Het hostel ligt perfect en is zeker netjes. Het is echter absoluut geen ‘youth hostel,’ kamer werd voor een groot deel gedeeld met oudere reizigers. Geen gratis kluisjes beschikbaar helaas.

We stayed here for 3 nights. There were some good but mostly bad things about the hostel. Good: Very helpful reception staff Prime location right next to the river side park Bad: No fan- it was a heatwave going in Bern during that time .A fan wouldn’t cost much, but would help guests sleep better Families and kids - if you are looking to interact with a youthful energetic crowd and backpackers, this is not the place for you. It was full of families and kids booking whole dorms

high standard of cleanliness and great new facilities, however not the most social/vibey hostel. granted i visited in the dreary swiss winter :)

Bern Youth Hostel was perfect for my one night in Bern. It was clean, orderly and well located. I appreciated the large lockers and private shared bathrooms. The hostel was not very social (perhaps it was just the night I was there). The guest seemed to be quite a mix of ages. The staff were polite and helpful.

This hostel is fairly well situated within walking distance of Bern town centre in a quiet secluded spot. I stayed here three nights and overall had a pleasant stay. The rooms and beds are comfortable, if a little hot, with lockers for security. There is a breakfast included in the price which is always a bonus. Ine criticism would be the toilet facilities - I thought they could have been a bit cleaner.

Es un buen hostal, pero con algunos descuidos, como los contactos en las camas, que parecen ser de mala calidad y no sirven. Asimismo, si escoges la cama de arriba no tendrás enchufes a tu alcances. Y las puertas de los baños pueden ser complicadas de cerrar a menos que presiones fuerte. Fuera de eso, es un lugar muy amigable, el desayuno vale la pena y está a lado del río.

it was a unique experience since i came during December for 3 nights and I didn't expect the city to be so quiet during the day. the hostel's location was amazing since it was right next to the river Aare and at night if you walked around you could fall in love with the scenery. the dorm room is kind of small for 6 people but i was lucky, there were not more than two people with me during my stay. the breakfast is really nice and also you are entitled to free pass with the local transportation!

Nice staff. Decent breakfast. Good location. Family hostel, not really for socialising and getting to know other travellers.

Wir waren schon mehrmals da und es hat uns hier immer gefallen. Super ist v.a. die Toplage. Beim Marzili und Aare zum Baden genial. Sowie auch zentral zur Stadt/Bundeshaus. Zimmer sauber, kein Gedränge. Tiptop!

Really nice staff, such a great location for a sunny day and proximity to the city centre. Loads of choice for breakfast, good showers and a very comfortable stay.

Seul truc "négativ", on pourrait mettre des rideaux aux lits dans les dortoirs. Ça donne un peu plus de possibilités d'être tranquille quand les autre rentrent plus tard ou partend plus tôt

I had a decent stay at Bern Youth Hostel although I did have a couple of problems. I felt as though the rooms should have had en-suites because for one floor there were only 2-3 bathrooms and showers. Secondly, the hostel was full of children & teenagers which I did not expect. Both nights I stayed there was a group of teenagers that ran up and down the corridors screaming and banging on the walls.

Prima hostel op een goede locatie. Ontbijt was goed. Het matras was helaas erg zacht en doorgezakt, waardoor ik met rugpijn ben weggegaan. Douches hebben weinig ruimte of iets van haakjes voor je kleding en dergelijke.

Good place to stay, a 10 or so minute walk from the train station (although down a big hill). Right on the river which was lovely. Staff were super helpful - shoutout to the guy who told me the best ways to swim in the river! Clean dorm, though very basic. Bathrooms and showers were in the main floor area, by the stairs in what felt a very public area - only part I didn’t like.

The vibes were kinda quiet. Perfect for me because I was only staying one night, but I may have felt a bit disconnected if staying for longer. The old town is very close and as is a good river access.

Super modern hostel close to the train station, city centre and the Aare river (which you can float down in the summer)!! Beds are super comfortable, staff are very friendly, and the food is great. The free transit pass makes it easy to get around the city as well. Many families and youth groups stay here though, so often times there are many children on the property. I would definitely stay here again!!
