- Não gostei do atendimento, funcionários muito mal preparados, sem respeito com o cliente. Os quartos são muito apertados e não tem limpeza do local. Não recomendo esta hospedagem.
- Although I had several pleasant stays at Generator Hostel in December, my overall experience ended very negatively. On the final night of my stay, all of my belongings went missing after housekeeping stripped the bed I was using. This caused significant inconvenience at the time, and unfortunately the situation has never been resolved. Reception staff and housekeeping were unable to locate my belongings, and despite being in contact with the hostel ever since, no solution or compensation has been offered. It has now been one and a half months since the incident, my belongings have not been returned, and I have received no solution from the hostel. The matter remains completely unaddressed. Due to the lack of care for guests’ belongings, the inability to handle such situations responsibly, and the poor customer service surrounding this incident, I would not recommend staying here.

- Non c'è la cucina, stanza sporchissima, avevo le lenzuola sporche di marrone, abbiamo dormito tutti ammassati, il lavandino nella stanza, alla reception il signore che c'era era ironico e non mi ha fatto sentire a mio agio in alcun modo, tra un po' mi prendeva in giro. Veramente la stanza era davvero sporca, non ci tornerei mai.

- Cheguei ao hostel cansada depois de uma longa viagem. O rapaz da recepção me deu a chave e não me disse absolutamente nada. Nem sequer me disse a direção do quarto ou o andar do quarto. Fiquei rodando com a mochila pesada nas costas, procurando o quarto. Ele não foi o único funcionário ruim. A maioria deles trabalha de má vontade e não se mostra solícito para nada. As camas são de três andares, uma altura muito perigosa e que coloca a segurança do hóspede em risco. As escadas de acesso são mal projetadas e perigosas. Fiquei 5 diárias no hostel e o banheiro do quarto não foi limpo. A roupa de cama cheirava mal e tinha fios de cabelo. O hostel não oferece uma cozinha para os hóspedes, não há geladeira, micro-ondas, nada que o hóspede possa usar no dia a dia. Eles dizem cobrar uma pequena taxa pela toalha de banho, mas na verdade é cobrado 7 euros, uma taxa abusiva. Tudo é cobrado, inclusive os jogos que são gratuitos em todos os hostels. Uma das funcionárias foi grosseira comigo, pois queria um pagamento imediato, sendo que o pagamento poderia ser feito no check-out. Eu estava apenas questionando a cobrança de uma taxa que poderia ter sido deixada como cortesia. Deixei cair um brinco embaixo da cama, quando fui pegar me deparei com muita sujeira embaixo da cama, chepas de cigarro, embalagens de comida, sujeira acumulada há muito tempo, com certeza. Foi a pior experiência que já tive em um hostel, nunca fui tão mal atendida. Conhecer a Holanda era um sonho, foi minha primeira vez em Amsterdã. Essa experiência horrível nesse péssimo hostel tornou minha viagem que era para ser feliz em uma viagem triste e estressante. No momento do check-out relatei aos dois funcionários presentes sobre a violência da outra atendente, eles se mostraram gentis e me ouviram. Mas a experiência foi ruim como um todo. Infelizmente, minha experiência em Amsterdã foi ruim devido a essa péssima hospedagem.

Those bunk beds are a safety hazard you have to climb so high to the top bunk. The check in process is disorganized, they couldn't find anyone's bookings without the full reference code and gave an attitude like it was somehow your fault. The rooms are crazy small and cramped. Lockers are small and outdated - get a built in lock who still relies on people bringing padlocks? Top bunks don't even have privacy curtains. Location is a pain in the ass to get to.
The eggs in the breakfast buffet do not taste good. The capsules are not very sound proof and a lot of noise around but that is the only problem. Staff is nice, the place is cool, good dinner food options and the capsule beds are very cool.
The bunk beds were extremely dangerous as it was so high almost touching the ceiling. For 6 people to share that room it was extremely difficult, no space to move. You also have to pay to leave luggage in their luggage room - considering how expensive this hostel it should be free.
Great value for money, great location in the middle of a very nice and large park, 30 min enjoyable walk into centre and there are very accessible and easy to use trams too if you'd rather do that. Only issues were the shower water getting everywhere and the lockers underneath the beds being pretty broken, as you could get into it regardless of having a lock on. Recommend for short stays
Best hostel ever! It felt like a home to me. This was my second time staying here, and I will definitely come again! The location is perfect, with beautiful park right nearby. I also like that the hostel is not right in the city centre, so it’s peaceful and there isn’t too much noise or tourism around. At the same time, there’s a tram stop close by, so you can easily get anywhere in the city quickly. Overall, it has everything you need from a hostel!
The socket by the bed was broken. As I was able to charge my phone using a power bank, it wasn’t a problem with the cable or the phone itself. I asked the hotel reception to sort it out, but they replied that there was nothing they could do and that there was nothing to be done about it. I felt they could have moved me to another room or provided a charging point somewhere, but in the end, I was unable to charge my phone at the hotel. My room key stopped working twice.

I had a very disappointing experience. The location is quite far from the main areas, making it inconvenient to get around. My bed didn’t have a curtain, which affected my privacy, and when I asked for help, the staff was rude and unwilling to assist. The hostel felt disorganized and not very welcoming overall. Considering the price, I expected much better. I wouldn’t stay here again.
We went there for kingsday and had a private 6 bed dorm. Our sink didn’t drain, so it was almost unusable

Gutes Hostel, in guter Lage! Nettes Personal. Nicht so sauberes Wc in dem sechser Frauen Zimmer. Aber alles in allem trotzdem empfehlenswert!

I knew the location was far outside of the city center, I thought the park like setting would be a nice but it’s not that great. I had a pod & the bar noise keeps the pod area very loud - until about 4am with music. You have to share the toilets with bar customers- they get very dirty. Imagine having to wash up in a bar bathroom everyday. The pod creaked every time the person above moved. So no sleep, dirty, disappointing location, few amenities. Staff say they’ll fix things but they don’...
Muy bien ubicado, El desayuno es muy bueno, los alrededores son hermosos. Las instalaciones muy bien aprovechadas, las camas muy cómodas.
Very well located, breakfast is very good, the surroundings are beautiful, the facilities are very well used, the beds are very comfortable.
I would highly recommend staying here and I will be again when I come back to Amsterdam. The facilities were great, we enjoyed some amazing fresh mint tea each night, being able to rent bikes all day was amazing and the location was superb. Could not have been a better place to stay.
Very nice place. Friendly staff and easy to navigate. Only problem is when we arrived, there was sick all over the sink and they didn’t get someone in to clear it up until the following morning! Other than that, lovely stay and would recommend
It was a good hostel. I did not like the triple bunk bed
Staff was awesome, location is nice and the pods were nice! However the bathrooms were disgusting - specifically the showers. The showers overflow after 30 seconds of running the water, every single shower. The point of shower shoes didn’t even matter because the water goes up to your ankles in each one.

Had a wonderful stay in every way, the place is very cool with great vibes. The only issue is the location a bit far from city central if walking.
