Absolutely amazing! The hostel is in the middle of nature and a real place of tranquility. Coming here really felt like being welcomed to a family and from day 1 I felt at home. It is important to know that this hostel is not located near Minca but in a different place. Getting there was easy; I took a mototaxi for 30k

Een plek waar in 25 jaar zoveel liefde en werk is ingestopt is moeilijk in geld uit te drukken. Omringd worden door zoveel natuur die er 25 jaar niet was geeft hoop en dwingt bewondering af voor de mensen die het mogelijk hebben gemaakt.

This is the best hostel I have ever been to and I’ve been traveling in Colombia for the past 5 weeks. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, the food is healthy and delicious, the private room I stayed in was tranquil with the sound of the river outside. This area is remote and a great place to connect to nature, I felt like I was at a retreat! would recommend to anyone looking for a reset, wanting to be close to nature, and get outside of the touristy areas, it’s incredible!

Heaven on earth! What a magical place. If you like to be close to nature, in the middle of a forest and botanical garden, next to a river and waterfalls, without warm showers or swimming pools, this one is for you. Gracias Caoba, I will forever remember you 💚

Everything about this place was just magical. It felt like home. From the warm welcome when you walk in to the yummy home cooked meals. It’s truly a place to just relax in the beautiful nature. The cuddly puppies and happy animals running around the place just add to the experience. Their commitment to preservation and consciousness to their environmental footprint is also worth noting. Katherine and Jade were so lovely and clearly care about your experience. Wonderful experience!

Bar none our favorite hostel in Colombia. An incredible stay that we wish we could have extended. Food is great, and the entire space and surrounding forest is enchanting. We want to come back!

Wonderful stay. It was clean and the people were friendly. Very peaceful and beautiful, well-maintained nature reserve. Ended up staying two extra nights than I planned.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Reserva Biologica Caoba. You're completely immersed in the rainforest is a unquie stay where Caoba is restoring the rainforest. May provide a warm welcome looking after us durring our stay. Access to the lodge is a challenge. From Bonda 4x4 options is very expensive $150 COP for 1 way taxi is $30 COP one way. One 4x4 transfer costed the same amount as three nights stay with food. As two backpacker travel here needs to be considered before staying here.

A relaxing getaway from the busy city centers with a fun option of getting there by moto. Staff was really friendly and kind, and always serve with a smile. The best part of the stay was the food, by a large margin some of the best dishes I’ve had while in Colombia. The chef is genuinely so good deserves her own restaurant

This place is heaven on earth. The folks at check-in were so sweet, the meals were all healthy, delicious and hearty, and rooms were like a magical retreat with an exceptionally comfortable bed. I stayed here to get away from the bustling party hostels, to be able to unwind and take in nature. The grounds are lush and quiet, perfect for writing, listening to the birds, and identifying plants.

Pros: - Relaxing environment - The cook was amazing and we had great food 3 times a day (you pay for it) - Nice rooms to relax in Cons: - As it was quiet there wasn’t much emphasis on “hosting” and we felt we needed to figure things out ourselves a bit - The 4x4 trip to the accommodation is a bit rough

One of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. I was hoping for some relaxing time in nature without loads of people and it's exactly what I got. So much wildlife, an amazing river and really nice and helpful staff. Such a special place!

Amazing location in Paso del Mango. Surrounding environment is stunning, right in the heart of nature. Ideal for switching off for a few days and exploring. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Spent 4 blissful days and recommend highly for the experience.

I love this place so much. Such an inspiration. Feels like home vibes. Nice and health food. Amazing nature all around. So quite. Cares a lot about the nature, the local community and taking care of our world.

A gorgeous place near paso del mango, felt very off grid and a very wholesome/warm/safe environment. Gigi was absolutely fab - so lovely and helpful. The perfect escape into the jungle for some wildlife/nature time. Reiterate a previous comment about meal portions being on the small side (though the food was very good!) so may choose to bring some snacks etc with that in mind

A true hidden gem. The perfect place to relax in nature. Not a terribly social hostel but wildlife and surroundings make up for it. Delicious food, river fun to take a dip in and grounds are the most amazing place to explore. One of the best places we have ever stayed, would recommend if you’re interested in relaxation and exploration. Gigi is a delight & extremely helpful!
