Mind Day Hostel Khaosan

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I don’t understand how hostelworld gave this a 10 on everything and I got trapped into booking this…. Most dirty place ever (mind you i slept in a private room) there were bedbugs and mold everywhere. Would never stay here again…

Not allowed to check in before 9PM at night!!!!! Absolutely destroyed my travel plans in the first few hours of arrival making my stay in Bangkok an unmitigated disaster.

J’avais réservé le une chambre pour femme, donc j’ai payé un peu plus cher pour au finale me retrouver dans une chambre mixte. Je n’ai pas eu le choix de rester sur place car il était tard, je n’ai pas eu de dédommagement non plus. Très décevant, de plus la propreté dans les salles de bains n’était pas au rendez vous..

Tried to sleep in our beds but found bedbugs crawling everywhere

The Lobby is smelling like a wet dog. And all in all this Hostel looks and feels s*****. Everything is broke, old and dirty. No reccomendation.

Avoid if you can. Better options in the area for similar prices. Bed bugs was the main issue for us. Foul smell throughout the building which stays on ALL clothes for a few days. There also soo many strange noises throughout the night. Worst sleep we’ve had travelling. We were meant to stay two nights but left after one No craic about the place either. Probably because everyone else is annoyed about bed bugs and the smell Location is perfect, can’t deny that. Although not anywhere ...

Die Bar auf der Terrasse ist das sehr schön mit einer guten Atmosphäre. Die unterkuft hingegen ist nicht sauber und sehr veraltet. Für den Preis kann man auch nicht vielmehr erwarten.

super dreckig!! vorallem der lärm vom der straße war schlimm. außerdem viele tiere ums bett herum. ich hatte sehr angst vor bett wanzen

Photos on the listing were laughably outdated with the beautiful common area having been renovated to accommodate 2 private dorms meaning the common area is now dark, stuffy and depressing. Place wasn’t that clean either. Only good thing about this place was the staff as they were friendly.

Stayed here for many months over the past year +. I feel like part of the Mind Day family. Fantastic hospitality, AMAZING staff and great location for Khaosan Road/markets etc. Thank you all, see you soon

Overall just not a great value for your stay - bathrooms are pretty gross and small for the number of people and there is no locker situation for your bags so had to sleep with them in my bed. Would look elsewhere for a different hostel

Die Betten waren nicht gemacht. Auf meiner Bettdecke waren Flecken und der Schlafraum hat stark nach Desinfektionsmittel gerochen. Aufenthaltsräume sind sehr dreckig, Küche unhygienisch (Ameisen in der Mikrowelle, die nicht funktioniert), der Boden war nass und mit Pappe ausgelegt, die Arbeitsgeräte sind dreckig und in der Dusche waren Kakerlaken. Außerdem hat die Dusche nicht richtig funktioniert und das Wasser ist nur rausgetröpfelt. Die Bilder haben definitiv etwas anderes versprochen.

Great hostel for the price. Walkable to Khao San road, loads of restaurants and shops nearby. Clean dorms and bathrooms although the shower water pressure was terrible. Doors to rooms don’t lock but there are lockers you can use for essentials. Not super social, but ideal if you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep.

This place was by no means clean. My bedding had not been washed from the previous occupant and the bed not made. Positives: The staff is very friendly and helpfully and the location is very close to khao san road. it’s cheap so can’t complain too much

We stayed here for 1 night as a couple in a private room. This was our first night in a hostel before so wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff at this place were lovely and the room itself was nice, a little small, shower was not good at all and the overall place was quite run down. (A lot different to the pictures) For 1 night it was nice to stay here for somewhere to get your head down but I don’t think we’d have stayed any longer Age 24 couple

Really not good at all. We felt unsafe here with nowhere to lock any of your things. The rooms & bathrooms were dirty, I had false eyelashes in my bed. There was absolutely no atmosphere at all with lots of older people staying here. Avoid!!

Honestly great Hostel for the price!! The beds are great, you have curtains and enough space! A small locker for important stuff and the staff is really nice too! Showers are not the best tho, they're in the same room as the toilets. Location is in a good walking distance from Khaosan, close but not too close

Booked a private and they had made an error and double booked. Ended up in a dorm. This place really is only for a quick stay, it's not that nice but at least is cheap.

Super chill ( and cheap ) hostel right near Khao San road, very easy friendly staff who are always up for a chat. Nice wee rooftop bar to hang out and smoke as you watch the sunset! Only complaint was the shower is pretty poor but that’s hostels for you haha! Overall I recommend 🤙

Es ist definitv eines der besten Hostels in Bangkok. Ganz davon abgesehen, dass die Lage top ist und so gut wie alles vorhanden ist (was man als Backpacker braucht) - war ein großes Highlight die Rooftop bar. Du bist in 5 min bei der Khao san road. Direkt gegenüber findest du Reisebüros, wo du Buse nach Koh Phangan, … findest. Es gibt gutes Weed (für wenig Geld). Ausreichend Platz und saubere Duschen und Toiletten.

Overall a good stay. We only stayed for one night, but it was okay. The beds are like rocks, but if you are looking for somewhere to just keep your things, then it’s a good place
