Punta Kai Hotel & Hostal Boutique

Was echt tien keer niks! Personeel was arrogant. Je moet voor je handdoek nog extra betalen. Alles gaat met cash en als je dat niet bij je hebt moet je zeker 20 minuten reizen om een normale atm te vinden. Weinig toeristen. de meeste mensen die daar komen zijn zelf Mexicaans of Spaans. Ik ben dus twee dagen eerder weggegaan en ben toen naar het paziflora hostel gegaan

The place is really nice and clean although I think it’s a bit expensive for the hostel side of things- there is only tiny lockers outside which makes getting ready etc a bit of a hassle and there is barely any space in the hostel rooms for any of your bags. The air con is only on from 9pm to 9am however every night we stayed they didn’t turn the aircon on till around 10pm but no surprise it was turned off on the dot at 9am every morning. No fans or anything for relief during the day.

Punta Kai gives out a free drink for a review so the reviews aren’t accurate. Although the pool is nice and the staff is super helpful, the dorms are not at all what I expected. They are three beds super high carved into concrete. If I was given the top bed, I would have left immediately. You have to climb a skinny ladder to get up and it is HIGH. Every time you want to get your things or charge your phone you need to climb this very painful ladder. It was NOT worth the money.

During check-in the front desk staff was unwelcoming. If I wanted a locker to store my valuables, it wasnt provided without a fee. The locker was also in the bathroom area which was also in front of the pool. Once in my room, the place was a mess and smelled like a foot. No one had enough space for their things. My mattress was thin and covered in crunchy plastic under the sheet and had a throw pillow on it that smelled like a man's cologne (This was female only room). I started to get settled, ...

nice hostel in good location. but it’s really small and toilets are tiny. and no towels you need to rent one. which for me is quite absurd when you have a pool and beach next to hostel. i would appreciate atlist deposit instead of renting. you can’t also change towels to new one if it get dirty. you need to pay every time.

Cons: the dorm has bunk beds on three levels, better if you're not afraid of height. The dorm is not very spacious. Atmosphere was not that great while I was there. Pricey. Pros: very nice pool, awesome view from the roof top.

Nice property and good pool, atmosphere was the only thing that was missing sometimes but the location was great.

Amazing facilities: lovely showers, great AC in the rooms (which was definitely needed in that heat) and the nicest hostel pool I’ve had. Not much of an atmosphere but in the best location for all bars, clubs and food spots of la punta.

Un hostal de calidad humano y calidad del servicio impresionante personas de staff son muy abiertos a escuchar y amables en la atención al huésped tiene desayuno libre por las mañanas con la srita Silvia con una energía y sonrisa espectacular este lugar me sentí muy feliz por la comunicación con todos y siempre están abiertos a ayudarte gracias y será mi opción número 1 en volver para vacaciones de diciembre .

La experiencia ha sido inmejorable. El hostal está en una zona tranquila cerca de Punta, las instalaciones limpias y muy cómodas. Destaco sobretodo la simpatía de los encargados y trabajadores, que me han ayudado y dado consejos muy útiles durante mi estancia. Si vuelvo a Puerto Escondido, sin duda volveré a Punta Kai!!

A very beautiful hostel with an amazing pool and a wonderful terrace on the rooftop with sunset views. The staff were very nice and attentive. If you are looking for a sociable hostel to meet people, this is not the one for you. There is no sociable atmosphere, it is more for relaxing by yourself. Other than that though it was very nice and good value for money

This is definitely one of my favourite hostels. It is well maintained, and has a very convenient layout. The pool is sparkling clean, is in dappled shade, and has an overhead net to stretch out on. Great rooftop terrace for breakfast with expansive ocean view. Not a party hostel, everyone was so friendly and respectful of others. The staff are very helpful. Minor annoyances are that the toilet cubicles are barely large enough to enter and close the door, and laundry can’t be done in the ...

This is definitely one of my favourite hostels. It is a quality-built facility that is well maintained, and has a very convenient layout. The pool is sparkling clean, is in dappled shade, and has an overhead net to lie on. Not a party hostel and everyone was so friendly and respectful of others. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. Only gripe is that the toilet cubicles are barely large enough to turn around in and to close the door, and laundry can’t be done in the sink.

Modern and elegant hostel on Zicatela beach. Comfortable and private dormitories with single bunk beds. It is clean and with a spacious and beautiful terrace-kitchen. The staff in general is nice and the young giri from Perpignan particulary nicer. The guy who snored like a thunderstorm in the middle of the night was the only thing I would have changed about my experience.

I stayed here on New Year's Eve and it was really nice. The staff are quite friendly and helpful, and the vibe is very chill. If you're looking for a cosy hostel that you can relax in then this is the place to be. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the triple stacked beds, as climbing into the top bunk is quite difficult

Location, staff, and the hostel's structure were perfect. The pool is great. The breakfast was in the balcony with the best view from the beach and was a bowl with fruits, yogurt and granola, coffee, bread, butter and jelly. The bed had plenty of overhead space. One issue I had related to Hostelword, not the hostel, was that I left one day before and I was told I couldn't get the last day back because the reservation was through Hostelworld, so be sure of your dates if making a reservation here.
