Poor upkeep, smelt musty so there's probably mold, showers drained slowly, poor air circulation so rooms got hot quickly. Not a great time.

Perfect location, next door to the InterCity Bus Stop. However, disappointed with this hostel as had a much nicer experience at Adventure in Taupō. Wifi didn’t reach our room for the entire stay. Tried ventilating our room but lingering smell was difficult. Kitchen to be often dirty but well-stocked, lots of freebies, bins were in dire need of clean. Bathrooms fine but could do with a deep clean too. An okay hostel but not worth the cost that comes with Queenstown.

no atmospher in hostel. People that live there long time take over. good for a 1 night sleep but bad if u wanna meet people

Common area it’s pretty dirty consistently with a weird smell, same for the kitchen. Q2 in Wānaka is much nicer as it’s newer. Beware of doing laundry here as it may damage or stain your clothes

I stayed here after having a wonderful stay in Adventure Hostel Wanaka but unfortunately the experience felt very different. The level of cleanliness was poorer, the bed was not as comfortable, it was smaller, and the atmosphere felt quite weird and much less social. Felt like lots of people are living there long term and working - including a guy that kept having a business meeting in the kitchen early morning loudly. Wouldn't stay here again unfortunately.

there is a strange noise from some part of the aircon but not the aircon itself. Woke me up all through the night. Loud mechanical rattle

I found it ver crowded and dorms very small for so many people. However it was very clean and tidy and convenient.

One of the nastiest hostels I have been to. Bathrooms were disgusting, people did not clean after themselves. Same in the kitchen, it was dirt everywhere and things were not cleaned properly. The communal space was never cleaned during the time I was there, old dishes, crumbs and stains.. Staff didn’t seem to care about the mess everywhere. Sad, as the location is great and beds are comfy.

My very first hostel experience was pretty incredible. The security was great, staff was amazing, the bunks were super comfortable. All other hostels that we have stayed at since had not compared to this one.

One of the better hostel I’ve stayed in New Zealand - the facilities were amazing and had a nice homely feel to it. The staff were amazing and the location was perfect - right in the centre and right next to the bus stop. The beds were comfortable and private with plugs and a light. The showers were always super clean. Great hostel! Even had Mario kart and Netflix

Had the best time here. The staff james, ben, george and hannah have made the stay so good. Been very welcoming and got everyone involved. Great location, and very clean. It’s a bit of a smaller hostel which is nice and makes it sociable. Will be back!

We loved our stay at this hostel, especially since George made us feel very welcome and helped us out with a lot of recommendations in the area!

The staff were lovely and I liked the activities they put on each night. Really friendly atmosphere for solo travellers. Main issues were to do with there not being enough fridge space. The kitchen was tiny, not big enough for the amount of people staying there and pretty dirty. I thought the bathrooms needed cleaning more regularly too.

Very comfy beds I had such a good sleep. The balcony is nice as well.

Auberge assez complete sur ce qu’on cherche dans les auberges genre équipements, activités mais elle est assez étroite, on est vite les uns sur les autres et aussi peu lumineuse !

Loved my stay at Adventure Q2! One of my favorite hostels in NZL so far. Staff was great and very welcoming (shoutout to George and Ben!), nightly activities made it easy to meet other travelers and the vibes were great :) On facilities/ location - I found everything very clean and secure, great location around the corner from supermarket in the middle of the city centre but on a quiet street. Would happily come back and recommend to fellow solo/ social travellers :)

I had a busy schedule in Queenstown, so I didn’t have time to make friends there, but the hostel is really cozy and friendly, it provides all kinds of stuffs in the kitchen, that’s really helpful. The best part is The Location which is next to bus stop!!

Such a great place! What makes this hostel so special is that the staff are so lovely and helpful! I'm so grateful for the few days I got to spend there! Gorge from the staff did such an amazing job! So cool! Thanks again.

Had the best time staying at Q2! The staff are the loveliest people, the facilities are spacious but homey and the beds comfortable and private. Will definitely be back

One of the better hostels I've stayed in. Very friendly staff, liked the beds and bathroom. The girl dorm had a little make-up mirror + table and chair. AC worked perfectly. Would stay here again!

Easy the best/cleanest/safest hostel in Queenstown. The staff are all 10/10’s. Best people in town. Had a pleasant time getting to know Andrew, Lorna, Ben, Tony, Georgia. Always the best time. The free Banana bread from Andrew really seals the deal. :)

Love, love, love! This is a must hostel if you’re in Queenstown! It’s super homey and the staff are amazing - it’s so easy to make friends if you’re up for it, but there’s plenty of chill spaces if you want to hide away. Lots of social activities to get into to if that’s up your street!

Super friendly place to stay, mostly clean facilities although the beds had hair from whoever changed the sheets. Staff were super friendly and had fun at trivia night! Main issue is the beds are super uncomfy, could feel the springs in my back.
