Hangover Chill & Hill

This hostel was affordable, but I felt it was quite unclean, the bathrooms smelt bad and there isn’t a door to enter the bathroom and toilet area, therefore stray animals can wander around which I did not like. I prefer hostels nearer the centre so for me I wouldn’t stay here again. The staff were great tho it is just the physical hostel itself I did not like due to cleanliness.

If you’re looking to socialize on Koh Phi Phi this is the place to do it. Nice property and easy to meet other travelers. The owner Leo was super friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make us feel at home. Good AC, clean, and the beds were comfy. My only real negative of the property were the bathrooms. With no AC, they felt unbearably humid at times. Not really any counter space to put your stuff down or even paper towels to dry your hands. Otherwise, would stay there again.

Loved my stay here. Leo and the rest of the staff are amazing, so kind and integrate everyone together so is a very social atmosphere without being a party hostel. Facilities are quite basic so is maybe on the more expensive side for what you get (but is probably a standard price for Phi Phi). Very short walk into the main part of Phi Phi

Nice clean modern rooms with air con. The bathrooms were nice but the wholes at the top of the shower’s need a window or something fitting because they let in bugs. Also the place is a bit of a building site so they should lower the price until it’s all done. Was a lovely stay none the less and I can see this being the top place to stay once all renovation has completed! Worth staying there now, all the facilities you need, pool is lovely ❤️

Hangover hill and chill was a really great place if you’re looking to swim in the pool all day and walk to lookouts. It is quite a walk from the ferry doc, the rooms smelt a bit garlicky, and there was little to no security around the property. In saying that, shout out to the staff, especially Eduarda, for being so kind and accomodating.

We had the best time at this hostel in Koh Phi Phi. Leo and his team were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we need. Everyone at the hostel was so friendly and easy going, we did the speed boat tour around the island visiting maya Bay, definitely worth the money. We booked our ferry out of the island too with Leo! Loved this stay so much, recommend the hostel to lots of people along the rest of our trip as well. 10/10

The hostel was in a great location and the pool was nice. I think the vibes were a bit off though. People were a bit clique and unapproachable. I think part of that is the hostel trying really hard to force fun with events that people aren’t overly keen on. There is a heavy reliance on drinking to make the event fun rather than people just having a good time. Overall a good stay. Probably best suited to 18 year olds.

La chambre et la salle de bain sont vraiment super et propre. Leo était vraiment adorable et donne pleins de bon conseille. Juste un peu loin du centre et pas si social que ça.

This is a nice, relaxed place to stay with a clean pool and friendly/helpful staff. There is a nice, covered hang out area outside and free water, coffee, bananas and cookies. There are plenty of toilets and showers, all directly behind the rooms, just a few steps away, which were clean with hot water. It is not a super social hostel, as there is no bar or organized events. The downside is that the hostel is up a hill out of the way, and with no Grab or Bolt or taxis at all, you have to walk.

Really sociable hostel with amazing host. The pool could do with a clean but otherwise clean and good facilities. Beds were fairly comfy and dorms spacious. The walk up the hill is very doable to be away from the main streets.

Loved this hostel was the BEST!! Perfect vibes. All the people were so amazing and everything is so thought out. Thank you for GREAT stay!!

Great and social hostel with very nice staff

Best hostel I have stayed at. The workers are all like one family. You can tell they love all their guests, the hospitality is unreal. 10/10 recommend this hostel.

Very chill and social atmosphere. I enjoyed it a lot. It's a bit outside and thus quiet at night, but the centre is just a 5 minute walk away (nothing is far on Phi Phi).

Had an amazing time here! Staff was all wonderful and helpful, Eduarda helped us book a boat tour and we all had so much fun! Rooms and bathrooms were clean, a bit of a hike up to from the center but well worth it!

Would definitely recommend this hostel. The beds were comfy, I was in the top bunk and found it easy to get in and out. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they always greet you in the morning with a smile. Eduarda helped me find my bag after leaving it on a boat tour - thank you!! Was a very nice atmosphere as well, very chilled and sociable.

Such a nice hostel with clean rooms and bathrooms. The pool area is also really nice and the perfect spot to hangout. Don’t be put off by the hill!! It’s not that bad and you get used to it. Eduarda was so welcoming and gave helpful recommendations and tips daily.

This hostel was great! The staff are soo kind :)) always wanting to help you out or give advice and encourage social events and things! Only con is it’s a little up the hill, but still really close to food and things. The island isn’t really that big haha. Also, I wish there was a little more security for it, pretty much anyone could have walked into our rooms (although I wasn’t too concerned about it since it’s in a little of a more secluded area of the island).

I loved my stay here so much. So relaxing and away from the noise. The dorms and bathrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable (the mattresses were a little hard and spring-y but fine for a few nights). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool is the best part! So good to hang out, swim and chat to other travellers.

It was such a lovely stay! Staff, place and the vibes were 10/10. They were caring and helpful to every guest. Brazilian owner and staff also just added a big plus :)
