I did not like this hostel, It might be that I just got unlucky, but the hostel was empty, no social vibe whatsoever. The guy at reception did not even look at us, even when we said hello, he continued texting like we were not there. They also did not allow me to leave my stuff there while I was waiting for my nightbus, I had to pay for it. Worst of all, I believe I got bitten by bedbugs there.. The beds did not feel clean. So, whereas a lot of people had a great experience, my wasn’t so great.

We saw the manager screaming with the staff in front of us. The shower was so weak that we couldn’t shower. Our toilet flush wasn’t working. the only friend we made in the hostel couldn’t sleep in his room because of bedbugs and we saw them moving the mattress to another room, which gave me the impression that this happens often. There’s no community, no activities and no interest to connect the people in the hostel. There’s a bar but it seemed that it’s there for staff and his friends

DO NOT STAY HERE, this hostel is infested with bedbugs. The roof is leaking water and many of the basic facilities like toilets and faucets are broken. Read the reviews for this hostel very carefully-- I really wish I did before booking here. Edited: To any guests considering staying here, please search the Google reviews for "bed bugs" and check the Hostelworld reviews as well. You'll see that there are multiple guests who have mentioned bed bugs or being bitten in the night in their reviews.

this hostel is infested with bedbugs and the facilities are unsafe. The roof is leaking and the locks on doors and bathrooms do not work. Some of the bathroom doors do not close and the private room I stayed at had a window directly into a common area and a curtain that allowed other guests to see directly into the room. Most of the furniture is broken. There are strange people in the hostel who do not appear to be guests. Please carefully read other recent reviews about this hostel before booking, I really wish I did. This is the worst hostel I ever stayed at, and I don't think I'll stay at any hostel in the future after this experience.

El hostal y la ubicación genial, y los recepcionistas un encanto, pero desafortunadamente he tenido muy mala experiencia. Me han devorado las chinches de la cama, y a pesar de facilitar ayuda (cambio de habitación y lavar todas mis cosas) tuve que pagar mi alojamiento casi completo y actualmente me encuentro con el cuerpo cubierto de picadas. Espero que le pongan solución pronto. A pesar de esto el hostal es bonito y tranquilo con bastante buen ambiente.

Not a good vibe. Guests complaining of bed bugs. Sheets don’t feel clean. 4-bed dorm is a closet sized space. No choice to shower but boiling hot water. The whole place needs a deep cleaning and the staff was not friendly. Choose somewhere else.

I want to leave a good review but I can’t do that in good faith. There is no respect or encouragement for quiet in the dorms at any hour of the day or night. The facilities are never stocked - toilet paper, etc. they fumigated for bed bugs without any warning to evacuate . Woke up to go to the bathroom and walked through a cloud of chemicals. Been coughing for the last 5 hours. It’s cheap and the pool is nice, I’ll give it that. But I wouldn’t recommend staying for more than a couple days.

I unknowingly slept in a bed with a bedbug infestation for four days and got horrendously bitten until a girl saw one on a curtain my last morning there. I was refunded a portion of my stay, though they suggested I had brought the bedbugs. I did not; it affected multiple beds and had caused others to leave the day we noticed. This experience was awful, but I don’t want to s**t on every part of the hostel. Amenities were fine. Bathrooms were okay but had a lot of outdoor bugs and spiders around.

Nice location close to the old town, not really great social vibe, had bed bugs, they give out extra blankets which don’t seem to be washed regularly. Cheap but not the coziest stay.

I didt felt so good there. The stuff can just speak Spanisch. And I get bed bugs. Not so bad just on one arm. I think with the right people can it be nice…but when I was there not really.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS PLACE! This hostel has been the worst experience in hostels i’ve had. the place is dirty, the mattresses are stained and riddled with bedbugs, the showers smell like something died in it and downstairs people are going on wild “meditation” trips. the staff are rude. their response to us leaving in the middle of the night was: “perfecto”… to get our money back we would have had to write a good review on hostelworld and google. to sum up: they buy their good reviews and the place is a dump.

THIS IS WHAT I WROTE TO THE MANAGER: We booked a 4-bed-dorm from the 7th-9th of august through Hostelworld. When we arrived at 12pm on the 7th there was no space for us to put the luggage in a safe storage. Later when we came back to check in the staff ignored us and they didn’t explain any of the communal spaces or amenities. The door of our dorm didn’t even have a key, felt very unsafe to leave our belongings there. We got approached by several men trying to sell us jewelry and stickers. We felt that there were people taking drugs and that made us feel very unsafe, especially as there were signs everywhere saying that we couldn’t even bring alcohol to the hostel. We came back to the hostel in the evening and wanted to shower. The shower was unspeakable, it smelled horrible and was dirty, also couldn’t lock the shower door!!! This was the first time that we really looked at our beds. What we encountered was terrible. There was a huge stain on one of the mattresses, another bed didn’t even have covers and we got claustrophobic in there. No working power sockets in the walls to charge our phones… We decided to look at your reviews again and found out about some bed bugs traveling around your hostel recently. That was the final straw and we decided we couldn’t stay here any longer. As we left your staff asked us why and as we explained our reason for leaving his only answer was „perfecto“ Today we came back to cancel our second night and we had planned to tell your employees about our experience but on the end I don’t think it’s their fault which is why we are letting you know personally. We first got told that there was no way to get any of the money back. Then we found out that if we left a 5-star review on google maps we could get half of the money of 1 night back (400 pesos). We were so devastated that we decided to go through with it. I posted a 5-star review but then you told your employee that all 4 of us had to post a 5-star review in order to get the 400 pesos!! We did it, got the money and left as soon as we could. It’s beyond unbelievable what you are doing. all the good reviews on the web are bought and false, we later even read some reviews saying that this also happened to them so we know that we’re not the first ones this has happened to. We feel cheated on and this behavior is disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourself. We have now decided that we do not support this behavior and took down our good reviews. We still want a full refund, and we really feel like posting an honest review about our experience. Nothing exaggerated but the honest truth. We’re also really thinking about contacting Hostelworld and letting them know about your behavior, safety problems and scam. have a good evening. NEVER GOT AN ANSWER

We caught BEDBUGS here. The receptionist tried to tell us it was a rash instead. Don’t believe any reviews on here as the receptionists ask guests to leave good reviews to get cheaper rates for the rooms. Completely unsocial and overall no vibe. Pillows are just a piece of foam. You can feel all the springs in the mattress, and the sheet was the same material as a tea towel and smelt like it hadn't been washed with any detergent. Bathrooms don’t seem to be cleaned very often.
