Combo Bologna

I was originally put in a room but the bed was infested with bed bugs, so my room was changed. The location wasn’t great as it wasn’t near the centre, and it wasn’t massively social for solo travelers.

Also... Im Vorfeld unseres 1-wöchigen Aufenthalts haben wir uns gründlich über diese Gaststätte informiert. Vor allem die Bettwanzen haben uns im Vorfeld die Lust ziemlich verdorben. Die Zimmer sind schmutzig und absolut grindig. Schmutzige Ecken und Böden, Mistkübel werden nicht entleert, die Betten werden nicht gemacht. Auch das Badezimmer lässt zu wünschen übrig. Einfach nur Ekelhaft. Der Geruch ist ekelhaft. Auch Bettwanzen sind dort anzutreffen. Die Lage könnte schlechter kaum sein. Direkt im Bereich der Obdachlosen und Abhängigen in Bahnhofsnähe, man fühlt sich als würde man mitten in einem Obdachlosencamp leben. Auch das Frühstück ist sehr sehr dürftig, das meiste schmeckt eher nach einer Plazenta. Der Urlaub an sich war sehr schön, diese Unterkunft hat jedoch jede Nacht zu einem Albtraum gemacht. Nie wieder.

The place is great. The slightly negative part is the location and that I woke up with many bug bites! Believe it was a mix of mosquitoes and bed bugs.

For such a price, this place disappointed me. I liked the cafe/patio area and enjoying a beer there but I can’t say the same about the rooms. We had a private room here. Rooms definitely need maintenance, I touched the cable of the light on the wall and it just broke. Toilet smelled like urine, just like a public toilet, there was hair behind the toilet seat and it was not cleaned very well. Bed sheets were not so clean as well, with brown dots on them. To be honest, I was scared because of the bed bug comments I saw after I booked the room. You can hear all the noise from other rooms and bathrooms. And last of all, breakfast was such a disappointment. There were only cheese, bread, croissant, and cereal. No vegetables or anything. This place should take better care of the rooms and their breakfast service especially for this price.

The music on the terrace was very loud . And there were bedbugs Far from the city centre

Had a bed bug problem in room. Had to wash everything on 60 deg, some wool clothes got ruined. Staff didn't even say sorry, wanted us to keep it silent so other guests wouldn't be 'disturbed'..... we asked for a complaint form or some form of refund and were told 'we will contact you'.. two weeks later and still no noise from Combo EDIT: Since Combo Hostel reacted: No, you gave me and my roommate access to the washing machine. When we asked about a refund, you said you would contact us via my email. You still haven't contacted me on my email, even after posting the reaction to my 1 star review. So you haven't provided me with all the help we asked for, as you clearly haven't communicated to me about anything.

Watch out bed bugs!

Next to the fact that our room had bed bugs, the manager promised to contact us about that, didnt want us to make noise about it so they could let other people still sleep in the room, and still hasn't contacted us: (not one bed bug btw there were MANY) Also staff came and saw the bed bugs and was super nonchalant about it. Literally did not care and said it was normal. Wtf? there is no hostel atmosphere. No-one is in a talky mood or viby mood. Still managed to meet some fun people though.

The hostel is near the train station Bologna and you can easy walk from there. There is unfortunatly no supermarket very close, so you have to walk a bit longer. I was bitten by bedbugs (there was no mosquito and the bites look like bedbugs). After asking for a roomchange the service was very nice and after a bit of waiting it was possible to change the room, altough the service repeated that it probably are just mosquitos. The rooms were okay, but not cleaned very well. The towels were changed everyday and there is no sign to hang up that you do not want them to come in. It is nice that you can sit outside and wash your laundry. The breakfast was okay, no fruits, pizza or biscuits at our stay. The music is annoying, all day in the frontgarden and in the kitchen.

BED BUGS I woke up to discover a bed bug in my bed. I am now covered in bites days later. Disgusting. Staff were not apologetic and denied what clearly was a bed bug having shown then a video.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. RUINED MY HOLIDAY. We went as a couple and even though we knew it was a hostel we didn't expect to be that bad. Where do I start? It says budget, but it's not, we payed as much as 4 star hotel. If we could, we would have had our money back and move out. This is what we got -Bed bugs -Poor disgraceful breakfast. You cannot take more than 1 coffee, or more than 1 crossaint or of anything and no choice of breakfast, no buffet and scarce food (WORST THING OF ALL) -Rooms are not cleaned everyday. Towels are not changed - THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE ANYWHERE -No Tv in room -Noises at night - Lights constantly going off and on Please save your time and money guys. I will forever be angry with them for ruining my holiday

English Version below Leider gibt es in dieser Unterkunft Bettwanzen. Es war unsere erste Nacht in Italien, d.h. die Stiche stammen aus dieser Nacht. Zudem sind die Stiche/Bisse direkt nebeneinander (wie eine Straße), was typisch für Bettwanzen ist, da sie mehrmals nebeneinander stechen/beißen bis sie Zugang zu einem Blutgefäß gefunden haben. Auch sonst war es nicht sauber und andere Gäste recht laut. Schien mir eher was für junge Partyleute zu sein. Englisch Short Version: In this accomodation are bed bugs. It was our first night in italy, so the bites must be from this Hostel. The bites look typical for bed bugs. Anyway its more a place for partypeople, because it was not clean and some guests very loud.

Unfortunately I was bitten by bedbugs, and electricity went out first day. Staff was totally unprofessional and unhelpful. The guy from reception suggested that I can use the flashlight on my phone to take shower and get ready (he said that they don’t have any other bathroom which I can use). When I told them about my problem with bed bugs they ignored firstly, saying that they checked and was nothing there and when I asked for my money back and said that wanna leave the place, got really mad and impolite. The man literally lost his temper (I was really kind and calm), suggested that I brought the bedbugs with me and screamed at me. While I was taking he turned out and said it’s impossible to refund my money. Luckily some nice lady came after all and tried to solve the problem, made me pay the fee (which is insane in my opinion) and after all transferred my money back after a week (into my bank account). I really understand they such a problem can happen but the way of solving was totally rude, unprofessional and not satisfied.
