Tam Coc Riverside Homestay

La habitación era muy pequeña para 8 personas, hacía calor, olía fuerte y no había lockers, todo estaba en el suelo. El desayuno bien y el baño limpio.Alquilé una moto tres días, pero estaba en mal estado. Hacía ruidos de explosión al acelerar y el cilindro de encendido, roto y oxidado, se salió mientras la usaba. Me asusté mucho. Al devolverla, intentaron culparme y hacerme pagar, pero me negué. Otra chica también reclamaba por el mal estado de su moto.

Wij hebben totaal geen hoge standaarden maar de kamer was erg vies. Vooral de badkamer ook de bedden waren ontzettend hard. We zouden gratis ontbijt moeten krijgen maar hebben er toch voor moeten betalen… De mensen waren erg aardig maar wel erg op het geld gericht. We hadden er veel meer van verwacht.

The room was small, there werent enough space for the bags, no locker, no key and it have an awful humidity smell. The only person who speaks english is the son, so when he’s out you cannot communicate at all, not even using google translator. He sold me a bus and lied that it would pick me up in the hotel, in fact we had to walk 5 minutes in the rain with our bags. He never explained that we would have to take 2 buses and 1 van, and instead of taking the 14 promise hours, it would took us 16h...

I would like to say the people are lovely! The place is in a good location to rent a moped and they have a great breakfast. Unfortunately this was the most unclean property I have stayed in after 3 months backpacking. There were eggs on our curtin that hatched into beetles and it made me feel a bit sick to be honest! The room was damp, which wasn’t helped by the massive storm, but it doesn’t have a proper structure. The room looks unfinished like they are still building it.

This is one of the worse hostels I have stayed in. The rooms were old, anything but clean and very humid. The bathrooms were not clean, nor were the beds. We were crammed in this one tiny room with four - very old and squeeky - bunk beds. The ones on top did not have a curtain. There was this one fan that tried to improve the situation but failed tremendously - it was just blowing the humid, smelly air further into the room. We changed hostels after one night.

My private room was not clean and reeked moldy. There was even a used toothbrush left next to my bed. Most of the time the owners were nice but they were also pushy about the check out time. They reminded me in the morning about it and 15 minutes before check out time even knocked on my door to tell me about it again. Can’t recommend.

I had a good time

Very basic homestay, the rooms were very small and damp the walls were wet so be aware of that. Lots of mosquito's, The guy who works there is so lovely and helpful. But wouldn't recommend staying there. Showers were hot and ok

Not comfortable or clean at all. Still hair left on the bed from the previous person and looked like there was fungus on the walls and in the bed. Smelled like pee in the room and toilets have absolutely not been clean for a long time. The staff though was helpful and nice, but the facilities made me feel unsafe. Big chance of bedbugs I would say. Feel sorry for the bad rating, but wish someone had given me a heads up before booking.

Spend an extra dollar or two for a significantly cleaner and more modern hostel. The staff were great! The room was bare bones with rock hard sleeping mats, rusty, squeaky beds, and a shower that never felt clean.

Hostel proche de Tam Coc mais un peu à l’écart, parfais pour être au calme. Matelas un peu dur mais pour le prix c’est ok

Parfait ! J’ai prit une chambre privée, le lit était très confortable. L’homestay est tenue par une famille, tous très gentils ! Je recommande

Really nice place excpecially for that price. The family was very helpful and loveful. The motorbyke here are super! I surely suggest it!

La famille était adorable et toujours souriante, je me sentais à la maison, l'hostel est situé dans un endroit calme, c'est seulement à 3 minutes à pieds du centre !

Lovely family-run hostel. Truly welcoming and so willing to help with anything you need. Shout out to Nam for his attentiveness and awesome energy.

Mr Nam and his family are very hospitable. Spent the Tet there. The place is definitely recommended.

The husband and wife were AMAZING. So kind and warm. My laundry was done there, which was handwashed, they even washed my trainers for me. Very quiet stay and some good needed rest. They let me checkout later as I wasn’t feeling good, and the lady gave me a bottle of water for my journey to the airport🥹 food was amazing there too. The older lady (maybe family?) seemed a bit less warm, but that might have been a language thing. There were also ants in the toilet, but no biggie given the loca...

absolutely lovely owners, super kind, helped recommend activities and book bus, even personally drove us to bus station (right around the corner) and helped us onto the right bus!! super short walk to town centre and can hire bicycles and motorbikes to explore further for very good price. choice of free breakfasts and coffee/tea, delicious! also offer other yummy food and drinks. towels included, three bathrooms, basic dorms, including lockers & curtains. Quiet, chill vibe but 100% recommend

Fantastic Homestay! Really relaxing. Nam and his family couldn’t have done more to make my stay great. Probably my favourite place I’ve stayed yet. Highly recommend if you want a relaxing, family run place!

The rooms were lovely! The family couldn’t have been more helpful, especially Hung who kept us up to date with the weather forecast / potential flooding for our onward location. We enjoyed a family dinner which was delicious and they sent us off with a lovely breakfast upon check out! The only negative I would note was the scooters they rent out weren’t great - the steering wasn’t aligned, split in tyres etc. We had a great stay overall so would definitely recommend.

I loved everything about this place! I felt so welcomed and taken care off! And baby Tai was a perfect addition to the cuteness of this place! Highly recommend!

The family are so so lovely. They let us check in early at 6.30am after our sleeper bus! Helped us with any information we needed and even got a few bugs out of our room for us. Can’t fault the service at all! The accommodation is quite basic but you get what you pay for and it’s very reasonably priced for a private room. Great location and close to all the main spots.

Amazing hostel, owner was so friendly and helpful, he upgraded our room, helped us booking transport, always made sure we had water. Everywhere was super clean and it’s in a lovely peaceful spot but still near the centre!

Faultless. Checked me in at 3:30am when my night bus dropped me off. Really decent breakfast included and decent prices for scooter and bicycle hire. Lovely family run place with a lot of knowledge of the area
