Interesting hostel with a few quirks. The rooms themselves are fairly clean, but you'll have to deal with super thin curtains which pose an issue when It comes to privacy. For some reason all the toilets don't have a toilet seat, so you're forced to sit on porcelain. There are three individual cubicles, but one them has a door which doesn't shut properly; another has a showerhead which is encrusted in lime scale and barely emits any water, so in actuality, only one works.

We're disappointed after reading quite good reviews in advance. The room was tiny. Somehow the toilet and shower were integrated in the room, but tiny and not that easy to get in and out. There were shared showers outside which were OK. The room wasn't really tidy. We've been traveling through the Amazon for several weeks and had some surprises, but for sure this hostel doesn't deserve such a good review. If you book it don't expect too much. The kitchen is poorly equipped and not very clean.

La gente son muy amables y también los viajeros son de buena onda. Lastimosamente nos pareció bastante sucio el equipo de la cocina y también el baño podría ser más limpio. Es un lugar cómodo, barato y con una linda atmósfera.

The hostel has a beautiful garden, is away from the traffic noise and Norma is the sweetest host. She took care of me when i was feeling sick when i first arrived and made sure i had what I needee. The hostel is much recommended.

Le personnel est super gentil ! On se sent comme chez soi, on se sent en famille ! La douche est froide, mais la température à Tarapoto est tellement chaude que ça fait du bien ! Une petite auberge tranquille avec un coin chill avec hamac et siège. Parfait pour se reposer !

Une auberge de jeunesse tenue par une dame et son garçon de 8 ans. Très sympathiques. Les chambres sont petites et auraient besoin d’un peu d’amour, mais pour le prix, c’est très correct.

I had a great time at this hostel! Good facilities, friendly staff, cute yard. What stood out completely for me was the kindness and care the owner extended to me. Not long after arriving, I began to feel really ill and feverish. By midnight, I was not ok, and not in a state to try to speak Spanish to a doctor. She found me an emergency clinic that was open, then accompanied me there in the middle of the night, helping to talk to the drs until I was admitted for the night. Thank you so much �...

Mein private room war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben eine gute Waschmaschine und die Gastgeberin war so nett und hat mir sogar alle Kleider zum Trocknen aufgehängt! Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!🙏

The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We got lots of support and information for our further trip from them. The receptionist is a bit reserved. Thanks a lot!

Endroit très calme à 15 min à pied du centre, parfait pour se reposer. Personnel accueillant, espaces propres, wifi fonctionne bien. Nickel

Nos encantó nuestra estancia en Kitara House. En un hostal muy cómodo, con hamacas en el jardín. La habitación privada es cómoda. Solo hace falta más equipo en la cocina. Pero se puede cocinar! Vamos a volver.

Me gustó mucho esta estructura acogedora y familiar. el lugar es sencillo y limpio. personal muy acogedor! Yo aconsejo !

un ottimo ostello e i proprietari sono molto accoglienti e gentili,molto disponibili a qualsiasi aiuto e informazione. Ostello pulito e con una buona energia. Ci tornerei sicuramente!
