   It was very cost efficient. The self-checkin was convenient and room was clean. When I did the check out, the front desk Tanvi asked me if I could leave a review on Booking.com and I could get a free coffee for it. I approved and then she grabbed my phone to submit a 10-score review with a comment ‘Tanvi was great”, without my consent. She did not stop even when I asked her to give my phone back during her typing. I found another review regarding Tanvi on the review page today so I believe it is not just me. It is this behavior that makes me call the Booking customer service to delete the original review and leave this new review. I initially wanted to give a 8 but now it becomes a 4 score. But the employees last night were very nice so I believe it is just this specific employee’s behavior.

   We arrived at the hostel (which was advertised everywhere as a hotel) at 5 pm and the receptionist was very nice and helpful with the self check-in. Then we entered our room and found it in a mess and not cleaned, even though chek-in was supposed to be from 3 pm. We asked the cleaner about it, and she rudely said "It's getting cleaned." We took photos and went to the receptionist. He called them to ask why the room isn't ready and they lied to him that it was. After showing him the photos he came to check the room which OBVIOUSLY WASN'T CLEAN (you can see it in the pictures).They told us to wait 10 minutes. After we got in we found only one out of five beds made, blood on the wall in the bathroom, a lot of dust and a clipped fingernail on the bed. The door to the room kept making sounds like it was being opened every 10 minutes throughout our stay. The five of us got only 5 small handtowels and no actual handtowel. The water pressure was very weak and the water temeprature went from hot to cold on its own constantly. The window wasn't able to close all the wall. When leaving we were almost late for our train because the other receptionist (with glasses) was nowhere to be found. He rudely told us to leave a review and so we did.

   Avoid at all costs. We had no other choice for mid price hotels/hostels during Octoberfest despite booking back in May so thought we'd take a chance on this place despite reading mixed reviews. Biggest regret. Paid more at time of booking for 4 bed dorm but was placed into 6 bed all female (we are M/F couple). Staff were clueless and weren't even aware of this at check in and just gave us keys. We only found out once we entered the room to the surprise of another female guest. Staff did not care when we told them and instead moved us to another mixed 6 bed dorm. They were extremely unhelpful when we asked to to refund price difference of 4vs6 dorm, instead giving us a number to call their manager by ourselves! The room, common areas and hallways were all filthy and stained with foul odour, although the bathroom inside our room was OK. Security is non existent and people often sneak extra people into the room to sleep overnight. Only 4 lockers despite 6 beds. Woken by drunk roomates in the early morning for all 3 nights we stayed. Luck of the draw as to whether your room faces the train line, in which case you may as well forget about sleep due to trains passing every few mins. Beds are coated in vinyl, presumably because of their bed bug problem (see other reviews) which makes for a sweaty uncomfortable night. All mattresses the same sinking type which lead to a sore spine (and I only weigh 60kg). Tldr: the low ratings for this place are warranted! Don't make the same mistake as us if you have the choice (should be possible outside of Oktoberfest). I have stayed in many other hostels and this is hands down the worst experience.
