BUFF Hostel Tirana

I repeat DO NOT stay here. We stayed in the private dorm with 3 beds. One bed was infested with BED BUGS!!! I woke up bites all over me and itchy asf. It is months later and I am still trying to get rid of the bed bugs and spent $100s at the laundromat and washing and putting everything in the dryer. Had to bin my suitcase worth $200. You will hate your life.

This hostel didn't feel very clean. Kitchen a little small and stove slow to heat up. My bed wasn't very comfortable (could feel the springs) but some beds seemed to have different mattresses and were more comfy. no AC. Interesting mixture of people while I was staying here

Not working showers. Showers do not have a wall so the whole bathroom is wet. Dirty common areas. Heating plates of the kitchen does not work properly. Beds don’t have a railing so you can fall down easily. All in all this should be not on Hostelworld!

Hostel was too cold because of no heaters. You cant rent a locker, hostel owner trying to sell it

Das Hostel hat definitiv potenzial allerdings sind die Bäder nicht zumutbar. Ständig steht das Bad durch die Dusche, ohne Vorhang o. ä, unter Wasser. An den Betten gibt es keinen rausfall Schutz oben. Generell wurde nicht häufig gereinigt. Keine richtige Rezeption da. Küche auch klein und oft dreckig. Es ist zwar super günstig aber hat deutlichen Verbesserungsbedarf beim Thema Sauberkeit und der generellen Atmosphäre.

I don’t usually do any reviews but I feel like I had to for this one. We’ve been in Albania for 2 weeks and this hostel was our last stop and usually 1 euro is equal to 100 lek but at this hostel, they wanted to charge us more in lek if we didn’t have the euro even though It’s almost pair, the price was 24 euros but they wanted to charge us almost 2900 lek. They invented their exchange rate. The staff said is an order from the owner. This practice is shady and I do not recommend this hos...

Not happy with this one. I was searching for a double bed private room (this means one bed so not two separate ones that is called a twin). BUFF had some nice pictures of two rooms with a double bed and when I booked you could choose between twin or double so I chose double. When I got there they gave me a twin so I said I booked a double, the volunteer then said they DON'T HAVE DOUBLES. This I find very misleading, don't put pictures of rooms that you don't have. Facilties were OK 👍

Buena opción para Una corta estadía en Tirana, el personal muy agradable, el hostal se encuentra muy cerca al centro lo cual hace que puedas moverte fácilmente, corresponde a calidad / precio. La habitación asignada limpia y cómoda !

Très chouette auberge, ambiance très agréable grâce au personnel principalement !

Nice place to stay! Check in process and location are a bit unclear but after that was very pleasant.

Stayed one night in the hostel with 3 others in my group. We were in a separate building from the main one so differed from the photos. Moldy toilet paper, missing toilet seat, no hangars or hooks in downstairs WC. Bed was not comfortable to us, but it was nice to have our own room. Maybe the main building is better.

The hostel is great, the beds are comfortable, functional bathrooms and a good kitchen. Apart from the team that is wonderful. Besides the price! I highly recommend it!

Argentinian family had a very clean space, stuff was there supporting for everything, good location, I’ll be back there

Really great hostel right in the heart of the city. Pretty easy to get to on foot from the main bus terminal, and centrally located enough that you can reach every major point of the city centre in like 20 minutes. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and it was a pleasant surprise to have so many Spanish speakers on staff. I was there in the off-season, so there weren't many other visitors and it was pretty relaxed and quiet

Sehr gut gelegenes Hostel: klein, nett und gemütlich. Sowohl Innen als auch Außen. Die Betten sind robust und gemütlich; mit Licht und Steckdose ausgestattet.

Good location, and helpful staff. The rooms are pretty average though, and can be loud as it backs into the street. Also i wish the shower heads were not broken/better shower facilities. Everything else is good.

Good value for the price. There were never any staff around when we had questions and the stovetop in the kitchen was broken which was not mentioned to us upon checkin.

Well located hostel that was pretty much perfect for my one night stay

Stayed one night in a private room. A bit tricky to find without signage, but check-in was smooth—bring cash. Room was comfy with two single beds, great air con, and a decent shared bathroom. however, two people accidentally tried to enter our room—once when our door was unlocked and someone walked in asking for reception, and once late at night when someone shook the door for a while. Likely just confusion, but it was a bit unsettling.

Better hostels in the area if looking for more of an atmosphere but good budget option. Shower was full of hair at the time I used it, however this is dependent on when it was last cleaned.
