So loud at night and a bit of a weird crowd here - avoid

This is not a safe place for solo females due to its location and staff will place you in all male rooms, even after multiple requests to be placed with other females. Profits over safety.

The hostel is just above a night club. There is no way to escape the noise. Impossible to sleep, which is the basic function expected !

The bad - The hostel is above a bar and next to train tracks. The noise is excessive throughout the night. The windows are very thin and do nothing to dampen the noise. The hostel is very worn and in need of a refresh. The feel was kind of depressing. The good - The location is next to old town. Also note that this is not a social hostel. I would not stay here again. The positive reviews I read seemed to apply to a different hostel.

The hostel is situated in a nice spot nearby the old city center. The building is old, but that's fine. The hostel itself is terrible. Everything is old and needs renewal. No effort is done to keep it livable. I would not recommand this hostel to anyone.

It was a surprise to me that the shower and bathroom was far from my room, I know I should’ve checked this but it was my first encounter to it so that didn’t cross my mind while booking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and quite chill about checking out. The girls room was not nice as the room smelled bad due to a woman eating food in there and also the room wasn’t locked so it didn’t feel safe.

The location was convenient, and the beds were quite comfortable. We stayed in a 6 bed female dorm and felt safe and comfortable in the room. The property was mostly quite clean, but there was moldy coffee sitting in the coffee maker in the common room. The biggest issue was the staffing, which felt careless and inconsistent. There was rarely anyone at reception even when it was meant to be open — and there were no hours listed when it was closed. Make sure you tell them when you’re arriving...

Very minimalistic, just a bed and a small closet in the room, though some things were broken (like a lamp), bathrooms were fine, good location with a very short walk to pretty much everything Works great for if you just need a place to sleep. Didn’t use the facilities but they looked nice. Nice receptionist:))

The Hostel was really well located but not too social and also not too clean. The female dorm was really hot and flooded with light that was a little exhausting

There was no one at reception at check-in (cleaning lady ended up calling him and he said he’d be 30 min late), plus no one there at night so toilet paper was definitely running low…absolutely no atmosphere either. If you’re looking to lay your head down and be central, this is fine.

Great hostel. Very small, not sociable (exactly what I wanted), the only thing is I would’ve preferred to have curtains on the beds and plug sockets at each bed as my phone got unplugged in the middle of the night and it wasn’t charged

I truly enjoyed stayed at Hostel Folks! One of the cleanest hostels, I have ever experienced. The rooms are layed out in a way that everyone has adequate room. The toilets and showers are super clean. The staff is super nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again on my next visit! Che

Great hostel. The beds are not crammed into a few square meters, so you have enough personal space, even if you are in a room with 5 other people. Nice staff, clean rooms. Only the kitchen is a bit smaller for so many people, and I would appreciate an oven. The only downside I see is that the door can be opened from the outside without a key (it can't be slammed). With six people, it's not possible to lock it behind you every time. So the room was theoretically always unlocked. But overall grea...

Good stay overall. Comfortable bed and great location for sightseeing, though a bit far from the main bus station.Downsides: no sockets or curtains by the bunk beds, bathroom door lock wasn’t working, and the female dorm door didn’t properly lock,but it didn't bother me. Locker in the room is a plus. Staff were helpful over the phone.Recommended for simple overnight stay.

Mix up with room on first night was unfortunate, could be helpful if hostel hired more staff so there’s someone 24/7. Great location although train passing by at night is loud. Room was big and comfortable.

Good but the noise of the trams for all the night didn’t make me sleep well.

Really nice place, very central, clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. Big rooms with plenty of space. Kitchen a little small.

Nice hostel. Lots of open space to lounge. Only a couple bathrooms though, so may wait a minute or two. Would stay again, no problem. Rec: add shelves to bathrooms and next to beds to store items.

Really liked this hostel! The owner(?) was very nice and it was incredibly clean, seriously their cleaner is on top of things. It was in a great location near the main attractions and had a small market across the street for snacks or cooking basics. My only negatives: the showers didn’t have much privacy and there didn’t seem to be much atmosphere for socializing.

Very good hostel, at a perfect location with very good facilities and very clean. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

This was with perfect location. It was quite hard find the reception and get in as the door was locked and there was no one on the reception. I needed to wait around 20mins that the staff finally arrived so I could check-in. Good beds, but curtains would be good thing for more privacy. Also noisy sounds from the street like tram sounds. Also there were random people who weren’t even in our hostel, walking around and looking in our rooms ? And dorm door weren’t locked … really clean propert...
