Vista Verde Hostal

I didn’t enjoy my stay. The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. I asked several times to extend my stay and kept being told to wait, until I was finally told it was full. After I got upset, the front desk said I could stay but had to change dorms. Packed all my things and then told me I can stay in the same dorm. In fact, the dorm was nearly empty. Why say the hostel is full??? No lockers, extra blankets cost extra. Bathroom had huge spiders. Loud music until 11:30PM made it hard to sleep...

Kann ich nicht empfehlen. Das männliche Personal war sehr unfreundlich - außer die Frau. Auf dem Privatzimmer gab es kein Klopapier und Kopfkissen. Generell war es sehr einfach und nicht ganz sauber und für den Preis einfach nicht gerechtfertigt. Außerdem zu beachten, es ist extrem hellhörig, alles kann mitgehört werden.. und nur Barzahlung möglich

Literally the worst experience of my life. The host is disgustingly rude and aggressive, and on talking to other hostels in the area, has threatened past clients with a gun when not happy with the rooms. Just check the reviews on google, this place is terrible.

Really really bad. Flies and other insects everywhere, also had 20 dead flies in my bed. Unsafe as a woman to stay there. Beds were also hard and uncomfortable. Don't go!!

I had a very disappointing stay at this hostel. The rooms were dirty and clearly not well-maintained. The bedding consisted of old Disney princess throws that had an unpleasant smell, making it hard to feel comfortable. The so-called mosquito nets were dusty and would release a cloud of dust when moved. The overall atmosphere was far from relaxing—the walls were painted in harsh bright green and yellow, which felt overwhelming. More concerning was the lack of security.

We got treated very poorly by the personel, the rooms were dirty and the atmosphere was very dull. We wanted to cancel a tour an hour after booking it and they charged us a 30Q fee for cancellation. When refusing to pay, they threatened us with calling the police. I would not recommending staying here.

One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed at. Kitchen closes at 8.30pm and they take the only drinking water available and lock it away until the morning. Got locked out of the hostel after 12 midnight and had to fit through barbed wire to get back in as security refused to open the gate. Eventually after about 10 mins arguing he opened the gate for my two friends. No AC in the rooms is a killer. Didn’t sleep a wink. My friend got charged 30Q to get some boiling water for his noddles.

Bed bugs. Woke up with unexpected bites on my arm. Hostel was filthy. Staff was rude, extremely unhelpful and incompetent. Tour guy from the hostel seemed like he didn’t want to be there. 12 o’clock curfew so can’t leave the hostel. Can’t ring a doorbell or take a key.

Leider wird hier gespart und trotzdem versucht ein VIP zu vermarkten was es definitiv nicht ist. Keine Küche , Trinkwasser nur eingeschränkt verfügbar 7-10h, Alles kostet extra. Empfang und Service wirkt übermüdet und mit wenig Motivation. Besonders Negativ: meine Beine wurden zerstochen über die Nacht. Es aus dass von der Decke irgendwelche Tierchen fallen und Beine zerfressen- Bettwanzen? Kein Heißes Wasser zum Waschen.Fast-kein Internet.Security zwingt zum schlafen.

Nous n’avons passé que 2 nuits au Vista Verde mais avons adoré. Le lieu est très bien tenu, vraiment propre. Notre dortoir était douillet. Le personnel est tellement gentil. L’ambiance était paisible et joyeuse. Les installations permettent de profiter de la nature. Nous recommandons sans réserve Vista Verde !!

Very nice place! Up on a hill, stunning views. The treehouses are just adorable. The atmosphere is very nice, easy to meet people. Food and drinks are cheap and good! Staff is super kind! And yes, the party hostel on the opposite hill is annoying. In some houses you hear their music as if u were in their party.

Cool place to stay at! They organize tours to Semuc Champey and all shuttles, the hostel is great for chill day as well! Stuff is very friendly and helpful, really recommend :)

En Lanquín hay solo dos hostales en los cuales los dueños son guatemaltecos y este es uno de ellos. Los trabajadores son personas locales y dan un excelente servicio. El ambiente es relajado. En la noche podes comer y tomar algo mientras juegas al pool escuchando música de todo tipo hasta horarios razonables. Las habitaciones son rústicas pero todo está limpio. La comida es rica y bien servida. Si una señora te ofrece chocolate en el hostel, ayúdala❤️ La pasé muy bien, gracias a todo...

Cool hostel in the area! Right near Zephyr so you can walk to go party there if you want. You will be able to hear the loud music from it tho if you are trying to sleep at vista verde

Very cool Hostel and perfect to do the semuc champey.

Correct pour deux nuits à Lanquin pour faire Semuec champey.Ils viennent vous chercher au bus et vous y emmène aussi. Il n'y a pas de cuisine et la nourriture est correcte. Nous avons organisé un tour aux réserves naturelles et c'était top ! Contrairement aux autres hostels, nous n'étions que 5 personnes pour le tour, ce qui est super agréable ! Les parties communes sont propres et les chambres aussi. Nous avo s eu droit à une jolie vu depuis nos cabanes

Prima basic hostel, met basic kamers. Wel in een hele mooie omgeving.

We loved the vista verde and enjoyed our stay! The view of the cabins is amazing and living so close to the nature is just beautiful. Food was great and the staff really helpful! We definetly can recommend the hostel! :)

Hostel efficace pour quelques nuits pour visiter Semuc. Moins pratique s’il pleut.

Ok this is not a hostal. You can’t prepare your own food. Captive audience. High prices for food which was generally good except breakfast which was small. Facilities good with pool and grounds,rooms and toilets very clean. Room comfortable and no mosquitos as previous mention from other reviews. Fan in our room good. Walk into Lanquin for the real Guatemala. We all come to see semuc champney and that was a wonderful place.

Mooi Hostal gelegen op een prachtige locatie met een heerlijk zwembad waarbij je uitkijkt over de bergen De dorm was wat krap en moeilijk in te komen met een klein trappetje en zonder een kluis om je spullen op te bergen Personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het restaurant had goed eten Voor de prijs wat je betaald krijg je voldoende terug

There’s not much going on, but you can go in less than 10 minutes to Zephyr Hostel or the main street They also offer a free transfer to the bus station when you arrive to Lanquin, when you leave it was about 5 quetzales

Las habitaciones y baños están un poco viejos pero en general está bien. La piscina y el espacio compartido son muy agradables

Fijne plek, net even buiten Lanquin dus het dorp is even lopen. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De tour die ik heb geboekt bij het hotel was super ! Ik heb een leuke dag gehad. Het eten is prima. Toen ik in het hotel was, was het aardig rustig. Het is niet heel erg een levendige bedoeling maar meer om tot rust te komen. Ik sliep in een 2 persoonskamer. Dit is wel wat gedateerd maar prima geslapen ondanks de warmte. Let op geen airco maar alleen een oude ventilator.
