Nos atendió un tipo muy raro que parecía un matón. Había chinches en la cama y el colchón estaba sucio. No parecía un lugar seguro.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! This hostel is horrible. It's RUN DOWN and badly managed. Greedy owners who don't reinvest a single cent back. For 27€ without breakfast, the place is a rip off. The people who work there we asume are part time staff. Genuinely sad, because we heard that this place used to be a lovely hostel and it could be again with propper work put in. I doubt they change bed sheets! Really dirty and smelly. Luckly no bed bug bites (even they might have escaped this place) The underside of the matresses are MOLDY. Half the matresses are less than 10 cm thick and so worn out, you sleep on the bed frame. Dirt in every corner. They only clean the middle of the floor. You can see where did the "landlord special" paintwork, where they painted the floors dark, but only to the bed frame. Then the bed was slightly moved. 2 outlets for 5 people. 2 toilets for the whole floor and they are mixed sex. 4 showers for the whole floor, also mixed, and with only a push button, the water starts at ice cold and goes to boiling. No regulation. The fridges are full of old stinky food, dirty. Most of the stove tops are broken. If I would have continued to search and document mold and grime, I would probably just go sleep in the park...

It was a good hostel for what you pay. There are no privacy curtains on the bunks, and it smells a bit in the bathroom and in the rooms. No bed bugs, and the staff were friendly! Great location next to the train/bus station, and they let you store your luggage before check in and after check out! Not a very social hostel and overall not my favorite, but good for a nights stay!

Well, there were no bedbugs, room itself was clean I’m fairly certain the linens had not been changed. I really preferred the hostels where you made your own bed with fresh linens and then you returned your sheets at the end of your stay. We stayed at other hostels that did a much better job of making certain that there were quiet hours. This place was so loud. We had trouble sleeping and didn’t quiet down until about two in the morning, but then people were very loud from about 5 o’clock am onwards.. so we only got about three hours of sleep

For its expensive place this hostel was quite a rip-off. The room consisted of just beds with no table or cupboard to place clothes. The kitchen was OK but the seating area was very limited. The bed were full of bed bugs so it was hard to sleep at night and it was very noisy at night. The shower temperature was stuck on boiling so the showers were unusable.

This is the WORST hostel I have ever stayed in, literally, there are homeless people living there. The kitchen was gross, to say the least, the floors were dirty, a bunch of plates and dirty things all over the kitchen, even the sponge to clean the dishes was dirty. The bathrooms are shared and gender neutral so I had to hear (and smell) the guys' mess while doing my business. I'll be happy if I didn't get chlamydia just by sitting on that toilet. The showers hadn't been cleaned up in forever... I couldn't get out of there fast enough. FOUND BED BUGS IN MY HAIR AFTER SLEEPING THERE. There were people shouting all night long, don't know if they were drunk or crazy or both, but the people from the hostel did nothing to keep them under control... felt UNSAFE. I just felt lucky I managed to get out of there okay.

This is a vile place and disgusting, the staff are so rude. it's not clean and I got bedbugs bites on my whole body stay away it's a kip

The most horrible hostel I never see in my life! They have bedbugs for everywhere, the don't change the linen after the customers leave the hostel, the bathrooms smell like a pub toilets and the woman work in the reception is rude and awful person.

The location of the hostel might be good (city), but the beds are disgusting and dirty. I am not sure if they changed the beddings. The rooms are very small and there is a poison against rats and bedbugs in the room - why?! The hygiene of the rooms is unacceptable. BUT: no problem to cancel 2 nights. Our proposition: go to the black sheep hostel in Killarney.

Update: The manager Mr.McMahon got in contact and refused to give a refund of money (seeing as i didn't stay here) unless i removed by reviews. I think this reflects the managements attitude to the state of the hostel. In addition, the lady I and many other reviewers encountered as being rude that his previous co owner Mrs.McMahon .. I was informed "we leave the windows open in the rooms to air them out, stuff can "blow in". I mean the nature of budget accommodation, you expect a little bit of dirt and hairs". As i said in original review, avoid this place - a quick walk around the block and you will find a B&B for the same price for two people which also provides a safe and warm breakfast. We arrived for a night, room was dirty .. it clearly hadn't been hoovered in a long time, hairs everywhere and small black beads which to us looked like carpet beetle eggs or else worse bed bug shedding. Sheets were dirty stained black marks (we thought blood Stains) . We left for afternoon and Decided not to risk even sleeping here and went to a local B and B instead... we returned and informed the staff of These issues and were told they would ensure room would Be cleaned and sorted . I am so glad we didn't stay here if would have ruined the truth . Avoid at all costs and pay the extra for a good nights sleep. mouldy

I would give this place a 2.5 stars just because of the fact the bed sheets were gross and I was constantly itching from them. I developed what looks like bed bug bites, so if I were you I would bring an extra bed sheet just in case or just don't stay there at all. It was cheap and I was only there to sleep. I saw it had a 4.0 out of 5.0 and thought this one would be good. Everything was good except for the bed sheets.
