K A Surf Hostel

Loved my stay here! Super friendly family-run hostel, everyone there was so helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing every morning, and it’s right next to the beach. Would totally recommend

Great family owned hostel :-) they are really friendly and helpful! The breakfast always consists of a typical Sri Lankan dish (roti, hoppers,…) which changes every day and additionally a great fruit platter!! Dorms are big, bathrooms are nice with the whole outdoor thing :-)

I got dengue in Kandy and the staff at KA helped nurse me back to health with Ayurvedic medicines (on top of what the hospital was already giving me) They are the kindest people and they attract good vibes. I met some of the best people here :)

I absolutely loved it here - would come back! Breakfast has amazing fruits, people are super friendly and helpful and it‘s just a few minutes to Marshmallows or the Rock for a surf :)

Very nice and clean hostel! The staff is so nice and welcoming. When I was there my phone broke, so one of the hostel owners drove me all the way to Galle to buy a new one - so nice! The dorm room was super spacious and the bathroom was super nice! There is warm water which is a plus!! Breakfast was also really good! A big plate of fruits and some pancakes with eggs! I would definitely stay here again!

very nice hostel, it felt like a little family after a week there

The hostel is run by a Sri Lankan brother and sister with their parents. They are all so kind and caring! If you’re sick or need sth they’re always there for you! The even cooked us dinner in our last night. Facilities are very clean and new. Very chill and calm hostel, where you also can connect. If you’re searching for a quite calm space this is exactly right for you.

Das Hostel war sehr sauber und die Dorms sehr groß. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, es gab jeden Tag einen vollen Teller an Obst + Sri Lankan Frühstück. Zu Fuß zum Strand waren es maximal 7 Minuten und man kann Fahrräder und Roller ausleihen. Ein kleiner local Supermarkt ist in der Nähe auch. Die Familie war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, kann es hier also nur empfehlen!! 😊 Perfektes Hostel neben Ahangama wenn man nicht direkt im geschehen übernachten möchte

Amazing hostel!!! It is family run and they are so sweet and go above and beyond with their service. The free breakfast is so good with a lot of fresh fruit, coffee or tea, and coconut pancakes or sometimes hoppers. Highly recommend staying here to support a local family.

It’s a super nice hostel, it feels like you’re staying in the garden of the family. They are all super kind and the free breakfast is amazing. It is not the fanciest hostel but you can feel that everything is made with love and that is worth way more! You will make friends as soon as you go there and it will be hard to leave the place.

Love the place, the owners are so cute und you get a free breakfast with lots of fruits. The room is clean & the beds are big! It’s ab big out of the city center but loved the location

I’ve now stayed 2x at K A Hostel & most prob. I’ll be back for a 3rd time. It’s locally owned&run - it truly feels like a home away from home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. You’re treated like an old family friend from the moment you arrive. They are happy to help u w anything- laundry to medical. K A is a short walk from Kabalana Beach and close to the bus stop, which makes everything easy. Breakfast is awesome - a big bowl of fresh fruit with hoppers or pancakes.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in in Sri Lanka! Amazing family business that go above and beyond for every one of their guests. Breakfast is really great with a big fruit platter and hoppers or pancakes (or both). The place is very clean and comfortable with amazing facilities. Only a 5 min tuk tuk ride to the main bars and shops with heaps of tuk tuks that wait on the street. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to stay here!

Endroit incroyable ! Calme, dans la nature mais à deux pas de la plage et des spots de surf. Les chambres sont extrêmement propres et tout fonctionne. La famille qui tient cet hôtel est incroyable. D’une gentillesse rare, toujours là pour donner des conseils et passer du temps avec les clients. Cet endroit je ne l’oublierai pas, et cette famille non plus. Déjà hâte d’y retrouver, foncez-y !!

One of the most lovely places I’ve stayed. The family who run this place are amazing and staying here feels a little like you’ve been brought into the home. They have a beautiful little garden complete with a very cute puppy, on top of this an amazing free breakfast, awesome rice and curry and very clean big rooms with out door showers. I, like most people I met here, returned for the end of my trip to Sri lanka- couldn’t recommend enough!
