A good overhaul. Decorating. A proper deep clean. And sort out the bed bugs. Ref to my email on Monday 5th. Everyone that went was not happy about the state and condition. The bar area was great, its just everything else that let it down.

I don't usually leave reviews and I always feel that negative reviews are just from people liking to moan, however, if I could give this a zero, I would! Family room was very small, all areas extremely dusty, especially the coat hangers, stains on the headboard as can be seen on the photos! The bed sheets and mattress protectors were heavily stained on the bunk beds and the double bed had blood stains and holes in the sheets, unfortunately, at the time this was noticed there were no staff left on site to be able to discuss this with and change them. There was another guest shouting extremely loudly at their child throughout the night, i understand this is not the hotels fault but I feel at least if they had someone there this could be monitored for the sake of the other guests. The same guest shouting 'help me' and banging on our door at 3.30am to tell us she had bed bugs everywhere and ask what should she do and who could she phone! Guests running the corridors all through the night, no sleep, horrendous stay. The following morning went for a shower to find the plughole completely blocked, the doors didn't open and close properly and the whole bathroom flooded, with water running under the door and into the bedroom, luckily we did have a spare towel so I used this as a dam to stop anymore flooding to the room! Only positives are location and the bar area with the pool table for the kids was good.

Family rooms should probably be on the ground floor as they tend to have the most luggage to carry. Prams etc. we was on the top floor, the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, the paint on the walls was all chipped and stained, the shower was broken, the toilet was filthy, there were flies and moths everywhere. Hairs in the beds. My daughter was bit to shreds by some sort of bed bugs/flees. There are no staff around for the majority of the time, they expect you to clean your own room as there are cleaning products in the reception for you to help yourself to. There were no milk anywhere for cups of tea and 2 sugars for a family of 3 on a 3 night stay. The neighbours were very noisy but that is of no fault to the hotel.
