Pinwheel Hostel Vlora & Rooftop Bar

This was, without a doubt, the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. How it got 9.2 stars I do not know. Pros: - The main owner guy was nice - The cats Cons: - Mouldy bath in bathroom - Black toilet water in toilet and a broken toilet seat. - NO AIR CON and only fans in rooms pumping around warm air - NO sociability - 5 minutes to beach that smells like porter loos and the sea is brown - The quiet location attracts creepy men who were rolling down their windows and harassing us. Das Personal war richtig richtig nett, der Ausblick wunderschön und eine sehr Social Atmosphäre. Wir haben uns jeden Morgen auf die leckeren Pancakes gefreut. In Total hatten wir einen guten Stay. Allerdings muss man jeden Abend nachfragen ob die AC angemacht werden kann und auch nach neuem Toilettenpapier. Die Dusche war leider dreckig und das Badezimmer allgemein nicht im besten Zustand. Das Hostel liegt auf einem hohen Berg und wir mussten mit den Backpacks 15 Minuten bergauf gehen.

The hostel was fine, but nothing special. Our room had no air conditioning, only fans, so it was really hot and also super loud in there. You couldn’t close the door of the Hostel room, it always opened up by itself. The outside area was quite nice, many places to chill. The breakfast was ok, there were pancakes and coffee and tea. It’s quite far from the city center, and the beach next to the hostel is super dirty.

Staff were really nice and helpful, but bathrooms and some couches were moldy. Couldn’t shake the smell. Kitchen isn’t very well equipped and also dirty. View of the beach is beautiful!

L’ambiance parfaite merci aux hôtes qui nous ont très bien accueilli, cela donne ensuite le ton pour faire les rencontres avec les voyageurs avec qui on s’est bien entendu et fait des sorties ensuite ! Niveau propreté on était un peu déçue mais à part ça rien à dire :)

Sehr nettes Personal. Das Hostel liegt ganz in der Nähe des Meeres. Die Möbel sind äußerst gebraucht und die Matratzen war sehr durchgelegen. Die Ventilatoren haben bei der Hitze des Augusts kaum was gebracht. Positiv waren ansonsten die netten Mitarbeiterinnen und die entspannte Atmosphäre.

A good hostel for a short stay, everyone’s super friendly and attentive. Breakfast is good too! Good location, you get a good feel of how the locals live. Only thing is the kitchen facilities are a bit dated - worn pots & it can get busy in the kitchen at times. There’s no AC, just fans so it takes some getting use to. The downstairs toilet doesn’t lock properly either. But the staff make it all worth it!

Ricardo and his friend were awesome and friendly and helped me get around Vlorë and Albania and I couldn’t recommend the people here enough!! The kittens around were a nice plus :) Unfortunately the bathroom I used (ground floor) was dirty and the shower was broken (shower head kept collapsing). The fan didn’t reach everyone in the room and it was VERY hot. All doors are unlocked (front gate, front door, room door) but there is a free locker and I get the sense it’s a safe area. Overa...

This hostel is truly amazing! If you are visiting Albania definitely book at least 1 night in this hostel. The staff is super friendly and chill and are always willing to help or accommodate. The location is amazing, you have a wonderful view over the bay but the hostel is still located in a quiet area. The rooftop is definitely the heart of the hostel and I you can always meet people there. Dorm rooms and bathrooms are tidy and cleaned daily. Lots of love for this hostel

Great place for remote workers! The view from the terrace was amazing and the internet really good. The hostel has a chill and relax vibe, the owners are really sweet and the hostel felt like a house.

Ho soggiornato al the pinwheel hostel per qualche giorno e mi sono trovata benissimo! Le camere sono pulite così come anche gli spazi comuni e i bagni. Riccardo, uno dei proprietari, è stato molto gentile e mi ha consigliato diversi posti dove andare 😁 Assolutamente consigliato

You know it’s a good hostel when you book for one night and stay for four. Couldn’t recommend enough

Had such a great time here with an amazing group of people! Also the staff was wonderful cant think of anything negative to say about them, all was well! Highly recommend staying here, especially if you like to have a couple beers.

The hostel was a pain to get to by bus. Otherwise pretty good. Great view. Pancakes every morning. Free towel. Bunk beds were 3 beds stacked but I (bottom bed) didn’t feel much movement at night. You have to ask staff to turn on AC every night which was a bit annoying.

I had a wonderful time thanks to Ricardo and Andre. I stayed a few nights extra. The Atmosphere is great. There was always a synergy. Especially on the rooftop bar🤙🏻🍸

Only stayed here one night but the staff were helpful and it was good value for money!!

Un endroit fabuleux ! Au delà de l’accueil superbe qui m’a été fait, la maison est absolument merveilleuse. On se sent chez nous très facilement. Et le rooftop est juste incroyable !

One of my favourite hostels in Albania. If you are going to Vlore this is the place to stay. Hosts were amazing, sunset view from the rooftop bar was incredible and some great beaches in walking distance. 10/10
