Oasis Backpackers' Hostel Sintra Surf

There are bed bugs. Room 3. I got bitten all over a lot and now it continues to flare up 3 days on. I booked stay for 2 nights, but after being bitten I left after 1 night. Never ever will I stay again. Bathrooms in the dorms are not cleaned, cleaning staff came in, but didn't touch the toilet at all. Location and bars and music are nice, reception staff very nice.

Besides the cleaning everything still felt kinda dirty in some areas, community toilets really dirty, dorm shower was clogged, we always had to ask for new toilet paper even though they come in for cleaning every day. Only one old sponge for cleaning dishes for everybody in 2 weeks I stayed. Fridge wasn cleaned properly every monday though we had too label everything, trash cans too small in kitchen. I had black and reddish spots on my sheets, this was actually why i started researching bed bugs and because I had weird itchy bites on legs. Stuff (german women) told me these were heat pimples and degrading my experience saying these are normal bugs even though I had proof with sheets and dead and alive bed bugs that I found under my bed and under the mattress. I wasn taken seriously, she didnt say something like, „oh thanks for letting us now we will Watch this seriously“what I Would expected to be customer friendly behavior. Im aware things like this can happen everywhere specially when there is a high rotation of people and I was Never mad or angry I just wanted them to know and acknowledge it. They "cleaned" the beds in my room like spraying something and changing sheets and I got another bed. Had more bites until my departure on legs and Arms and whole body and apparently bite marks show first couple days After the bite. There were clearly no mosquito bites or heat pimples. Unpleasant experience because of bed Bugs Even though I enjoyed the place a lot. I just hope they do a Real Pest control in this room and hope other travellers will not have to Deal with these issues.
