Hospedaje el Viajero Antigua II

Feel bad to leave a bad review as the actual property and staff were great value for money. However, the music from the bar next door was so loud, it felt like it was in our room. It went on from 6pm to at least midnight. Very annoying as we booked the room for a good nights sleep before our Acatanengo hike. Staff were helpful and helped us change rooms, but it was still very loud. So not a good nights sleep…

The thing that destroys my feedback a bit is that I paid more than twice (!) the price listed - with reference to taxes. So that's a warning to other travellers and at the same time an invite to the team to change their pricing communication and show a price including taxes. In everything else, I'm very positive! The stuff is lovely, very helpful, well organized and also very flexible, so that besides the huge difference between the price shown and paid, I had the perfect stay - thanks to them

It’s a nice accommodation. Clean but definitely an older persons place to stay. We were chilling, talking, on the rooftop (4persons) at 9pm when an older French man came out and started screaming at us cause he wanted to sleep. Made us very uncomfortable as we don’t think it’s unacceptable to talk in a communal space on a Saturday night. Not somewhere which you can meet other travellers.

La localización es muy buena y el personal amable. Nuestra habitación estaba muy muy mal aislada. Se podía oír a la gente cepillarse los dientes en el baño de al lado. Había un cristal detrás del cabecero de la cama que comunicaba con un baño de otra estancia.Poco luminosa y con olor a humedad. No recomendaría quedarse aquí.

We stayed for 2 nights before our Acatenango hike. Unfortunately, we could hear the nearby bar’s music until about 11 each night. Hard to sleep even through earplugs. Otherwise the hostel is great, just not a good pick for light sleepers.

This Hostel was clean and very well located. Great value for the price. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond. I would definitely stay here again.

Chill place to get good rest at before an early start the next day

Great location for the cost. Definitely budget accommodations but it was clean and bed was comfortable. I ranked security lower because the doorknob to my room (3) felt that it could be tanked off with a bit of effort. I lowered the atmosphere ranking because noise travels on the 1st floor. I could hear everything at all hours of the night.neighborhood was quiet at night. Kitchen was basic and older. Only used the fridge.

Clean, great location, affordable & comfortable. Enjoyed the free daily coffee & tea. Excellent hostel overall!

Couldn't ask for much more for the the price you pay. Friendly staff, shared kitchen, right in the centre of town, clean and helpful! Booked one night but stayed for 3

Great value for a basic private room. Perfect for a good nights sleep after climbing Acatenango. The staff were friendly and the facilities were very clean. Had a decent kitchen which we used to cook to save money on meals out.

Great, cosy place to spend a week in Antigua, well-located for all the sights and nightlife. Great value for money, with kitchen a free filtered cwatee annd coffee in the morning/evening. Helpful staff. Only downside was a sometimes-noisy bar next door.

Nice quiet lil hostal, close to everything!!

Super nice hotel. Clean and cozy rooms (I think it depends a lot on which room you get, the ones downstairs close to the kitchen might be a bit louder). It is also not a great place to meet people. But for couples or groups it is a very good place to stay. The location is also perfect and the staff super nice!!!

Place is great. I stayed in the single bedroom and had no problems. Close to everything and staff was very helpful!
