CocoRico Hostel

Me and a lot of people I know got sick from the food/water from the hostel.. The staff is super nice to you but kind of in a performative way which isn’t necessary and takes away from natural connection. AC in the room is not on during the day (only between 7pm and 11am) so taking a nap in the room is not possible. My pillow smelled rancid and there were stains of I don’t even wanna know on the curtains. For a hostel thats 20-40 a night I’d expect way more sadly…

Not worth the money. The hostel is having renovations and the noise is constant all day. Staff were unhelpful, didn’t tell us where the bus departs from, didn’t help resolve an issue with a person who caused multiple people to move hostel, and moped prices were way higher than advertised. Social at night but not worth staying here if you want to sleep, just visit.

Do NOT stay here! I had to leave earlier than planned and check into a different hostel because there were RATS in my room. I couldn’t sleep because all I could hear was them scuttling across the bed headboard. Two people having s** at 2am in the dorm’s bathroom. The place is so unclean.

There was rats in the bed, they live in the walls and come out when it’s dark. A lot of people woken up to rats moving through their sheets or under their pillow. Also sheets were dirty, no working shower

if you're looking for a place with rats in your bed (no, i am not kidding), no showers, half functioning ac, dirty toilettes and construction work starting at 7 AM daily next to your dorm this is the place for you!

there was rats and cockroaches in the room, staff sat in the room and on people’s beds throughout the day and night, no running water, toilets didn’t flush, curtain kept falling down in bed, no lights in beds, bad aircon

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The shower doesn’t work so the only way to wash is out of a big bucket with a scoop. The staff are constantly chatting and sitting in the dorm room because it’s connected to their staff room. The actual beds are nice, but need a light. There was also a fight one night and the staff did nothing to intervene or kick people out the hostel. Lots of other guests said there was rats too.

The party is nice but I would not recommend to stay there. The 18 bed dorm got only one bathroom, in which the sink did not work and it was dirty most of the times. You have a curtain, but no light in your bed. There are lockers, but everyone just puts their bags on the floor so it is not a lot of space there. The last night the water did not work at all so there was no opportunity to shower. Also the doors are never locked, so everyone can enter the room, during the party people just walked in.

great hostel very very social and close to port barton beach. restaurant on property is good and staff were lovely. good laundry service too.

Had a really good experience overall. The room was surprisingly cold even with a lot of people in it. There were only 2 showers and 2 bathrooms tho but were always really clean. One of the highlights of my trip was definitely the boat party. It was so much fun and honestly one of the best parts of my trip!

Phenomenal hostel. Don’t be discouraged by the fact that you’re sharing a room with so many people. The dorms are set up as comfortable pods, so you still feel like you have your own private space. The bathrooms are also nice and spacious, which makes a big difference in a busy hostel. This is a proper party and social hostel, so it does get loud until around 11 pm, but that is part of the experience and wasn’t an issue. I honestly wish I had stayed more than two nights here. The best hostel in port barton, and very social starting around 8pm. The food is really good too. The big rooom isnt as cold as the smaller room, but the smaller room only has 1 shower/bathroom. The rooms are decently clean, nothing really stands out. Friendly staff, except for one lady at the bar. But overall, definitely had a great time here

this hostel was super nice! there is only one bed room with a LOT of beds which means that it’s going to be noisy, people come at night after partying taking loud in the room but it was still great. the restaurant is amazing and it’s the busiest and most social place, specially when there are events.

Stayed 1 night and had no complaints. Food there was just ok but very convenient. Beds were capsule style and I had no problems but you do have a lot of "roommates". Lockers were big. Party hostel with events. The bathroom was really nice.

Good hostel, beds were so comfy! Double bed with 2 thick pillows felt like luxury😂

24 hr air con, great vibe and staff, town is very lowkey an enjoyable. Only negative is no hot water but in the heat you don’t really need it

Spacious room for lots of people. Wish there was more showers. Atmosphere was fantastic and they did a 30 min free drinks hour (as many as you like!).

Door is wide open in the bedrooms all day and night with no security out front anyone can walk in and out of the rooms. There’s no chill area only the bar/ restaurant seating areas

A very social hostel with comfortable beds and in a great location close to everything. Staff were very friendly also.

Best social hostel in Port barton.

Great place to meet new friends, as solo I met many new friends that afterwards were going to El Nido as I did (this is the typical first step in Palawan). Good kitchen and clean. Highly suggest the party boat with the crazy crew staff. However, pay attention to your items! Some of us lost their belongings which were left after the tour on the boat or on the visited beaches (slippers or some others bags).

Me ha encantado! La cama muy amplia y muy comoda. La taquilla era grande y podias organizar muy bien todo. Es una habitacion grande pero espaciosa. El personal muy amable y el sitio estaba limpio y correcto. Genial ubicacion al lado de la playa y cerca de todo. Ademas es un bar com mucho ambiente. Repetiria sin ninguna dudaaa

Lovely hostel, good bar, friendly staff, and the hostel room is spacious, with capsule beds. Showers are always cold but that’s common in port Barton as the water pressure is awful everywhere, but after a hot day it’s not bad to cool down in.

Best location, great atmosphere & people. Cute and good vibes. Best drink prices & free drinks.

Locatie top, prima sfeer. Fijne bedden. Er wordt gelijk aangegeven dat het een partyhostel is. Dit valt opzich mee, om 23.00 gaat de muziek uit en kan je prima slapen. Goed eten in het restaurant! Je hebt alleen niet echt een lounge gedeelte, dat miste ik wel. En in de badkamer zou het fijn zijn als er haakjes komen te hangen voor je kleding. Jammer dat er geen zwembad is 😝
