North Fei Hostel (Branch of Afei Hostel)

This was a great stay. The staff were very helpful and kind. They quickly moved us to another room when we had issues with our AC and gave us recommendations for places to visit. The location was perfect for me - it is a short bus ride away from the main Kenting area where the markets are, but this is exactly what I wanted as the area was quieter and right in front of the beach. The bar area was fun for hanging out (although the music was way too loud on my first night and it woke me up).

Great hostel - we did the surf class and had a great time. Afei is a really good teacher. It was my first time surfing but it made me want to do it again! The hostel has a nice laid back atmosphere; quiet, but also lots of opportunities to socialise if you want. Near a good beach and some nice places to eat. Clean and has everything you need from a hostel, can't recommend enough!

This is a great spot! You won't find many places with such wild, idiosyncratic, genuine style like this - in Kenting or anywhere in Taiwan - especially for the price. It's a huge room, two balconies, great view, nice firm double bed, extra blankets, TV (didn't use), fast wifi, bathtub, hot shower, and all the other necessities. The stairs to go up are steep and narrow, so be very careful. The room may be hard to cool in the summer months since it's big and open. Very nice staff and owner!
