J'ai trouvé des punaises de lit et on me dit qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire (au final on m'a changé de chambre et offert de faire des lessives gratuitement) j'espère que le sujet a été traité parce que niveau propreté j'en ai vu mieux

I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel, as it offers a good level of privacy even in the 8-bed dorms. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were super warm and not sufficiently air-conditioned. After returning home I noticed bed bug bites on my skin. This experience unfortunately left a bad impression.

Excellent hostel, clean, big, comfortable, 24 hour reception. Rooms have great wooden beds with curtains and comfy mattresses. Someone commented on his review, that there is a gap next to the mattress, but I found it very handy to put some things I needed in there. The female room I stayed in, had its own ensuite bathroom/toilet. The beds have large drawers for storage with a padlock loop. They were big enough to store my whole suitcase (hand luggage size), flat, plus extra space for things. Only drawback is the rooms feel quite cramped. There's a lift and storage lockers, staff were very polite and it's a central location. The actual area is a shopping area, so not my favourite in Prague as it's very busy, however the hostel is tucked away in a side street. I recommend this hostel and would stay here again without hesitation. Bring your own padlocks, if you don't want to buy one at the reception. P. S. After I wrote the review, I read the other reviewer's recent experiences with bed bugs and I freaked out! However, I inspected my mattress and all was well. Hopefully, it was an isolated incidence.

Worked remotely from this hostel for a few days but the internet connection was not reliable for my needs. Also I had the unfortunate surprise of having bed bugs in my bed 😞 Everything else was fine!

I had an unpleasant encounter with bedbugs at Dream Hostel. I told one of tha staff members and he said it had never happened, but that they would check anyways. They did change my bedsheets, but I kept being bitten until the last (5th) night, and had to wash all the clothes I brought to Prag when I arrived home at high temperature to avoid infestation in my place. I didn't give a worse rating because I think the hostel is capable of tackling this, if they take it seriously. It is probably not a huge infestation (I counted 17 bites on my body, wich might correspond to around 3 to 6 bugs).

Very disappointing stay. The beds are infested with bedbugs—I was bitten every single night. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this problem has been reported before, yet the manager still does nothing about it. Ignoring such a serious issue shows a complete lack of care for guests’ health and comfort. Until they fix this, I cannot recommend staying here.

Myself and two of my friends stayed at this hostel for 3 nights this August. We booked to stay in a 4 bed room with air conditioning. There was in-fact no air conditioning at all making us all feel rather unwell due to Prague being 35 degrees at the time of our stay and overwhelmed across the 3 nights. One of us ended up with food poisoning over our stay here (not from the hostels food) and minimal support was provided. Each morning we would all wake up with new bed bug bites which would show up in a long line down our body. Other than the bed bugs, the hostel seemed clean enough. Lastly to add, If you are looking at staying here , be aware that the hostel is located on a street full of strip clubs with people waiting outside trying to guide you in at night. However , a positive of the location of this hostel is its very easy to commute to any of the attractions and the city centre.

BED BUGS!! Please read the reviews before booking your stay here. There were bed bugs and hair from the previous person that slept on my bed. Not clean bed sheets whatsoever. Drunk group of men being loud and singing at midnight disturbing everyone on the floor, the receptionist wouldn’t say anything to them. The only positive thing is the location which isn’t far from the Metro, and the curtains on each bed. Wouldn’t go back there.

I was bitten by bedbugs, they have an infestation!!! DONT COME!!!

I wish i could give a better rating, since my stay was good, the hostel was well equipped and everyone was nice BUT the bed bugs killed me. I got like 20 bites on my feet, legs and back or even more... and reading these reviews here i know, it wasn't just mosquitoes. I got a severe allergic reaction and had to get a lot of medication. This is disgusting...

O colchão é pequeno/estreito, bem menor q a cama, o que deixa desconfortável e um buraco na estrutura da cama. Na minha cama apareceram percevejos e fui picada durante a estadia.

It wasnt actually dirty, but I got bitten by bedbugs (or some sort of bugs) as I was sleeping, it got infected, I had to go to the emergencies for that and now I am under antibiotics for a week. And when I asked to have another bed for my last night I was told it wasnt possible. So overall not a great experience, but beside that the staff was nice.

Bed bugs! If you are not afraid of such "neighbors", then everything is fine.We were bitten very badly by bed bugs in this hostel. The administration did not resolve this issue, the only thing they did was change the bedding and disinfect the room. But the next night we were bitten again.When we asked to change the mattress, they said that they had no other mattresses, so it is likely that you will be put on the same mattress with bed bugs. Also, keep in mind the lack of ventilation!

Fomos no verão e o quarto era extremamente quente, sem ar condicionado e janelas trancadas. Solicitamos à recepção que destravassem a janela. Foi nos prometido um ventilador, que nunca chegou. A localização tem muitos prostíbulos e cafetões, não nos sentimos seguros ao caminhar à noite. Café da manhã caro para o que oferece. Wi-Fi não funciona bem. Funcionário jogando no celular na recepção, ao invés de fazer o atendimento. Bed bugs na cama.

A few issues with this property, starting with it being extremely hot and no air conditioning and they don’t let you open windows. The bigger issue being I did get attacked by bed bugs here - however the staff did move me into a private room after. However they weren’t very sympathetic or apologetic. Don’t recommend staying here

The hostel's location was convenient for a short two day stay although Prague deserves a much longer visit. I would not stay at this hostel again though due to the uninviting front desk staff and I think I got bed bugs from the wooden bunk beds. However, the beds were very comfy and the curtains were nice for privacy. The bathrooms were outside of the room and although there were only two on our floor with 8 girls in the room I never had to wait to use. Not the worst but not the best hostel I've stayed at.

We read a few bad reviews before we arrived to this hostel. Talking about bed bugs, poor security, people randomly opening your doors. We though it was just someone’s bad experience and they were exaggerating. Welp, all I need to say is we were there for a total of 20 minutes before we left and found another hostel. The room was every bit of 80+ degrees, the linens were dirty, the bathroom stunk, and someone randomly walked in our room and awkwardly stared at us. Avoid this place.

Bedbugs, innapropriate guests, and terrible wifi. I’m covered in bites and found baby bedbugs and the adult ones, so there’s clearly an infestation. Front desk employees and cleaners weren’t too surprised. They just said “sorry.” One of my roommates in a 6-bed room started masturbating while I was in the room. I was able to switch rooms. This situation can’t be prevented by the hostel, but I don’t even think they talked to the guy or kicked him out. Wifi throughout the hostel (and in the lobby) was terrible. I used data most of the time I was here.

BED BUGS!! DO NOT BOOK. THEY KNEW THEY HAD BED BUGS ON THE ROOM AND THEY SEND US THERE ANYWAY. WE HAD TO LEAVE AFTER A NIGHT OF BEING BITTEN.

AVOID THIS HOSTEL!!! I have been bitten by multiple bed bugs and the staff knew about this problem but didn't care to help me at all and recommended me to "go and buy some meds". I had to urgently book another place to stay in the middle of the night because they did not give me any possible solution.

This hostel has bedbugs in some of the rooms. The hygiene is lacking, we've found a dirty sock, hairs and blood stains. The staff was not very friendly. Do yourself a favour and book a better hotel.

Helaas een erg slecht hostel! Hygiëne in de kamers en badkamers kan een stuk beter! Overal haren en stof. Daarnaast hebben veel kamers last van bedwantsen! Een probleem waar het hostel al een aantal maanden mee te maken heeft en weinig aan (lijkt) te doen Ik zou iedereen afraden hier te verblijven.

Veel kamers hebben last van bedbugs. Blijkbaar is dit al 4 jaar een probleem waar niets aan gedaan wordt. Daarnaast was onze kamer en de badkamer erg vies: overal haren, stof, bloedvlekken in de lakens, afval van vorige gasten. Ga hier niet slapen!

Bedbugs in the hostel

Worst hostel I've ever seen, no bath towels and locks. full of bed bugs and Mites in the bed. In the end I slept in another bed and the administrator told me that I couldn't sleep in another bed because I would transfer the bed bugs. Im not sleeping all night and was very sleepy, I don't mind to sleeping in a bed other people slept in, but he was afraid that I would transfer the bed bugs. Finally made it to the morning and left this horrible hotel. The manager didn't even say "sorry" when checking out.

Nicht zu empfehlen ! Kein Warmwasser und Bettwanzen ! Das Personal, Insbesondere eine Putzfrau ist sehr unfreundlich und frech. Wir hatten unseren ganzen Aufenthalt ( 2 Nächte ) kein Warmwasser und die Heizung hat auch nicht funktioniert. Nach Nachfrage bei der Putzfrau, wird uns gesagt "Wenn Sie Warmes Wasser haben möchten gehen Sie zu einem Hotel und kommen sie nicht zum Hostel" Als wir nachträglich die schlechteren Bewertungen durchgelesen haben, ist das es kein Warmwasser gibt ein alltägliches Problem in diesem Hostel, da Sie anscheinend einen viel zu kleinen Beuler haben ( ein Google Kommentar von einen ehemaligen Mitarbeiter ) Und dann haben wir noch bei der Abreise Bettwanzen gefunden, nachdem wir alle von den gebissen wurden. Das Check Out war auch sehr problematisch, da uns vorgeworfen wurde, dass im Zimmer geraucht wurde und wir eine Strafe von über 2000 Euro zahlen sollen, das lustigste dabei ist - wir sind Nichtraucher 😂🤦🏿‍♂️

Lots of bedbugs, Me and my friends all have been bitten for several place, it wasn’t a good feeling to be bite by bedbugs while travelling. I cannot not travel well and those bedbugs followed me when I back to home.

PUNAISES DE LIT / BED BUGS !!!!!!! DO NOT GO Unacceptable. My fiancé slept there 1 night, ( work travel ) and saw during the second night DOZENS of bugs running in his bed. How is it possible that this hotel is still open ? Tons of comments about this problem since MONTHS. He has to move outside at 2 a.m. in the middle of the night because he did not want to stay in a bed FULL OF BED BUGS. You should CLOSE and SOLVE THE PROBLEM. You have NO EXCUSE. So many hotels solved the problem when they had bed bugs and no longer have some. Not the fault of the receptionist who did what he could, but shame on the manager. Once again, you can have bed bugs, but when you don’t do the necessary as you should you should close. I could not sleep if I was running a business where there are bed bugs in my clients bed when they actually pay for it. So thank you bye, we’ll never come back.

HORRIBLE BED BUGS. DO NOT STAY HERE. 15 English teachers and I stayed at Dream Hostel a few weeks ago. ELEVEN of us had bed bug bites, and we stayed in THREE DIFFERENT rooms. This place is infested. No refund, no apology, and no decency. We left, and then the next people moved straight into the infested room. The health athourities need to thouroughly investigate this property. Not only was there a massive infestation of bed bugs, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Visable black mold and slime on the floors. Horrible urine stench in the hallways. It was absolutely disgusting. I know the low price and location is tempting, and the common room is nice, but it is NOT worth it. I had FIFTY BITES all over me. FIFTY. Jesus Christ. The managment (specifically Alžběta Vondráčková) blamed US that WE had brought the bed bugs to the hostel, when all of us were coming to stay from different parts of the country and hadn't seen eachother in weeks. Management is a joke and would not give a refund or respond to emails. Now many of the teachers are living with the nightmare of bringing the bed bugs back to their apartments. Absolutely disgusting.

Drama Hostel on the the first two nights was very pleasant, good modern decor, very clean looking and pleasant desk staff, that is until I discovered the bed bugs (50 or so) in the first night alone. That morning I asked for a private chat with one of the desk staff (I didn’t want to cause a scene) simply explained the situation and asked them for a refund so we could go and stop elsewhere. I was told “you need to speak to a manager” this took untill our last day I slept in the hostels lobby in the swinging chair for a night cause I couldn’t bar staying in that bed. Finally I met the manager and she was the rudest women I have ever encountered despite me trying to be very private about the situation and very nice about it. She started to tell my group we must have brought the bed bugs (little did she no I pulled up the hundreds of reviews from booking.com) showing her that people have had this problem loads We left on bad terms with no agreement. And as we checked out of our bed bug infested room, surely enough they was checking 5 more girls into our room awaiting their surprise also.

Got bitten by bed bugs and they couldn’t move me to a different room for the next night because the hostel was completely full. It’s not the first time it has happened (I’ve been traveling for months), but the other hostels it’s happened at have taken it more seriously and made sure no one stayed in the room until an exterminator came. DREAM just offered to change the linen which I was not ok with.

Decent place to stay - walking distance to the station and to all the lovely things in old town. Ok kitchen facilities. Decent beds (though is one person moves in the bunk the entire bunk moves which is annoying when you’re trying to sleep. The breakfast is quite good. My only complaints were the staff were not always very friendly or welcoming, (standoffish and rude at times) and the laundry facilities - two working washing machines for a hostel of this size is not enough especially where there is a large outbreak of bedbugs and a whole room is doing all their laundry at once.

Was a great spot to stay. Definitely central and walking distance to most things. Dislike. Bedbugs. Also the lack of compensation , care and general blasé attitude post getting smashed by bed bugs. Offered to refund the room if we wanted to leave.... ( had one night left there and couldn't move us rooms) change the sheets and one measly washing tablet and access to the laundry room. I've been refunded nights stays and had all of my gear washed for me when I've had the misfortune of these little nibblers. Good luck.

Dream Hostel Prague was alright. Stayed in a 4 bed room with friends. We arrived too early to Czech in (ha) so we filled out all the necessary paperwork & paid, dropped our bags into their left luggage room, then we went out to explore a bit of Prague. It was more expensive to stay in Dream than an AirBnB but, what an experience. Bathrooms are great, rooms are a decent size that come with storage trays, the staff were OK. Plus, their 'All you can eat' breakfast is really good value considering what's on offer. They've got a laundry room on site too & free WiFi. Both of which came in handy. The hostel itself is close to restaurants, fast food, main train station, mini-markets and a Billa just around the corner. Don't forget to also see King Wenceslas Riding on a Dead Horse in the Lucerna Palace + all the other public art displays only a stone's throw away. A few first world problems here... The pillows in our room are uncomfortable, room is really hot and stuffy so the window is open a lot and allows for added noise of street, but..... No bacon with the breakfast 🥓 :( Dream also recommended a restaurant in town but don't fall for that tourist trap. We also had a breakout of bedbugs in our room & when staff were informed they were very blasè. The room next to us had been treated for bedbugs earlier in the week so it seems this was bound to happen, a matter of 'when' not 'if'. Compensation was in the form of one liquid capsule for the washing machine. My partner has bites all over his toes, legs, back, neck and arms. We're now incurring further costs for lotions to prevent the itching and having our clothing and bags professionally dry cleaned to prevent further spread. Thanks Dream Hostel for the... Memories.
