Summer Guesthouse Lovina

Would NOT recommend to stay here! Many ants around. Even in the room.(dorm) I came to the hostel and they got me a mattress on the floor. It was an available bed in the room but they said the mattress to me. Needed to ask for sleeping in the bed later. The manager/ the lady in the charge of the hostel had a rude behaviour that made me feel uncomfortable. When I checked out she blamed me for giving “wrong” towel color back. That is not true. Came back with the one I got the first day.

Advertised that they have AC but there isn't any in some of the dorm rooms. When i asked to move rooms the staff (especially the lady in charge of the hostel) were really nasty- made me feel uncomfortable, do not recommend staying here.

The family was so nice! But the room was hot and the beds don’t have any curtains which is weird. The bathroom sink just goes down in a bucket so there are doors and the shower curtain was almost fell on us… a little maintenance is due.. but other than that very close to the dolphin statue where main activities are! The street to get to the hostel is scary at night for a solo woman traveller..

I think about one point in time it was a great hostel. But now it so much. The family that runs it is nice enough especially the older lady. But I have a feeling the old man doesn’t like it at all. Overall if you just need a place in Lovina this place is good enough. But I wouldn’t stay here longer than a day. In fact I would skip Lovina all together as the dolphin tour is very crowded with not a lot of dolphins. I’d head to Amed beach and spend all my time there.

it was okay, the staff were nice and helped arrange our tours for us. do the plankton tour!! so worth it

It’s clean and the location is good, because it’s near the beach, where you can do the dolphins tours 👍🏻 The owner was a little rude in my opinion, and what is really annoying is that you have to pay for water refill 🙄 in addition, there were a lot of rats running around, which I didn’t like at all. I’m glad I only stayed one night, but if you wanna stay one night in Lovina to see the dolphins, the hostel is good.

Unfortunately when I was there it was very quiet, I was one of two people staying in the dorm room. While the owners were absolutely lovely and so helpful, I would not recommend this place for a solo female traveller as I was harassed by others living/working along the same road as the guesthouse. However, the tours organised through the guesthouse were amazing, and well priced and I can’t overstate how lovely the owners were. Amazing view of rice fields and mountains, and 5 mins from the beac...

It is a very basic Guesthouse with no space to socialize. It was cleaned every day, but for example the barhroom felt icky. We had no warm water in the bathroom. You have no privacy in your bed as there are no curtains. Few times I saw rats running around the property, they even climbed to the second floor. I didn't like that one of the owners dogs was chained up during the day directly with the chain without a colar.

a good stay in lovina, the dog is cute, no curtains in the dorms thought the have activities you can boom with them and a taxi services, by sure yo check grab/gojak prices first though.

Really great place to stay in Lovina! Very friendly family that could arrange lots of trips/services/bikes etc. Even though it was fairly quiet it was a great vibe. Could just do with a common area and it would be perfect. Things like hand soap in bathrooms would be a bonus!

A nice place with a short walk to the beach. The private room was pool front and very dark keeping the blinds closed for privacy. The road was closed to the hostel so we had to go around, it would have been nice to be notified.

Grab/Gojek does not operate in Amed, either self drive or use local bikes but they will charge double or more than apps. Hostel was alright, not many options in the area, breakfast was basic but included and property was clean. Hostel super helpful for booking diving and activities or onward travel, however they charge more than if you walk and speak to a local transport operator. I would stay again, people were social while I was there :)

Ik heb zonder telefoon gereisd dus ik moest uitgaan van de adviezen van andere. Ik ben blij dat ik hier heb geslapen. Het eten was goed, bedden prima en de ligging ook. Mocht je trouwens benieuwd zijn naar hoe het is om zonder telefoon te reizen. Ik heb er een podcast over gemaakt genaamd: Uit je scherm, in het leven. Ga het zeker checken op Spotify!

It had a nice location near the beach. Pool was very dirty. The room was big but extremely hot in there. Overall nice hostel but not social. Theres only one dorm room, the rest are privates

Really nice guesthouse. Great swimming pool and outdoor area. Dorms comfortable and nice staff. 5 minute walk to main area. Recommended.
