Wombat's City Hostel Munich Hauptbahnhof

It was awful. The have bed bugs, be careful people! I told the reception guy about it, but he did nothing. I could not stay there because of bed bug so I had to spend the night in the airport. By the way they didn’t give me money back even though I didn’t sleep there

They have bed bugs. It’s not safe to stay there, I had to leave when I saw this insects on the bed sheets. The reception guy did nothing when I told him about it. They didn’t give my money back

Hostel looked nice inside and had some free activities so I thought the place was fine initially. However, after staying 3 nights there I was bitten 20+ times across my neck, face, and shoulders by bed bugs and developed a severe reaction. Now I'm suffering from the delayed reaction (common with bed bugs) and am scared that my luggage might be filled with the pests too for the rest of my trip.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The room was dark, dingy, and poorly lit. The bathroom was inadequately cleaned and the room had almost no ventilation. On the second day, the toilet became completely clogged. Worst of all, I woke up covered in bedbug bites after just two nights. Cleanliness here is clearly unacceptable and urgently needs serious attention.

Mein Bett hatte Bettwanzen, die ich um 1:30 Uhr in der Nacht bemerkt habe. Ich habe daraufhin als Kompensation ein neues Zimmer bekommen aber mehr nicht. Ich habe nur noch Geld zum Wäsche waschen bekommen. Etwas enttäuschend. Ich war in der dritten Etage und dort gab es keine stabile Internet Verbindung. Mal hatte man Internet, aber die meiste Zeit nicht. Das war sehr nervig. Overall nicht zufrieden.

My friends and I stayed two nights at the Wombats Munich Hostel, and waking up after our first night, we noticed bed bugs in all three of our beds. We mentioned this to the staff and asked for a new room. They seemed shocked and asked us to shower and wash our clothes before using our new room. We had to wait an hour until the shower they told us to use became available. It was not until midafternoon that we were finally able to leave the hostel and try to enjoy what time we had left in Munich.

I initially thought it was okay—not too social or anything—until I saw BEDBUGS!!! They make you strip your bed and put your sheets in the laundry bin. I saw bed bugs crawling in the bin and alerted the workers. They told me they think they are not in my room (and they weren't - I checked). It still ruined my experience and stay.

Everything was awesome until… BED BUGS, yes, bed bugs, woke up with bites that aren’t from mosquitos.

I was bitten by bed bugs and management didn’t do anything about it. They said it is impossible to prevent because they’re a hostel. Disgusting. Do not recommend whatsoever.

Got bitten by bedbugs which they tried to tell me it was mosquitos 😬 but they did pay for the cream so that was good

THREE NIGTHS - 1 NIGTH - CHANGE ROOM BECAUSE IT HAD A TOXIC SMELL OF STINK- LIKE AS IF 50 GORILAS HAVE HAD SEX NON STOP DURING A MONTH WITH CLOSED WINDOWS. -> THEY GENTLY GAVE US AN OTHER ROOM. 2 NIGTH - HELLO BED BUGS!!! EVERYWHERE!! IN THE BED -> THEY GENTLY GAVE US THE BREAK FAST FREE, A REFUND FOR THE THREE NIGTHS WITH THE CONDITION OF LEAVING THE HOSTEL THAT SAME NIGTH. 3 NIGTH- WE DID NOT SLEEP AS WE WERE KICKED OUT, WITH THE REFUND (HOSTEL AND MEDICINE) AND A VERY AGRESSIVE LETTER FROM THE MANAGER. (A LOT OF MISCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE RECEPTIONISTS!!) MUNICH WAS AMAZING BUT I RECOMMEND ANY OTHER HOSTEL! TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS, AND HOW THEY TREAT U
