Aha Lanta Cozy Hostel

Het hostel ligt erg afgelegen waardoor je wel een scooter moet huren. Verder is het personeel al vroeg naar huis, waardoor als er iets voorvalt je niet zo gemakkelijk iets kunt melden. Verder werden er (niet in mijn dorm) bed bugs aangetroffen, het personeel heeft wel snel gehandeld, maar er hing toen ik wegging een rare geur (door de gebruikten chemicaliën waarschijnlijk).

There were bed bugs during my stay and I don’t feel the issue was handled well. The staff didn’t notify anyone in the rooms, i only found out because someone told me. Not all the beds were checked for bugs. They really needed to empty those rooms and have everyone wash their fabric. Because that didn’t happen the problem spread and now likely many travelers are bringing them to other hostels in Thailand.

Een super fijn mooi hostel maar helaas vol met bed bugs! Mijn hele lichaam zit onder. De service was redelijk ze hebben gratis mijn kleren gewassen en een refund voor twee nachten gegeven. Gewisseld van hostel maar veel last van de beten. Mensen die de dagen erna aankwamen hadden hetzelfde probleem. (een vriendin is een paar dagen daarna aangekomen en ook weggegaqn) Vermijd dit hostel! UPDATE: Ze hebben geantwoord op mijn review waarin wordt gezegd dat mijn verhaal niet klopt of dat ik zelf bed bugs meegenomen zou hebben. Dit is absoluut niet waar! Ik ben ontzettend alert en leg nooit mijn tas dichtbij mijn bed. En had voor dit hostel nergens last van. Ik heb zelf niet gevraagd om een bedverschoning dit is mij aangeboden. Ik heb die avond zelf geen beestjes gezien maar wel bloedvlekken, zwarte stipjes & huidschilfers van bed bugs. De volgende dag zag ik ze wel op het bed (dood). Ik ben bij de dokter geweest voor zalf die bevestigde dat het recentelijke bed bugs beten waren (ik werd de tweede dag wakker met de beten maar dacht eerst dat het muggenbulten waren)

Ik heb een review geschreven op google daar is op gereageerd maar ik kan daar nier op reageren er zaten bed bugs in mijn bed en mijn hele lichaam zat onder ze proberen te zeggen dat het niet waar is/ik ze zelf heb meegenomen dit is absoluut niet waar! ik ben ontzettend alert en leg nooit mijn tas bij mijn bed ik heb ze in deze situatie niet zien lopen maar wel stukjes huid/bloedvlekjes gezien en mijn beten waren volgens de dokter absoluut bed bugs de volgende dag zag ik ze op het bed (dood)

4-7-25 BEDBUGS We arrived late and found bedbugs in the room, We switched places real fast which was difficult at 11pm. Later we saw that they had google reviews of bedbugs from 1 month ago and 3 days ago. They responded to that review that they did a treatment. But obviously they are still there. So they DONT inform you or CLOSE the hostel. And tell you they are gonna fix it but they DONT. Terrible places, don’t go

BED BUGS. I feel sad leaving this review because the hostel itself was very lovely and the beds were very comfortable. However, they had a big bed bug infestation in the rooms that they were warned about before by previous guests and didn’t communicate about. I’m sure it’s a lovely place to stay once they solve this situation.

BED BUGS. I feel awful writing this review because it was a lovely place and very hospitable. I was contemplating if I should even write this but I found bed bugs in the bed and they gave me a refund for the night but didn’t inform the other girl still in the room that there were bed bugs in the room. So unfortunately, as I would want to know. I’m informing others.

Me robaron en el hostel y nadie hizo nada al respecto. A la recepción poco le importó. No me ayudaron siquiera. Muy triste. Además, en las habitaciones había chinches y mi cama tenía la sábana rota. Los baños no están bien mantenidos.

Even though they were still dealing with a bedbug situation, they still checked in people that day. I understand it is unfortunate and they were taking action towards fixing this issue but I think they could have been more transparent about it.

Es gab Bettwanzen. In meinem Zimmer und auch in 2 anderen Zimmern. Den anderen Gästen in den jeweiligen Zimmern wurde NICHT Bescheid gegeben. Ausserdem wurden keine Maßnahmen dagegen getroffen bzw. das Personal ist einem nicht entgegengekommen und hat sich blöd gestellt, wenn man nachgefragt hat. Hatte große Erwartungen und war sehr enttäuscht. Die Leiter am Bett ist sehr steil, deswegen war es etwas anstrengend hoch und runter zu kommen. Das Bad hat ab und zu gestunken. Es gab wahrscheinlich ein Insekten Problem im Hostel, da ich in meinem oberen Bett und meine Freundin im unteren mehrere Ameisen im Bett hatten. Sie hatte dann auch Bettwanzen, bei mir im Bett waren typische Kot Flecken von Bettwanzen. Außerdem wollte ich abends das Personal darauf ansprechen, mir wurde gesagt das ich kurz warten soll und ich wurde dann alleine gelassen und niemand ist mehr gekommen, deshalb konnte ich dann am nächsten Tag erst das Problem ansprechen. Das war schade.

One of the best hostels i’ve stayed in ! And definitely one of the best on Koh Lanta. Rooms are spacious and beds have curtains around them for extra privacy. Bathrooms and common areas were always clean and well kept. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Free breakfast is a nice added touch and is really good. Had to knock one star off as there was a bed bug infestation whilst i was there so had to remove all our belongings from the room so they could disinfect everything but it’s good they addressed the issue straight away.

Insgesamt war das Hostel ganz gut, auch Frühstück war sehr gut. Allerdings hatten wir leider in einem unserer Betten Bettwanzen und mussten dann auch noch zahlen, um unsere betroffene Wäsche zu waschen.
