Cozy Nest Kandy Villa

I am very confused as to why this hostel has good reviews. Where do I even start- first of all it is in a pretty remote location with nothing near it. The reception of the hostel feels like a care home it has no atmosphere is not social at all, the breakfast was gross and the guy on the reception desk barely spoke english. The room i was given had a external door which was left unlocked at all times- a random man opened the door at 8am and guests checked in when i was trying to sleep at 10.30pm

Das Hostel ist nur provisorisch eingerichtet und relativ schmutzig. Es kommt keine Hostelatmosphäre auf, denn es fehlt die Einrichtung dafür (Lounge, Bar...) und das Engagement der Mitarbeiter dafür. Das Abendessen und Frühstück sind sehr schlicht und nicht ausreichend. Für eine billige Unterkunft zum Schlafen okay, mehr aber auch nicht.

good for a short stay, located not too far from the center (20min walk by the lake) in a quiet area. the meals were very western, shouldn't necessarily be a reason to choose this hostel. the beds are a bit oddly arranged, there's barely any privacy.

Mitarbeiter war hilfreich auf Nachfrage, nicht wirklich proaktiv. Im Zimmer gab es keine Möglichkeit etwas aufzuhängen nur ein kleines Fach für die Ablage. Das Badezimmer wurde nicht gereinigt zwwichen uns und den vorherigen Gästen. Es lagen noch überall Haare rum.

El trato era muy bueno y la relación calidad-precio también, pero creo que un 9 de puntuación no está justificado. La limpieza no era la mejor y estaba un poco alejado de las principales atracciones turísticas, aunque podías llegar caminando.

Stayed here for 2 nights. I don’t write reviews. But this I have too Trying to sleep and some dude walking around in the attic making loud noises at 4- 5 o’clock in the morning and didn’t stop. No respect for people who pay to sleep. Good hostel, just thought abit rude

Free Breakfast and Dinner is very good! You can book a TukTuk tour to see the whole city in one day.

Pros: 1. Near to lake 2. Breakfast and dinner included 3. city tour/cabs facility Cons: 1. Food was ok 2. High cost 3. Vibe was ok.

This hostel was incredible + good value. 3 girls travelling together and booked the 3-bed dorm with 3 single beds (they are very close together so may not be ideal if you’re travelling solo). Big ensuite with amazing shower. Dinner and breakfast included and was delicious. The owner was LOVELY. It’s a quiet place and about a 15 min walk from the really busy main part of town but we really liked that, it was super quiet. Not very social but we wanted somewhere quiet to rest between travel day...

Clean, super nice host, but no atmosphere or good chill spaces. And it's not actually on the lake

Great hostel, lovely to have single beds rather than bunks, and hot water!!! Brilliant location by the pretty end of the lake. A little quiet, only because I think everyone was out in the city to celebrate the festival while I was there

A good place to stay in kandy!

It was perfect for my stay. It is 20 min walk away from the city, so it is quiet and not rushed. You get breakfast and dinner included, it is nothing special but fills the tummy. The host also watched some stuff from me for free for 5 days because i was hiking and could not take everything with me.

Super établissement avec petit déjeuner et dîner ! Un tuktuk tour proposer par l’hostel permet de visiter les lieux emblématiques de kandy. Je recommande cet hostel.

A nice location by the lake, the free dinner and breakfast is great value. Met some nice people here but the vibe is a little different to other hostels

Super sauberes, Hotel-ähnliches Hostel mit nettem Host & schönen Zimmern. Die Bäder waren super sauber, die Betten extrem gemütlich, die AC hat einwandfrei funktioniert & vor allem gab es Frühstück & Abendessen umsonst. Insbesondere das Kotzu war köstlich! Sehr sehr empfehlenswert!

Great value, good location - an easy walk to town round the nice lake. Good breakfast and dinner. Chill atmosphere.
