Wombat's City Hostel Munich Werksviertel

Hostel was pretty well located in the old industrial district with plenty of food joints around, closest decent supermarket was across the train station. The 4 people dorm is nice and there are curtains, I found a couple of bedbugs which I told reception and they gave us free breakfast cards, seemed to be genuinely concerned. As a first time female solo traveler, my priority was somewhere clean (I had read horror stories about bed bugs) and this Wombat location did not disappoint as it was spotless. I did not mind having to do the sheets myself. My favourite part was the people, including the staff. Shout out to two particular staff members: the guy at the breakfast area for being so positive every morning and the receptionist that gave me a crash course on Brexit. U guys are awesome!

This was the best balance of inexpensive and quality accommodation I could find. Very clean rooms and common areas. I arrived at roughly 1 AM, so having to make my bed was kind of a drag, but it's an understandable policy. Especially because throughout Europe bedbugs are rampant. The breakfast buffet/cafe was affordable and pretty good. I only stayed from 1 AM to 11 AM, so I don't have much else to say. Better than most hostels and I got lucky with no loud snorers or rude people in my room, so I got very good rest. Highly recommend if budget is a constraint!

But in the morning, the whole body was covered in small bites, I think there were bedbugs in the hotel. This is terrible...

overall not bad. the cafe/bar downstairs was very nice. staff did not seem all that competent, however they were very friendly. the bathrooms were very nice. however, i got bitten by bedbugs in room 104, so the staff should take a look at that.
