We only stayed here one night but it was very quiet and did the job. However staff were nice and friendly.
La Moneda is a great hostel of you’re looking for a quieter and small place in Santiago. The beds are really comfortable and there are big lockers provided in the dorms. The staff is extremely nice and helpful! Good kitchen, nice terrace, double secured entrace, … extra kudos to the cleaning lady who makes sure everything is clean every day!
Good location & safe area. Dorms not as “new” as on the photos, everything is worn down. Bathrooms are not very clean with hair everywhere.
Surprenant (au 4e étage d’un immeuble) et il y fait chaud, mais une terrasse et un personnel agréables et des petites cabines pour dormir dans les dortoirs !
I only stayed one night here but it was great. The whole place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in the female only dorm which has nice private bunks.
Comfy and very private beds in the dorms and big lockers! Staff were friendly too and it was in an apartment building past 2 locked doors so felt very secure. However I found there was no real atmosphere. Only 2 bathrooms for all shared dorms and no separate toilet only facilities.
+ Las camas son cómodas y tenés intimidad con las cortinas. La ubicación está bien para andar de día por el centro, si lo necesitás. De noche no hay nada. Yo llegué tarde del vuelo y me quedé sin cenar. En el hostel tampoco había nada que comprar. El personal fue amable en todo mmomento.
- Tiene solo 3 baños. Siempre estaban ocupados, pero los encontré siempre limpios. No es un hostel, es un lugar para estar de paso, el único espacio común que tiene es una terraza que la cierran a las 11 pm así que de noche, tenes que estar en tu habitación, en tu cama, encerrado, ya que son bastante chicas las habitaciones, y en la calle tampoco hay nada. Es ideal para ir a hacer algún tramite a Santiago por el día. Solo para dormir. No es para estar. Está adentro de un edificio donde hay otras oficinas.

- Que me indicaron que me guardaban el equipaje peor el día que lo necesite, me dijeron que no.

+ Muy cómodo. El.lugar es muy tranquilo y cerca del centro de Santiago. El personal que trabaja ahí es muy amigable.

- Es demasiado pequeña la cama y no tiene ninguna repisa dentro para dejar tu reloj, teléfono o cosas pequeñas. Hay solo 2 baños para las habitaciones compartidas.

+ Es muy cómodo. Los cajones para guardar las maletas son grandes y seguros. La forma de las cabinas da discreción y comodidad. Yo me sentí seguro en la zona. Está muy práctico para moverse.

+ Good location, the private room that I paid to upgrade to was tolerable.
- When I initially booked it was for a dorm. They put me in the highest and furthest back bed. The temperature was complete unreasonable (hot) because they turn off the air conditioner during the day. There are also only two 1-person bathrooms for at least 12 people and staff. You're always waiting as they're usually both occupied and they get dirty fast.
