Looked clean but pretty sure there were bed bugs!!!

BED BUGS!!! we went in and found bed bugs in 2 beds. when we went to tell the staff they were really rude about it and told us they would only refund us for the bed with the bed bugs (which makes no sense because if a few beds have bedbugs then all probably do especially since they are nocturnal so would only come out at night). Afterwards they took their claim back and said they won’t refund any of the beds unless we were bitten so we ended up leaving to another hostel. the staff was really rude and should have handled the situation way better. would not recommend going there

Jewelry stolen from my locker and on my bed. People went into my bed multiple times when I wasn’t there. Majority of the staff was helpful and nice. Kitchen and bathrooms are really dirty. One girl found a bed bug in her bed.

The hostel was airconditioned, the beds were a good size and had curtains which was great. It wasn’t as social as most people were in groups and there were no activities hosted by the hostel. It is a bit of a walk from the old town but the facilities were clean. I did however discover a bed bug on the curtain of my bed the morning I was checking out.

**WARNING** check your sheets, mattress, under your mattress AND under your bed supports for bed bugs!! I got absolutely attacked by bed bugs. When I told told the staff, they found all the bugs under the mattress and under the bed supports, then proceeded to accuse me of bringing the bugs to the hostel on my bag or clothes. Very far-fetched argument that didn’t hold up when they found bugs in the other beds. Although they did do a big deep clean which was nice. Not sure how drastic a €20 refund would have been to the hostel, but they weren’t willing to do anything to help me out ;( Apart from that, the 8-bed room was spacious, kitchen was great and had everything you’d need, showers were hot with good water pressure. Would stay again, but not with their little bug friends :)

I would have given this place a 4/5 but there’s no way i can. I got bed bug bites all over my body because of the bed i was in at the hostel and it’s been hell dealing with it.

When my vacation is forced to come to a halt, I feel it necessary to share my experience. During my recent stay I was attacked by bed bugs. But despite this unfortunate situation, I still gave management the opportunity to rectify the situation to no avail. A certain staff member was uncooperative, combative, and unable to respond to the situation satistactorily. Needless to say I checked out and left with a cleaning bill, loss of time, and bite marks all over my body. This was a complete fail and in my opinion staff should be held accounable. A huge disappointment and set back to my holiday. I cannot recommend. Check out my review with pictures on Trip Advisor and on Facebook. Recommendation to staff: the customer is always right. I can easily spend my hard earned money elsewhere.
