Hostel La Posada

Tuvimos varios inconvenientes. La habitación tenía tapado el inodoro, la sopapa estaba rota, la cadena también. Los colchones viejos que te clavan los resortes en la espalda. Mucha humedad en la habitación, con varios hongos en las paredes. No reparan en ningún detalle, la precariedad es general para la habitación y el hostel en sí. Eso incluye la cocina y los espacios comunes. Fuimos porque en la app tiene buenas reseñas, lo cual no tiene coherencia con lo que es el lugar.

Female staff were extremely rude and not helpful at all. They said there was night time security which I never seen one single time, main gate was always open. Kitchen area was pretty gross, tons of ants. The wifi was spotty and they shut the water off to the hostel with no warming. The breakfast was really good and the rooms/bathrooms were kept clean but I wouldn’t stay here again. I also didn’t get my deposit back for my room keys as they didn’t have anyone at the front deck when I neede...

it's very expensive for what you're getting, but I guess that's most of Costa Rica

Leider wird man mit Gratis Getränken/ Essen gelockt eine gute Bewertung zu machen. Aufgrund der Hygiene und den teilweise kaputten Betten, können wir dem nicht zustimmen. Eine Mitarbeiterin ist wirklich freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber eine andere war hat uns angepampt weil uns nachts wegen der Klimaanlage kalt war. Also würde das Hostel aufjedenfall nicht weiterempfehlen oder wieder nehmen. Weiß aber auch nicht welche Hostel sonst für den Preis zuhaben sind.

Das WLAN war eigentlich gar nicht vorhanden, immer wieder weg und geladen hat auch nichts, war wie keins. Das Personal war zwar nett, wenn es denn mal da war und auffindbar war. Wir mussten eine halbe Stunde auf den Check-In warten, weil das Personal mit Mittagessen vor unseren Augen beschäftigt war.

Very disappointing hostel, the facilities didn’t work, no hot water or only hot water and the AC temperature couldn’t be changed-making it really hot at night. We asked staff for help with both of these issues and they didn’t seem to care or try and change anything. Aside from this the hostel was not social at all and was really disappointing as online it was suggested to be a quite social. Overall would not stay again.

Dit hostel viel erg tegen. Op de gedeelde slaapkamer was blijkbaar geen stromend water, hier waren wij niet over ingelicht. Alleen drie toiletten en een douche werkten. De tweede dag was er nergens stromend water. De baliemedewerker zei dat het een probleem in heel de stad was terwijl wij vrienden hadden in een andere hostel zonder problemen. De baliemedewerker was onvriendelijk en bleef zeggen ‘welkom in santa teresa’. Aan het eind van de dag werkte het water wel.

The staff was lovely! Can’t say anything bad about the staff. But there were two cockroaches under my bed when I arrived and the dorm, especially the bathroom, was never cleaned and really dirty. Also i think it’s not good that the reception is not open after 10/11 and opens around 7am. Looks nice on the picture but it’s far from every point of interest in Santa Teresa. Unless you have a vehicle, I don’t recommend this hostel, and even if you do, it’s unpleasant to drive every single time you want to go somewhere. Also, the managers are not flexible at all. We booked 5 nights but did not feel good there and wanted to be closer to the center so we decided to leave, they didn’t want to refund any of the money, not even 20% because “it’s high season”, however we were...

Vibe was great. Also perfect for solo travellers, because the community is amazing, you will feel very welcome from the beginning. Dorms have a great size, with AC! The location of the hostel is perfect, only a few hundred meters to the beach and a supermarket right in front of it.

This hostel had a good chill vibe and lots of friendly but down to earth volunteer staff. It's not right on Playa Santa Teresa, but still in a good area right across from beach access. Common areas and kitchen were nice.

We arrived and immediately extended our stay as long as possible. We had 5 wonderful days in the Hostel and the town. Good vibes, nice staff and amazing barbecue with tasty chimichurri by chiqui.

Je suggère fortement cet hostel !! Le personnel était tellement gentil. J’avais booker pour 5 jours mais je suis rester 10 jours !!

This place is such a vibe. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is just fantastic. Pool makes the chilling super easy, full kitchen makes cooking nice with grocery stores nearby, and the beach is right there. about a 10 min walk from the main clubs on the strip. Long 30 min walk from Somos so if that’s your plan I’d maybe stay elsewhere. Loved this hostel tho would definitely stay again!

great social hostel, I met the best group of backpackers there. The staff and volunteers were incredible and friendly. The manager Vale makes sure everything is well. Location is perfect for the beach and can rent boards at the hostel.

Bonne auberge, manque de rideaux pour les lits superposés des dortoirs, propres. Ambiance peu inclusive entre le staff et les voyageurs et les voyageurs entre eux. Activités proposées assez chères. Cuisine fonctionnelle sauf quand tout le staff arrive en même temps pour se faire à manger, nous n’avons plus de place. Petit dej identique pendant 6 jours c’est dommage. If you are wanting a teenage/young party vibe, overpriced events and bed bug bites all over your body then stay here lol I was sad i stayed for 2 nights unfortunately i had no choice and got bit with bugs at night in separate rooms i slept in. Otherwise the hosts are okay. at least they helped me get a shuttle to LA FORTUNA which is now taking me over 10 hours to get to instead of 5! Very poor communication 😕

Really nice place with friendly staff and great facilities centrally located in Carmen Beach. The shared bathrooms can benefit from regular cleaning though as they were messy most of times and not well-maintained.

Hostel très sympa pour rencontrer des gens, il fallait souvent payer pour chaque activité organisée dans l’hostel chose qui était un peu pénible mais sinon très bonne ambiance, emplacement, équipements etc

The hostel is amazing, the staff is super friendly and there are activities almost every days to bond with other guests. Highly recommend la posada!

The shared rooms could be a bit better, but overall the hostel is good. It has nice social areas, a pool, and a kitchen. Cleanliness could be improved. It’s a bit far from the center, but it’s close to some of the nicest beaches, really depends on what you’re looking for in your trip 😊

Increíble hostel. Desde el primer momento se siente la buena vibra del lugar. Los voluntarios y todo el equipo siempre están alegres, atentos y con la mejor disposición para ayudarte y hacer que tu estadía sea realmente especial. No tengo nada malo que decir: todo siempre limpio y ordenado, ubicación al lado de la playa y de supermercados, y además organizan actividades todos los días, lo que hace muy fácil conocer gente. De verdad uno de los mejores hostales en los que me he quedado!!! ...

Sin duda el mejor hostal que me he hospedado. Todo aquel que trabaja aqui lo hace con mucho cariño y buena onda, son muy cercanos y preocupados por los huéspedes! Recomendadisimo 100% ❤️
