Taco Shack Diving Hostel & Restaurant

Horrible experience with the dive school, staff was rude and would not recommend it to anyone. The instructor and the manager are extremely rude and are very discouraging. The rooms weren’t any better either, bed bugs were found in my dorm, the ac in the private rooms did not work properly.

Wir wurden von Bettwanzen gebissen, die Klimaanlage ließ sich nicht unter 24° einstellen und der Boiler der Dusche war unzuverlässig. Am meisten hat uns jedoch die Unflexibilität beim Checkout gestört: Da wir vormittags tauchen waren, konnten wir die Schlüssel nicht zwischen 8/11 Uhr abgeben. Eine einfache Lösung wurde uns verweigert, ob wohl das Zimmer nachweislich frei war und es lediglich um die Schlüsselübergabe ging. Stattdessen wurde verlangt das wir unnötig verlängern. -sehr unkooperativ

I stayed at this hostel for three nights. On my last night, I woke up with my arms and neck covered in bed bug bites! I had already checked out, and the bites started appearing throughout the day. I went back to the front desk the next day to ask for compensation since I now have to wash all my clothes and buy cream for the itching… and they did nothing. The place itself was nice, but double check your bed before settling in!

It’s a nice place with a pool table and a fussball table. The food and drinks are quite expensive but the quesadillas are worth the try😁 Also a very nice upstairs terrace. Downsides for me were that room service comes in at 10:30 smacks the lights on, leaves the door open and was constantly going around the room changing the location of my stuff. Even one time they’ve opened my toiletry bag and put everything spread out on the bed. They seemed very annoyed always and were very loud, also possibly had bed bugs.

Good stay until we found adult and baby BED BUGS in our room. We found over 10 on our bed curtains and there were some running across the bed too. Staff told us it was too late to change beds because reception was closed. They didn’t even offer to change the bed sheets until I explicitly asked. We had to sleep there as we had no choice. They only refunded us for 2/4 nights, and didn’t pay for our laundry to wash our belongings. See the review by Izzy C on trip advisor for more details and photos
