Really enjoyed this hostel had no problems other than I did leave with bed bug bites

beware of bed bugs!!!! found a large one crawling up our wall next to my bed earlier today. thankfully reception was understanding and said they would either switch our rooms or give us a refund (if we emailed their manager, so haven’t received one yet), but we changed hostels immediately.

There were bed bugs in my room (private room) but I realized it only in the morning, too late to change my room as I checked out the same morning. I informed the reception so hopefully they got someone to disinfest the room. They offered me a free breakfast that morning - at least they could have offered to reimburse 1 night.

Staff were super friendly, facilities were good but came away with really awful bed bug bites (private room 8). Contacted them to let them know & they said they will sort it though but had to put it in my review!

Saw bedbugs so left immediately. They did refund us the booking price but not the city tax for some reason. That was kinda weird given that we left within half an hour of checkin.

Very good and value delivered! They are managing everything including the bedbugs quite well. I only saw two on walls but never saw one in my bed or got bitten after staying for more than a week.

There are BED BUGS!!! I stayed for 3 nights and after the 2nd night I woke up covered in bed bug bites (room 1). I immediately told the staff but they said they solved the problem back in October but obviously didnt clean properly. Apart from that the bathrooms are pretty run down but the location is good. Would choose another hostel next time

Bed bugs friendly... When I arrived in this hostel on 22nd October, I asked the woman at the front desk if there were bed bugs in the bedrooms as I had just read recent reviews mentioning them. She answered there weren't any. 5 days later : I have been bitten at least fifteen times and those bites do look like bed bugs bites. The more I had, the less I slept. I just came back home, spent the whole evening washing all my stuff, threw out my suitcase, my backpack, my jacket...for fear of having some of them inside. What was supposed to be a vacation in Lisbon has been a nightmare. The woman who welcomed me was really nice to me, maybe she wasn't aware of the problem. This question is for the people owning this hostel : honestly, how can you let people sleep in those beds ? How many Google reviews complaining about it do you need to do something ? I was in room 12, bed n°5. So... unless you want to become the favorite fast food of a bed bugs family, don't go there.

Believe the reviews- they have bed bugs. First night, I found a blood stained pillow on my “clean” bed. Second night, my friends met me and checked into the hostel, but it was too late. I have over 50 bites all over my body. It’s horrific. We talked to the staff and they got us a new room. On top of everything, one of my friends locker was broken upon arrival. Stayed from October 25-29th. Never again. Book elsewhere.

Before arriving, I read some reviews saying there were bed bugs, so I asked them if it was true when I arrived and they said "no". I spent 5 nights there and have been bitten at least 30 times and it's itchy as hell. Don't go there.

Bed bugs... I stayed there 1 night on October 11th. I woke up finding a bed bug crawling on the wall and I was bitten over 20 times so most likely had a bunch of friends... My boyfriend was staying in the bed above me and was bitten around the same amount of times. I regret not having checked the reviews in depth since there have been many comments about this problem in the past weeks, months and even years. This hostel clearly does not take the problem seriously.

BEWARE THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS!! The female staff is rude and your food gets stolen even if your names on it.

L'accueil pour le check-in était chaotique. Et surtout le réveil était dramatique. Une punaise de lit se promenait sur le mur a côté de mon lit. Faîtes attention avant de prendre possession de votre lit.

All the staffs were very nice, specially the Brazilian girl from the reception. unfortunately I left with at least 40 bites of bedbugs. I have complained 3 days in a row and they couldn’t solve our rooms problem. From 6 people, 4 got literally attacked by bed bugs every night. My face, shoulders, arms, back and legs are covered of bites. we needed to sleep in the lounge. Would I come back? Just to have free sangrias and meet people in the hostel.

A notre arrivé a l'auberge, l'enregistrement a été long et chaotique. La propreté des lieux autant dans les salles communes, que les salles de bain que les chambres. De plus nous avons eu un supplément gratuit compris avec la chambre : des punaises de lit, j'ai même réussi a en prendre une en photo. Ma femme et moi avons été piqués a plusieurs reprises. Quand on a averti l'accueil la personne n'était pas étonnée de la nouvelle. J'ai aimé lost Inn Porto,mais Lisbonne manque cruellement de qualité

Great location and staff were super helpful despite the negative nature of the review. We did see reviews mentioning bed bugs after we booked but we decided to chance it. We checked in and later found bed bugs in our freshly made bed. We alerted staff who advised that there were no other beds in the hostel available and that they would help find somewhere else for us to stay. Unfortunately there was no other rooms available in Lisbon that night and we had to instead ‘sleep’ in the common area upstairs - this started off our Lisbon holiday very poorly and we virtually lost a day from a lack of sleep. The night staff member was so so helpful and this review is not a critique of him. We were issued with a full refund and had to find alternative accommodation which was more expensive. We were offered no compensation for any of this beyond a refund. I understand these things happen but to have zero contingency when stuff goes wrong surprised us.

Bed bugs!

Felt welcome from arrival, reception staff were friendly. Free sangria every night is good for socialising and the soup on Sunday is lovely. There was an issue with bed bugs but the beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Hairdryer in the girls bathroom was also great. I’d stay again!

Bed bug alert! A conflicting review to make as I loved the hostel, but the bed bugs really sucked. I did not find signs of them on my bed or things, I found them in the wall one morning. I changed rooms twice after that and in those rooms I did not find bugs. Still, I will spend the rest of my trip paranoid and scared. Ugh.

overall good but I was unlicky to have bed bugs in my bed, the staff has however been very helpful in transferring me to another room and making sure that all was ok. The other bed did not have bed bugs

So not a good review because from the 2 days of my stay I wasn't able to sleep properly because of bed bugs.. I rreported the issue and they only changed the bed sheets but that wasn't enough... I had really bad nights because I was bitten all the time by those bugs and it was awfully scratching me in my back, arms. So I sent them an email but they never answered me back.

Good place but it has bedbugs

Really wish I had seen the reviews about bed bugs before booking and avoided staying here. My left arm, neck, abdomen, and right foot, are completely ravaged by bed bug bites after staying here for 2 nights last week. I reported bed bugs to them 2 days after I checked out when the bites started appearing (they are delayed in appearance) hoping they would be able to quickly de-bed-bug that room for future guests but no reply, so I can only assume there will inevitably be many more victims in that room. Personally I would really appreciate any sort of partial refund or at the very least response and apology given that this is wildly uncomfortable and has made traveling back home an absolute nightmare. Based on other reviews below seems like this is a consistent issue they haven't been able to effectively handle.

Staff initially quite friendly. I was also travelling with 2 others and we stayed in the 4-bed mixed dorm - we were all bitten quite badly by bed bugs. If this is sorted I think the hostel would be fine for a short visit through Lisbon.

j'ai été gênée de savoir qu'il y a eu des punaises de lit quelques mois plus tôt; ils ont du tout désinfecter, mais heureusement je n'en ai jamais eu.

There were bed bugs in room 7! In the morning I woke up with bed bug bites across my body. This was not pleasant at all and caused a major inconvenience. This needs to be taken care. for positives, I can say the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is very good

ÉVITEZ cette auberge. J'y ai séjourné fin juillet, et j'ai été piquée par des punaises de lit. Plus de 40 piqûres. Fort heureusement j'en ai pas ramené chez moi. Désinfectez vos dortoirs.

I didn't have bed bugs, but I know it's an issue others have had. Great location and very friendly staff.

How I almost forgot to review my favourite hostel in Lisbon !! Initially, everything seemed great – spacious kitchen, comfy common area, and social events. However, the nightmare began when bed bugs struck- infesting my room. Reporting the issue to Sergio was dealt in a professional manner, washed my belongings and switched my rooms. However the situation escalated extremely sour from here.. when I encountered the most unprofessional staff member the next morning. Unfortunately not getting this woman name, not to worry - easily recognisable by her grumpy demeanor and lack of customer service skills, the most unwelcoming face of the hostel. She well insisted, I hadn't paid for a 6-bed room, hmm now that seems odd eh ?? Blaming me.. for the bed bug issue ? Her attempt to shift blame was a disgrace to the company. To make matters worse, she wanted to move me back to the same room with bed bugs. A lack of accountability and professionalism was appalling. Now sure, I should have brought this awful behaviour to the attention of your manager, Joao and dealt with it in a professionally manner but… hey you are the expert on professional behaviour here. So why waste anymore of my time, then bring it to the internet for all future guests.. or not guests to see :) Not only ruining your reputation but your companies down too all in one. All thanks to you, miss grumpy well done !! Anyway short story short, I will never set foot in a Lost Inn hostel again after this terrible experience. And neither should you. Despite its prime location and good social atmosphere, encountering "miss grumpy" and bed bugs would ruin any stay. The company's claim of taking matters seriously is a farce. I doubt very much the matter of bed bugs was dealt with very well if at all, just ship the next batch captain, say nothing.. eyes on the prize.. eyes of the prize 🤑 A complete nonsense of a place – steer clear unless you enjoy disrespect and bed bug accommodations !!

I loved this Hostel, the staff was kind and helpful. The building its swlfswlfself is beautiful, and the location is perfect, couple blocks from the time out market, a road up from pink street, close to metro and a 10 minute walk fromfrom ththe Train. My only complaint is that there was an incident with bed bugs- which they did handle immediately, and efficiently

Eu tive mta sorte em encontrar esse hostel no meu longo layover em Lisboa. Eles me trataram suuuuper bem, o staff eh incrível e faz vc se sentir em casa! Tem sangria de graça pros hóspedes ❤️ achei os quartos bons, mas os banheiros podem ser melhorados (porta emperra, não tava tão limpo). Gostei mto de não precisar d cadeado pros lockers (a gente usa o próprio cartão do quarto). Eu suspeitei ter bedbugs no travesseiro mas não fui picada não quando dormi! Eu tive uma estadia agradável e voltaria com ctz 🥰

BED BUGS!!!! Found them in two separate rooms. I did get refunded for my three nights as I had to go to a hotel after finding them. Even without this problem the place is not clean. The showers are infested with flies and everything smells a little off. The area is a little sketchy but right downtown so that’s the only positive.

BEWARE OF BEDBUGS!!! They were sucking the blood out of a few of us. They need to shut the place down for a few days and thoroughly wipe them out. One poor girl was bit all over her body and face. I killed one in the bed!!! They also through away my food in the fridge because they could not read the date on my bag

I booked this hostel for 3 nights through Hostelworld because of the location and the good reviews. Upon my arrival while looking.the location on google maps, I stumbled on the reviews mentioning their bedbug issue recently. Since I already paid my 3 nights I decided to be careful but I ended up getting bitten at around midnight too late to book elsewhere. The staff was very accommodating refunded me and offered me a bed where there was no issue apparently. I did not get more bites but slept terribly and lost a day being tired and finding another place to stayi

Bed bugs, was told I was getting a refund but never did.

In my first night I woke up covered by three bed bugs running on me. Also my roommate had the same issue. It was 2:30 a.m. and we went down to the reception. The guy directly knew what the problem was and assigned us a new bed and new dorm room. The third girl in the room was not contacted by the staff then, but we made her aware of the problem (she didnt receive another bed as she was checking out the next morning. That meant she had to spend the night with bed bugs) When I entered the new room and checked the bed I directly saw a bed bug on the "new" bed. I spent the night in the common room downstairs and 'slept' on three wooden chairs as I didn't trust any cushions. They've had this problem for a while now. It seemed to me that they may clean the beds but only one in a row as there are other guests. When they have such a plague in their house, they need to do more and make a all-round cleaning. I felt very sorry for the guests who checked in the next morning and didn't know about the problem. At least I received my money back. But I needed to come back the next day at 4 p.m. to request it which was annoying to do the extra trip.

Bed bugs!!! Everything was great, really nice staff, and close to the city center, but someone in my dorm saw a bed bug and I found bites on myself the next day. This was October/November 2023 btw

Hostel has bed bug in almost every room. And their only option was to move us into a different room with more bed bugs. Their cleaning process to remove the bug is to spray the bed and put new guest in bed right away without telling them guest found bugs the night prior. Theses rooms all still have bed bugs. They need all new mattress and linen in this hostel. Please stay safe and away from here. Me and all my friends and leaving with many bites and staff does not seem to care. The hostel staff was fully aware we were sleeping in infested beds after we showed photos and bites to them. With the way they are handing these bug they will not be leaving any time soon so stay away from here.

Bed bugs in literally every room do not stay here my friends and I just got moved to different room that also had bed bugs when we told them and they aren’t telling any of the new guests

The hostel is in a good location but sadly this is the only good thing. Even though the rooms are spacious, I suffered bed bug bites. Along with this the ‘vibe’ might be social but it’s so social the man next to me had a female visitor in his bed meaning I woke up to lovely sounds of kissing, mmmm.

attention, présence de punaises de lit! ils m’ont lavé mes vêtements et j’ai changé de dortoir, mais toujours le même problème

La 2e nuit, nous avons été (les 4 pers. dans ce dortoir) piquées par des punaises de lit. Quand nous l avons dit à la réception, ils ont répondu qu ils ete au courant. Il nous ont lavé (et retreci) notre linge. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre. Ils voulaient nous mettre dans le dortoir juste à côté du 1e dortoir alors qu il y avait aussi des punaises de lit dans le couloir. En plus, il fallait dormir à 2 dans 1 lit d1 pers. Quand nous avons refusé. Le manager nous a mis dehors ...

Place was nice enough. Very big and super social. Would stay here again. Only thing was I think someone found bedbugs right after I left so keep an eye out. Check your mattress.

A professional dealing with Sergio, turned extremely sour with his colleague miss grumpy, recognisable by her grumpy demeanour and unwelcoming facial expressions. Tried to shift blame that, bed bugs were my issues and unless I paid more I would have to change rooms ( back to the infested bed bug room ) The lack of accountability and professionalism was appalling. it has bed bug, i got bitten all over the body, 4 limbs, and back. even they help with the change of bed and laundry. it doesn’t help, it’s just the start of my journey. the hostel is close to a lot of bars, if u are party animal you are happy, but if u want a comfortable quiet environment to sleep, just don’t pick it. and if you with heavy suitcase, also don’t pick it, it has no elevator at all. the toilet is not the cleanest. and I didn’t able to find the remote control of the air conditioner so it is just a decoration on the wall, thats it!
