Worst Stay Ever – Hosteller Munnar Is a Complete Scam 🚨 We stayed at Hosteller Munnar on New Year’s Eve, paying an absurdly inflated ₹6,000 per night, and it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. This place didn’t just disappoint—it destroyed our entire vacation. After a 9-hour exhausting drive, we arrived only to be told that the restaurant was not functional and we must drive 30 km back to find food. 👉 No prior call. No message. No warning. This level of negligence is unacceptable. What followed was worse: ❌ Rooms are filthy and NOTHING like the photos ❌ Lizards, bed bugs, spiders in the room + cobwebs in the bathroom ❌ Stinking smell everywhere—rooms, corridors, common areas ❌ Mold all over the place ❌ Broken furniture and zero maintenance ❌ Old, non-working TV ❌ No fan, no ventilation, no mosquito mesh – rooms are suffocating ❌ Balcony has NO view—only bushes, insects, and undergrowth The so-called “Star Gazing Room” is a joke. It’s just a cheap plastic enclosure that smells like animal waste. Completely misleading and disgusting. The café food was unsafe and unhygienic: • Dirty utensils • Overpriced low-quality food • We fell sick within two days Because of these horrific conditions, we were forced to cut short our stay and leave early, abandoning our planned vacation. Instead of enjoying Munnar, we spent our time dealing with filth, pests, smell, and stress. ⚠️ DO NOT FALL FOR THE FAKE PHOTOS OR HYPE Charging premium New Year prices for such unhygienic, poorly managed, and deceptive conditions is nothing short of exploitation. Hosteller Munnar should be avoided at all costs. Management must respond and be held accountable.
