   Despite the review, I actually liked the place. I've stayed here twice. The first time I had no incidents, and found the place clean. This 2nd time I stayed convinced me to not come back. * The staff were sparse, but my interactions with them were friendly. They really did seem to care about the place, but the clientele and neighborhood make their job tough. * The individual beds did have curtains and power plugs inside each one, which was convenient. * Shower was clean, and towels were provided. * Kitchen sink was super clogged and unusable during my stay, and completely filled to the brim. The first night there was also no dish soap (it did appear on later nights). * No utensils or dishware in the kitchen. * Bathroom ran out of toilet paper, without replacement available in the bathroom. I happened to find staff nearby when I had to urgently go, who had to go to the garage to retrieve toilet paper, but had I had the need before noontime, I would've been screwed. * Shower had soap and shampoo dispensers, but they were empty my entire stay. * Some guy was sleeping at the dining room table overnight multiple nights. To be fair, I also saw the staff telling him the 2nd night that he had to book a room or leave, but it was tolerated for at least 1 night. * Random people were able to enter my room through the sliding glass door, bypassing the keypad lock on the room door. * My car's catalytic converter was stolen when parked on the street immediately in front of the hostel, overnight on the first night I stayed there (Christmas Eve of all nights). I can't blame the owners for this, but I feel people should be aware. (Multiple catalytic converters were stolen from cars on the block that night.) Neighbors and hostel workers told me after the theft that this is apparently semi-common, and "this is the season" for that. * Security cameras looked like they were posted throughout the property, including one pointing out front, but when I asked for footage for the catalytic converter theft, they told me that the camera subscription hadn't been paid for by the owner for 3+ months, and that they only had a live feed without the ability to go back in the recording.

   First time I stayed at Normandie months ago it was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Mostly respectful guests. Now there are some unsavory people there who steal, threaten others, fight, don't clean up. A few really loud guys just sit in front of the back units & smoke weed, incl. the young guy working there (no smoking allowed). A guest had her package & other items stolen. Management doesn't effectively handle issues that come up. Electric lockers don't even work anymore.

   Nothing! When we first arrived at the hostel, the bed was dirty, the walls had marks all over them, the bath was filthy, the door to the wardrobe was broken, when we sure there was a mini fridge we were happy finally something good! but then we looked inside and I wish I never did, it was awful!! I contacted the property but they just apologised and never came to do anything about it ! You only get given one toilet roll, and we had to contact them several times till they finally left some outside the room, there are no staff on site. The place felt so unsafe, especially for women! There was one night our door started moving! Someone was trying to get in ! The location as a whole felt unsafe, in the evenings we would come home, or just walk out of the door for a minute whilst we waited for our pizza, and there were people outside the doors that made us feel uncomfortable, saying odd things, asking for our food, telling us to eat each other so they could eat the food, the rooms definitely need more security because them door are very unsecured! Please don’t stay here, we had to leave a day early as we couldn’t spend another night feeling how we felt !!

   I'm a property Manager as well as business owner;and Don't Appreciate Racist Lies about My Character. I will be suing for the Racism and public defemation of Character! I'm disabled. I cant run. How would I run up and down stairs after being woken up out of my sleep? I was so tired I could barely speak. I would never tolerate this behavior on my property or lie on a guest. Unprofessional Liars! The host was racist and allowed a traveler from another country to come to my pod at midnight super drink yelling and screaming and calling me a bitch and a stupid bitch while being extremely agressive and making me feel unsafe because I had my pod light on with my curtain closed which is permitted 24/7 so that I could work through the night. That why I rented the pod. I was completely sober. That man had been doing nothing but drinking beer all day and night. When I reached out for help because I felt unsafe he never responded. I booked a room in the all female dorm the following day. He never switched me or accomidated my reservation. He instead woke me up out of my sleep with a concussion at 11:00 pm after not switching me to the room that I paid for to feel safe in and to be able to work from. He told me that he put me in the wrong bunk over 12 hours ago and even though I was unconscious,had already paid for the space,and that it was almost midnight, if I didn't get out of the bed that I paid to sleep in and give it up for a white man to sleep in who just arrived because he wanted the bed that I already paid for that they would be calling LAPD on me to remove me from the property,and that they wouldn't take any more reservations from me because I wasn't willing to wake up with a brain injury at midnight and move to a new room instead of staying in a bed that I paid for and had 🐝 sleeping in all day because he didn't do his job and move me to the women's room at noon which is check out and room change hours. Extremely Unprofessional! Undeniably racist. The host made false alligations saying that I was telling abd screaming while running up and down the stairs when I left the room to ask for clarification of the situation. I just woke up so I could barely stand. My voice was so horse that I could barely speak. Definitely couldn't scream .

   This place sucks. The pictures are not even close of what you will see once you arrive. The towels, sheets are dirty and super old. When you check in no one helps you. I didn't have a locker and access code for 2 days, I tried to reach the manager and never got a response. Another guest was giving me access in order to sleep. My luggage was out and I had no other choice but to trust no one was going to steal my belongings. When he finally showed, he yelled at me saying that he was out of town

   The sheets smell damp and are not clean, and the staff will take your clothes. Also, the room password and locker number are very easy to find, so anyone can enter and steal your things. The Wi-Fi is terrible and doesn't connect at all. Be careful, there are racists in the room. The location is also terrible.

   NOTHING DO NOT STAY HERE. I was booked in a female only dorm and they accidentally gave the code to our room to a man who then smoked weed in our bathroom! Scared me and my room mates to death. They refused any sort of refund. Rooms also had dog hair and were not the cleanest. Parking is non existent I had to park a good block away. Backyard is not blocked off, anyone off the street can walk around the property.

   I have slept in some rotten places, but this hostel tops it. If you read this review and still choose to stay at this hostel, you will definitely have regrets. The beds were filthy, hair on the bed (a lot), and a lot of unidentifiable mess beside the mattress on all sides. Bed sheets and blankets were sticky. Communal spaces (kitchen and bathroom) were nice and clean and tidy. I arrived late at night and was given the wrong code, so couldn’t get in to the building. No security at all.
