Bed Bugs!!!!!!!!

BED BUGS! We came to hostel last weekend, 18 of us come back with bed buggs home. One of our friend had alergic reaction, she was all purple.

Si il n’y avait pas eu de bedbugs ça aurait pu aller mais pas de chance, un mec dans notre chambre n’arrêtait pas de vomir en courant jusqu’aux toilettes nu (salle de bain dans un état lamentable de base de toute façon). Je ne recommande pas il doit y avoir bien mieux à Zagreb

You could not ask for a better location. The hostel is located in the heart of the city. Majority of the staff is really friendly, except for the barman who denied not giving my 80 kuna change. The breakfast served is not, I repeat NOT what you see on the menu. My bed was infested with bedbugs, which was almost impossible to get rid of. Not even insect repellent helped. I returned home with high fever, swollen hands,feet and face which the dr. described as a very unpleasant allergic reaction to all the insect bites I obtained from the not so clean bed I slept in for almost 2 weeks. So have fun !!

one word: Bedbugs! So I'm not usually someone who has too high expectations for a hostel (it's cheap for a reason) but this hostel is full with bedbugs. Already last year (Oct. 2016) we suffered from the bugs but we were not sure what it was. This year (Oct 2017) there was no mistaking: the hostel is full of bedbugs. I got bites all over me (at least 50 bites in one night). I saw two bugs during the night as well. This was reported to the hostel staff in the morning. First they changed the sheets and told us that they had checked but not found anything. We went back to the room and saw one of the bugs immediately. We got the staff to look at them and they finally agreed to give us another room for the next (and luckily final) night and they offered to wash all our clothes for us. First we were happy with how they acted BUT then we found out this was not just a one time occurrence. They told us that this almost never happens (3 times in 2 years) but when we went to check Tripadvisor we saw that several people had left comments about the bedbug infestation in the last few months. This is not just one rare case and not just one room. So before they clean the entire hostel (professionals should heat up the entire building) and get rid of all the mattrasses (which are old anyways) I would only tell my enemies to spend a night at the Chillout Hostel in Zagreb. Do yourself a favour and look for another Hostel or rent an AirBnB.

Had bed bugs. Otherwise: friendly staff, great location, lot of noise from the bar, beds are ok not great, bathrooms and bedrooms are clean except the bugs.
