Honestly, I’d avoid it ! The dorms are really basic and dirty, the staff is unfriendly, and while the place itself is okay, it’s nothing special. It’s cheap, but honestly, not even worth that price.
Super unorganized!! First brought me to the wrong room so had to swop rooms after packing out… Dirty, blood on my pillowcase, Aircon is broken. The kitchen and the menu not very good. Also super unorganized with the trips from the hostel. Pick up and drop off is not working. They also asked me if they can refund the money on the morning of the trip cause they found out that they forgot to book me in. But have to say that the guys from the entertainment are super cool!
The staff were very homophobic, they booked us a very unsafe scuba tour, they told us they booked us a transfer from sanur to ubud and just didn’t so we got to the dock completely clueless, there was a leak that soaked our bed. Overall not a good hostel, very unhelpful staff and strange atmosphere
Hostel als Solotraveler nicht zu empfehlen. Man fühlt sich unsicher & keine Restaurants in der Nähe. Menschenleere…
I would not recommend a hotel as a solo traveller, you feel insecure and there are no restaurants nearby.
Wij hadden helaas meer van Mad Monkey verwacht. De dorms zijn omgebouwd vanuit tweepersoons bungalows, raar ingedeeld en erg verouderd. Daarnaast was het zwembad niet erg schoon en ook geen sociale sfeer. Je betaalt niet veel, maar zou het niet perse aanraden.
Unfortunately we had expected more from Mad Monkey. the dorms are converted from two-person bungalows, oddly categorized and very outdated. besides the pool was not very clean nor was there a social atmosphere. i don't pay much, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
Could be the perfect hostel, but whole vibe is way off. They blast the worst tunes of all time every night and the staff are not helpful at all. Also watch out as my headphones got stolen there. Shame as the view of the waves is perfect and the sauna nice.
This place is a rip off tbh. The staff are super friendly so shout out to them but the food is crap and super expensive. Drinks are expensive too. The pool was fiiilthy whilst we were there. I went to pay for food and drinks with cash, they didn’t have any small change and told me to pay by card and then continued to charge me the 3% charge for paying on card… because they didn’t have any cash in their till??? Heard this happened to a few folks whilst we were there. Basically, not good val...
I would not recommend for solo female traveller. There was no closing/locking door to the hostel room or anywhere to lock your belongings. The location is isolated up a steep poorly lit road. 150,000 IDR to get anywhere by taxi car if you don’t rent a scooter (no grab). Continual issues with no running water, could not wash hands or toilet. Staff were asked to please fix the issue with the door etc but nothing was done. Loud music continually. Lovely pool but nowhere to relax away from part...
This hostel was absolutely horrific! It was filthy and repulsive, with bed bugs crawling in the bed, worms all over the bathroom, and an unbearable level of dirt everywhere. The place was disgustingly unkempt and far overpriced for such a terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

We loved our stay here!! The staff was very welcoming, we loved Randy, Jordan and Derry as they made our stay entertaining! Would recommend !
after staying on nusa penida this was the relaxing change of pace i was looking for! the staff and volunteers create an amazing calm social atmosphere, everyone was so kind and helpful! welcome night was a great way to break the ice and meet all the other new comers too! the pool area was clean and has amazing views over the island and the bar/kitchen was awesome! i will be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at Mad Monkey Nusa Lembongan. The staff was really nice and really good at make everyone feel included. Derry was especially good, with his high energy and card game knowledge (don’t expect to win) that opened the opportunity to connect with other people at the hostel
Great hostel, all of the staff was amazing!
It’s an amazing hostel with an incredible view. The food is delicious, and there are plenty of great facilities, including a sauna, ice bath, gym, and, of course, an infinity pool. I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely recommend it!
Det var virkelig nogle gode dage på mad monkey. Personalet er virkelig søde og har en dejlig energi især Rey, Randy og Derry kan set gang i festen

Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, saubere Zimmer. Das Hostel liegt auf einem Hügel, drum herum ist nicht viel, deshalb ist man auf einen Roller oder ein Taxi angewiesen, wenn man nicht ständig hoch und runter laufen möchte. Dafür hat man vom Pool und von der Bar aus einen richtig schönen Blick über die Insel und aufs Meer bis nach Bali.
The hostel is located on a hill, there is not much around, so you depend on a scooter or a taxi, if you do not want to run up and down constantly. for this you have a really nice view over the island and on the sea to Bali from the pool and the bar.

The best hostel in the whole world, came back a second time. Great social hosts, especially Derry, Rey, Kevin, Nyoman and Randy made the experience unforgetable

I had an amazing stay here! The hostel is incredible: the infinity pool with a view over the town and the ocean is amazing. There were events every evening, which made it super easy to meet people and have a great time. The atmosphere was always fun and social. A special shoutout to the staff, especially Derry and Leo, they were absolutely awesome and really made the experience even better. Also the dorm beds are very cheap, which is perfect if you are travelling on a budget. 100% recommend!
Had such a great stay here, really welcoming atmosphere. A good mix of chill and party if you wanted it. Shout out to Derry and Randy (the hostel double act) for making me feel at home and a fun stay.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Especially Gladys at the front desk! She gave me some phenomenal recommendations for beaches and restaurants so be sure to ask her for advice :)

Hatte eine mega Zeit, alles war sauber, jeden abends gibt es ein Party Programm, besonders die Mitarbeiter Aliana,Mona,Sha und Lara waren sehr nett und haben bei all möglichen problemen sofort geholfen 🥰👍🏻
