Freebirds hostel

Worst hostel I have ever stayed at. There is a curfew that the host is very strict about. There is also no air conditioning although it is advertised. I had a shower one night and he banged on the door and told me I’m not welcome?! After checking out, I got a notification that my booking had been “cancelled as requested” so I could not leave a review. I had to contact customer support to leave this review. That’s why it’s so highly rated. Don’t stay here. Warned ya!!

good location and good facilities front door lock was a bit dodgy so sometimes it wouldnt be completely closed basically empty when i was there which was kinda nice

I came during low season which explains why it was a ghost town. The owner is really friendly and it's really close to the beach, if you like surfing it's perfect, if you don't like to surf Tamraght in general isn't great. The hostel is very rough around the edges, freezing cold shower, but lack of bunk beds is nice, and there's a rooftop. It really wasn't somewhere I would come to again or recommend, but it's not horrible either.

A nice hostel, clean, comfy beds etc. shame about the rude, aggressive Mehdi, manager is unhingrd. Offers fake hospitality amd then rude for no reason.he aggressively accusied me of stealing a towel, which I showed him in the laundry, I said stop being so rude. And he starts being more aggressive accusing me of leaving the room dirty and it smelling. I stayed for 3 nights, it didn’t smell and I didn’t leave the room dirty, I was out most of the time. Property was good the host was a very welcoming and friendly host and the free breakfast was great. Only thing was the AC in the room was a bit loud

Hostel owner reacted very aggressive towards one invited guest on the rooftop terrace. I understand that it might not be welcomed to bring someone along, but it has to be communicated in advance/ a normal tone.

Nice decorated room and delicious breakfast. Hostel just moved and has space for improvement. All old reviews are from the old location. Hard to find because there is no sign on the door.

Ich hatte eine richtig schöne Zeit in dem Hostel! Der Besitzer ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hostel organisiert auch Aktivitäten wie zum Beispiel Surfunterricht mit einem top Surflehrer und das Meer ist auch nur ein paar Minuten vom Hostel entfernt. Auf der eigenen Dachterasse kann man gut entspannen und mit anderen zusammensitzen. Allgemein lernt man dort schnell neue Leute kennen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und sogar inklusive. Ich komme gern wieder und empfehle es echt weiter :)

Freebirds Hostel made our two days on the coast really special. The hostel provided great value for money, and the vibe was wonderful. My friend surfed and the rest of us sunbathed, and the location was great. The roof terrace was a lovely place to watch the sunset, and the beds were comfortable. The showers were powerful and everything was clean. The cafe below was great, and our breakfasts were delicious. I would return and recommend the hostel to anyone who likes balancing a laid back atmosph...

We had the best time in the Freebird Hostel! There were a lot of trips planned by the hostel crew so it was really easy to connect and to meet people😊 Maurice, who took us on most of the trips, was so nice and took great pictures of us! Mehdi, our surfcoach, was also really nice and funny! The Owner is also so chilled and nice and it wasn’t a problem to check in late and to extend the stay🥰 The breakfast is also so nice, even when we had to leave the hostel, we came back for the breakfas...

It’s a lovely hostel close by the beach. I had a wonderful time there - the people are nice and the breakfast is amazing!!! They arranged as well the pick up from the airport to the hostel. I would always come back.

Mega nettes Hostel, super liebes Personal und schöne Einrichtung, tolle Dachterrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Kurzer Weg zum Strand und leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen im Surf Package mit drin!

Mega Dachterrasse und immer eine tolle Stimmung! Hatten tolle Ausflüge mit den Leuten vom Hostel unternommen. Man fühlte sich wie ein Teil von Mehdis Familie und wurde herzlich aufgenommen!

Fantastic Hostel and the host was really great. No complaints at all.

Super chilled hostel, the cafe downstairs is a nice place to hang out and free breakfast is a massive bonus. About a 5 min walk to the beach plus the owner is always happy to help with taxis to get around.

Everything you need and want including a banging berberine breakfast in the price.Right over the roadfrom the beach, no hill walking! Mehdi is the nicest person you could meet.Good beds, very clean.The upstairs deck/ area is super nice.Music evenings and barbecues . Caffè downstairs belonging to free birds. . .had the best time!Going back again asap.

I stayed 4 days in ladies 4 beds room, comfortable bed and clean room. I was without a locer, a bit sad. The rooftop was favourite, a good wiev. The hostel is clean with lovely decoration and location close to the beach.

I can’t recommend freebirds hostel enough. The location was perfect, so close to the beach and the town. Beautiful rooftop. I shared a 4 bed female dorm which was comfortable and clean. Mehdi and everyone who works at Freebirds are so welcoming, helpful and willing to share their local culture with you. The breakfast at the cafe downstairs (also run by the same Freebirds team), was delicious. Surf rental and excursions were able to be easily arranged. Thank you so much, I can’t wait to come ...
