet and so well connected to the main sights via the metro. The staff’s English isn’t that great but we get by with my very broken Chinese. Very clean, which is always a tremendous plus point for me. The only complaint I have is that the signboard is not too prominent.

From beginning to end my stay at the property has been perfect. When I had questions about the hotel and or its surroundings, the staff was always available to lend me a hand. The location was also ideal, since the hotel is close to a metro station. If you are looking for an affordable stay that provides all the necessary essentials, this property is perfect for you.
