Chiostro delle Monache

very nice hostel because it‘s an old monastery, volterra also very nice and typical italy (atmosphere, so many good restaurants with typical italien food) neg point: next door, there is a water pump installed that sound very loud (through the wall) so i can‘t slept in very well and got up very early because of the sound :/ hopefully they managed to reduce the sound uf the pump (problem is known)

Such a lovely spot with really friendly, welcoming staff. It’s definitely more a hotel than a traditional hostel, which makes for a really comfortable and relaxing stay. However, it’s a bit lighter on typical hostel facilities. There is a lovely restaurant though! The town itself is so charming, so it’s great to have a place like this here.

Ostello molto pulito e accogliente. Posizione a 15 minuti dal centro storico. A pochi passi c'è anche un piccolo bar che consiglio. Letto comodo e bagno in camera. Chiostro delle Monache super consigliato!! A presto!

struttura comoda con una buona accoglienza, per quanto riguarda la cucina nulla di straordinario. Colazione ok.

Very beautiful place, located in a peculiar site. Everything was good, even though me and my friend didn’t find the atmosphere which most of the times characterises hostels. There is no kitchen and this can be uncomfortable at times. Anyway the staff was welcoming and the space clean.

I would recommend having an evening meal - it was lovely. The courtyard setting was very nice and quiet, and the food and service was excellent. The staff were very helpful with information, and especially when my wife hurt her foot. The standard room was very clean but a bit bare - a nice picture would help. The breakfast was OK. We enjoyed our stay, except for the paper plates at breakfast - not good! Pay for a better standard of room if you can.

Very sympa hostel! Nice facilities and by a nice not long walk you reach the stairs towards the historical city center! Stayed only 1 night, but would do that again, really liked the place!

Die Unterkunft war für eine Nacht ausreichend. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Fußläufig musste man etwas mehr nach Volterra rein gehen. Aber sonst alles sauber und für den Preis super.

Very nice but really quiet hotel with a room serving as hostel. Super clean. Walkable to the town and also served by a bus. Minimarket kind of close by. Staff is attentive and helpful but they cater towards hotel style guests not exactly backpackers. Enjoyed my stay and would def stay again. Much less hot than the rest of Italy during summer but traffic makes it unwise to sleep with the windows open. AC works well and its not too noisy. Nice room and bathroom. Add a kitchen and its golden.

Beautiful building. Everything is in great condition and staff were very helpful. About a 20 walk into town - a gorgeous walk!

Location molto suggestiva, degna di una città medievale come Volterra. Lo staff è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Per quanto riguarda la pulizia, sia letto, che stanza, che bagno impeccabili!

Really clean hostel with daily cleaning. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the place was very beautiful. However, there was not much to do in the hostel.

The hostel was absolutely amazing. I was the only one in the shared room when I stayed, so there wasn't a lot of opportunities to meet people, but the room was comfortable and cosy. The staff was super nice, and I waswas allowed to use the freezer to put an ice pack is for a medical issue, and even given a crcroissant free of charge (it was delicious). If I have to nitpick, I guess the wifi signal didn't really reach the room, which was annoying, but probably a blessing in disguise.

this is the best hostel I've stayed all my life. everything was perfect. the bed is super confortable, the bathroom was sparkling clean and the staff is awesome! Andrea is such a gentleman! Volterra is a great city, and staying here has made my trip even more spetacular!

Too far away from town!! They say a kilometer. More like 3 and all uphill! I guess if you have car? They had a restaurant but pricey for a hostel. No amenities in the bathroom. No bunk beds which was nice. Large room. Good breakfast. Volterra is fun walking town.

Posto molto confortevole, sicuro, in una buona posizione. La camera era molto pulita e il personale è stato veramente gentile. Colazione compresa nel prezzo ricca e varia. Il ristorante dell'hotel è super, i piatti che abbiamo preso erano molto buoni e c'è una bella scelta. Consigliato!
