Encontré bedbugs en mi cama 🫠 Y el colchón estaba bastante pozeado, debe haber sido muy viejo

After check-in my girlfriend checked the mattress as we had seen a review recently with bed bugs. She found lots of ants or some similar looking bugs in the mattress so we showed a video to reception. They sympathised and offered to clean it and advised they were fully booked so we couldn't change room. They offered a full refund in principle (it's been over a week and I still haven't received it). I thinks it's quite clear that this property needs to do a deep cleanse and consider changing the mattresses. (Our room was room 7 - private double) I can't attach the video but here's a photo.

Perfect location, amazing rooftop bar with friendly staff and people at the Bar. Pool table and socialising with other travellers was a fun part. My only concern was the the uncomfortable beds, making noise when someone turns during sleep in the upper bunk, also too many mosquitoes and bed bugs 🐞 Staff often leaves the doors opened which allows mosquitoes to enter the room. Rest everything was ok.

El primer día quise extender mi estadía y pagar por aplicación y me dijeron que ellos me respetaban el precio que decía la aplicación porque la chica ya había hecho la reserva por su sistema. Después de hablar con 5 chicas diferentes terminamos pagando lo que ellos nos quisieron cobrar, sin respetar lo que se nos había dicho en primer momento . La ducha estaba mal puesta y se inundaba todos los días . Vimos que cuando se iba gente en la habitación y entraba nueva, no se cambian las sábanas de abajo. A la tercer noche un compañero se levantó todo absolutamente picado por algún insecto, cuando nos pusimos a buscar en la habitación nos dimos cuenta que estaba lleno de chinches y terminamos durmiendo en los sillones del hostel. Mi hermana también al otro día se descubrió un montón de picaduras . Al siguiente día pedimos que se nos devuelva el dinero y nos fuimos a otro . La limpieza y la atención dejan mucho que desear .

We found traces of bed bugs on the pillow (the skin they shed when feeding). Not very inviting. We slept in our sleeping liners just in case and didnt get any bites.

Place was clean aside from bedbugs in my mates bed, hilarious for me would absolutely stay again as long as my luck continues. My female friend found some under her sheet and was like screw that and switched beds with him and they came and put some powder on the bed but that didn’t work - he got multiple bites on his legs and was itchy for the next couple of days. I’m sure he’s taken them off to infect another hostel…

I did not have an enjoyable stay. I found a bedbug in my basement room. The hostel then proceeded to lose my clothes when offered to clean them because of this. A guest urinated in the dorm at 4am - while this was not their fault, it took until 5pm and many trips to reception for this to be cleaned. This hostel is poorly managed, I don’t recommend staying here, the owner does not seem to have control of the cleaners and they just say things to appease you. The only positive is the social side.

Toilets dirty, cold shower with low water pressure. Poor internet connection & not recommended for people who work remotely. Hostel construction work at 8:30 a.m. directly above the dorm, waking everyone up. Seriously? My personal belongings were put in a rubbish bag on the floor by the staff without any information, as a general cleaning was carried out due to suspected bed bugs. Sorry, but for the price per night, this is not acceptable! The staff were friendly

There’s no lockers in one of the rooms which the staff seemed to be unaware of. There’s no windows in the bathroom so the whole room smells. There was also bed bugs while we were there, that’s ok it happens. But we were told by other guests as opposed to staff even though staff already knew and were “dealing” with the situation. It wasn’t dealt with, there were more found and we ended up having to find new accommodation at 8pm 2 days before Christmas. To her credit the owner did give us a refund, however I

My friend and I only stayed 1 night instead of our planned 3 due to a severe bed bug infestation. The hostel initially seemed great—nice rooms, clean bathrooms, fun atmosphere—but the next morning my friend had numerous bites. We checked the bed and immediately found multiple bed bugs. Staff were informed (pictures of the bed bugs included) and offered to wash our belongings, assuring us it would be done by the evening (I had a ferry booked the next morning). One staff member only offered to change the sheets, which felt concerning, so we asked to move rooms. We were also told not to tell others in the room, as some people “aren’t understanding,” and were given a free drink voucher, which felt dismissive. When we returned that evening, nothing had been cleaned, so we left and booked elsewhere. We were refunded for the remaining nights, given a free beer, and promised our clean laundry by 9am. We quickly checked our old room, and the infested bed had been remade with fresh sheets for new guests, seeming like no precautions had been taken. The next morning, only half our laundry was done, and our backpacks hadn’t been cleaned at all. While staff initially seemed sympathetic, their attitude became rude and made us feel like the problem. This infestation clearly wasn’t new due to the outrageous amound of bites. Theres many amazing hostels on the island skip this one!!!

Bed bugs!! When saw(!) one in a private room,the receptionist took of the price for the room and guaranteed a free breakfast,ok. but told us he can’t help us find a different place due his shift is over?!so we had to stay in the room with no other option.When we stressed how bothered we r,he started accusing us maybe we brought it with us,and when asked to check the dorms room we’ve been moving the day after, he compared it to ants-so they won’t check every room cause it’s only one?!never back

Beaucoup de choses à améliorer dans cet hostel malgré la bonne volonté de la patronne Joëlle : - Check- in à 11h (la réception n'ouvre qu'à 8h pour récupérer les 400 Bhats de caution pour la clef et serviette de toilette). Le changement des draps et nettoyage des chambres est fait dans la foulée et assez bruyant par le personnel qui ne respecte pas beaucoup le sommeil des autres occupants de la chambre. - Lits superposés très bruyant et sans espace pour ses affaires (aucune tablette) - Salle de bain très glissante surtout quand il pleut - Pas de shampoing ni gel douche dans les douches (sauf une) - Pas de réduction de prix sur hôtel si Divemaster avec le centre de plongée ECHO (seulement hôtel gratuit pour Open Water et Advanced pour 2-3 jours) - Le barmaid pas aimable et qui tire la gueule - Pb d'hygiène lié aux coupures d'électricité : pas d'eau donc les WC se sont vite transformés en champ de bataille diarrhéique (en plus alors que le Norovirus ressurgissait). Après l'avoir signalé, des grandes bassines d'eau ont été ajoutées pour flusher Les WC. - Pb de punaises de lit - Je suis restée 10 jours: jamais mes draps ni serviette de toilette n'ont été changés - Pas de remboursement si départ anticipé ( je changeais de lieu pour mon Divemaster et pas possibilité de me faire rembourser pour 4 nuits pour lesquelles j'avais étendu mon séjour la veille avec la réception) - le Port est bondée de gens et bruyant. Grosse circulation de scooters.

Rooms had bedbugs and location is a bit far from the main street of hostels and restaurants - took my deposit as i checked out late, i then saw someone check out 2 hours later than me and they got their deposit back! Staff were nice and friendly and they have a lot of long term volunteers that are trying to make the atmosphere as good as possible. Id recommend get new comfy mattresses with no bedbugs, mattresses seemed warn and very hard.

However I wouldn’t personally use it for anything else. It was very loud, felt like sleeping in a club with heavy music all night. Despite that I did actually sleep pretty well with headphones and earplugs. Definitely more of a party hostel which might suit some, but wasn’t my vibe for a long term trip. One thing I didn’t like was the doors were all kept open and the guys didn’t even give me keys as the doors stayed open at all times. You do get a pretty decent locker but defo bring a lock for it. I also don’t love the pier area of koh Tao - I think there are nicer places to stay further up in the mountains but that’s just my preference.

There were bed bugs. Searched on reviews after seeing them and 4 others had said the same. We told staff and they refunded us without question inc. the night we’d stayed and offered a free meal. They said they’ll deal with the problem but it’s doubtful as I can see they’ve commented on the other reviews saying it’s been sorted already and they did not let on to us that they knew this was an issue. Shame as it would’ve been a good stay otherwise.

There were bed bugs. And I do mean bed bugs as opposed to a random bug in the bed. The staff were super nice about it, they took it seriously and changed my room, did laundry etc. From talking with other girls in my room, I wasn’t the first to report this, the rash and the itchiness just soured my stay.

I really like this hostel! The only problem were the bed bugs in my room.. but the stuff were very friendly, helpful and took care of it.

I spent 2 nights in different times. The first one I was in a bunk bed with a huge hole where I could fall, also next to a window, open when I arrived, and with no blinder curtains. Mosquitos killed me during the night and after the sunrise I could not sleep anymore. The second night I was in a better room (same price) in the new building right in front. The problem? Bed bugs!! I could not sleep again...

Le dortoir dans lequel nous dormions n’avait pas de fenêtre et était assez glauque. Le dernier jour, on a remarqué des punaises de lit…

- C'est la première fois en 3 ans de voyage que je suis confronté à des punaises de lit. J'ai allumé la lumière la nuit et j'en ai vu courir sur mon lit et sur le mur, autant dire que ca a gâché ma nuit. J'ai pris quelques photos des bestioles (cf photos en pieces jointes) et je les ai montrées à un espagnol de la réception le lendemain, en disant que je partais. Le gars ne semblait nullement étonné, aucune excuse, aucun remboursement, il m'a juste remercié pour mon séjour. Je me suis plaint à Booking car j'ai eu des frais subséquents (désinfection de toutes mes affaires demandé, légitimement, par l'auberge suivante). Ma requête a d'abord été sans succès, mais au final cela s'est terminé avec la gérante de l'hostel Echo qui m'a contacté en présentant les excuses de l'hostel et en faisant un geste (voir partie "ce que j'ai aimé"). - Le problème des punaises a été le principal aspect négatif forcément, et c'est dommage car l'hostel semblait globalement bien sinon. A noter quelques autres points d'améliorations possibles: pas d'eau chaude dans la douche, le sol glissant dans la salle de bain (j'ai dérapé et étais a deux doigts de tomber), rien pour poser ses affaires quotidiennes a côté du lit (une tablette aurait ete appréciée) et enfin un espace entre le lit et le mur, qui fait que des affaires peuvent facilement tomber, notamment pour celui qui est en haut (et ca n'a pas loupé, j'ai recu un livre et le téléphone de mon voisin du dessus, lol)

The rooftop is amazing and the staff was very nice. However, there were bed bugs in our room (and other rooms) and we had to change room in the middle of the night to sleep on a camp bed in the hall. Since they knew they have had bed bugs in their hostel for a while and they still run the place, we were very unsatisfied. Some staff members pretended they did not know there were bed bugs in the hostels, while others told us they were living in the walls. Additionally, the showers were leaking so the sink space was a real pool, and the soap was empty… However, we thank them for giving us a full refund. Probably a very nice place once they’ll clean and fix everything.

EVERYONE in the hostel was sick, I’m pretty sure it’s coming from the kitchen. The hostel should have a duty of care if that many of their customers are getting sick. There was a rumour about bed bugs going round and a few people changed hostel. The bathrooms were old, the rooms were outdated, dark and grim. It needs a good paint and a GOOD clean. There was rubbish under my bed that had been there a long time…the cleaners come everyday but they just surface clean, the place needs a good deep clean.
